Based on a bunch of other things he said during the review, I think he was trying to insinuate that white and black is something rooted in racism. Even though the colours represent light and dark/day and night. I might be wrong.

With the alters to the board and the story cards, you'd have to do a lot of work to make it playable again on the same copy. Buying a new copy is technically replaying, I suppose, but now you know what the individual story choices do. You'd need to compartmentalize some knowledge.

I own this game and I'm excited to start playing it. I didn't fully realize the legacy aspect of it. Will it be difficult/impossible to play different sessions with different people? I'd like to bring the game to a weekend get-together, but I'm worried about locking in those particular people as the only ones I can/should play with.

You can, it's just a bit more involved, you have to use post-its (or something to that effect. A specific color of small lego brick would also work) and take notes (like which envelopes and specific cards you've used, the points, who's gotten which sticker, etc.). Taking a picture afterwards also helps, to clear things up. For board altering stuff you could use post its or pieces of paper.

I have played some of Kings Dilemma but found that scoring is off in there. For me it is a wonderful storytelling / storydebating game.

Scoring is off meaning that you don't like how it's scored, or that it's not explained well?

@@GLHFBoardGames like I don't think scoring should be part of the game^^. I see it more as a moral adventure rather than a competative game.

Scoring is also not well expained in the collum coins it gives a example that cannot be matched. On page 33 example score card they have given the 5 players +3,+1,+1,0,0 for coins score - that’s an impossible end result given the secret agendas as there are no cards that give 1 point for second place

Wtf was up with the black and white token color comment lol. So unnecessary. The thought never even crossed my mind until watching this video. Not sure how I feel about these undertones when it comes to a board game video. I mean this game is political enough. There’s a time and place for everything and this just sours what seems to be a educational video for a possibly fun board game. I mean if this is your message for your videos I’d suggest displaying using a different medium other than board games because that’s not what I came to this video for but i guess that’s what the review portion implies. Aside from that, thanks for showing me how to play.

@@GLHFBoardGames of course I meant forcing. "Pronoun neutrality" in board games is unnecessary, and reviewing it more so. It doesn't make you better. On the contrary it alerts devousness.. I really appreciated your comment about it being questionable choices for the white and black pieces. All too often "white is good" and "black is bad".

They're colours, not some deep metaphor for race. White is light and black is the dark. Also, white people aren't white and black people aren't black really.

Vex- checked back on this today. About 1/3 (or so) of the art we discovered is people in full armor. Of the remainder, about 1/3 of that is POC. Not outstanding, but I'm willing to concede that I haven't looked through the entirety of the cards. (many, many envelopes we haven't gotten to yet or opted out of)
