@@meandi10000 They are there for one hour, then they go inside for a wet rub down and are given not only water to drink but a special mash that is full of electrolytes to replace any lost.
Yep, pack it up folks, no more complaining. We've cured depression and neglect worldwide! Don't believe me? Well answer me this: Have you drank water lately, or at all? Especially after standing long periods in the sun? There. Irrefutable PROOF you are neither struggling or in need, you are perfectly well and healthy. Check mate, activists.
They are not neglected but they are made to stand in one spot for prolonged periods of time while they are constantly harassed by tourists. And that is abusive.
Also possibly because the other horse had been drinking from the same container and the second horse was reacting to first horse's pheromones within the water?
who ever said these horses have been neglected they are very wrong they are treated like gods the soldiers they love these horses. They would never mistreat them. They get well looked after so to the person who said the staples are not looked after i would like to say stop what you are saying you don't know what you are talking about The soldiers would never neglect these horses❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The horses look beautiful and I have seen a documentary on the Queen’s Guards, their training and the horsemen. The horses are well cared for. How long is their shift, I wonder, not being able to walk around must be a little difficult for them but at least they can back into the shade.
These beautiful horses stand for exactly 'one hour' and if you know horses then you know how hard graft it is to keep them and their tack clean and these guys have to be sparking clean and all the horses have to do is stand and munch!! 😊🐴
A Load Of Propaganda Nonsence No Need For Gods Creatures To Be Exploited In This Ridiculous Way. I Do Not Agree With Gods Creatures Sat On For Hours and Hours And Hours To Fit This Bull Shat Fake Narrative
The answer is simple. Don't watch the videos. These horses are so well looked after the best care and the best veterinary staff. This is a traditional going back hundreds of years. Leave them alone
They stand watch a lot in their lives, endure all the tourists and heat noise! It’s amazing how well they do behave on watch. They have figured this gig out!
I still think they should be away from party visitors. 👑 Charles should do something to protect both the horses and the guards.....visitors not being able to go near them. Please Your Majesty, visitors are fine but they can upset both guard and horse. Your obedient servant.
@@apollonia6656these guards and horses have a job to do, they are well trained and doing a great job, don’t feel sorry for them, they don’t need your pity, only your courtesy while they are doing their job
@velocitymg, I have great courtesy for both guards and horses, but some people do not. I really think you misinterpreted what I said and I am getting the abuse....have you not seen how some people are touching (often acting like idiots); this upsets the horses and the guards can do very little. There are noticed telling people NOT to touch the horses. Gosh, when did I say they mistreat the horses ? Whose comment have you been reading. Btw: My uncle is in the Grenadier Guards and I have the highest respect for the guards and feel they need PROTECTION from some idiots who act like pests. How would you like to have people to the right, left and centre getting nearer and nearer and can't do anything ? The water was a most needed thing and one can see how the horses know their friends . Please RE-READ my comment and not confuse me with another's. Still feel the guards and horses need a gate away from the public.
One of my mares use to do that everytime she drank water. I supposes she thought it was cute. She would knock the heater out of the water tub every morning.
@@bowlingbill9633 😂 no they can't drink that well with bit still in the mouth. As horses like us suck up water and the bit in it's mouth does not help it to create a good seal, Don't believe me put your small finger in the side of your mouth and try suck up water.
They’ve been at this a long time. If there was something wrong, they’d know. There’s nothing wrong with the horse. I’ve never heard of a bit breaking because it’s isteel and sits behind their teeth.
Not really. You’d have to carry a sponge as well as a trug full of water and It’s HEAVY and once you get there, you don’t want to get hairy, sweaty water into the drinking water so what do you do after the first wetting? Also they aren’t TRYING to get their uniforms soaked(the horses goals MAY differ here 😂)so sticking it in a pocket isn’t really a go even wrung out . Easier to just use their hands…..all that matters is that they get the water on there, not how it gets there so much, and that way the water stays clean to drink for the second horse.
Interesting that the sign says the horses may kick or bite, but parents are allowing their kids to go pet the horses. Of course, the guardsmen are not warning them away, so....
They only have a single big despite having double reins: I’ve seen video of them in the stables putting on the harness or soldiers carrying the harnesses.
Everyones talking about the horses but I wonder if the guard gets a water break too? It must be extra stuffy having to wear the uniform in the hot sun.
Only thing Horses can't drink that well with a bit in it's mouth, as horses like us suck up water to drink. Try putting your small finger in the side of your mouth and then try to suck up some water and you will find you can't drink as well.
London is getting too hot and too buzzy for the confinement of these great horses to be standing on concrete for ages carrying 12 stone without the stress relief of movement. The soldier was as caring as he should be, but horses need constant access to drinking water/automatic watering bowls they drink about 16 gallons a day if allowed.
@@kathellison8084 1 hour is too long to stand still carrying all that weight in such an environment. Shock absorbing rubber stable matting could be put in the sentry boxes to ease the fetlock a bit , but 15mins or no static duty at all would be best. Also am shocked these horses don't have the standard 12 ft loose boxes so they can lie down or roll, instead they are tied in stalls that look 6 feet wide. Not acceptable for horses that do so much road work.
