Yes, the tomato sauce just puts me off too… yes I remember one time I was home alone and starving! There was no mayo, so I tried making tuna with ketchup…,YECH!!! It was the grossest thing I ever tasted!!! I got so sick just thinking about it!!! So I think I was conditioned then! Lol… And it’s odd because like a breaded, fried fish sandwich, I love ketchup on those! Lol Perhaps you are right, cooking them could make all the difference in rye world! I bet it would!!! The taste is probably actually excellent, it just seems so unappetizing to my mind that way! Lol!
