In this episode, we find out that the genie might not be all that we think he is even though we’re not supposed to know that he’s a genie yet but he’s a genie

I think that boy in the water might not have our best interest at heart.

With all the "hic", thought the mint made the genie drunk, but then started jumping all over the screen like that. Like wooh, WTF. 😂🤣 Anyways, enjoying this, and you don't have to worry if it's too long for me. If it gets to be, I'll just save it for playing in the background during the gaming session, so I'm good either way. And thank you.

He is drunk. The mint is like alcohol to him.

Pretty sure the close up of the Genie is based from Manhunter?

That is what I assumed.

Yeah, this version definitely has downgraded graphics from the first video you did. That one had King's Quest 4/Space Quest 3 type graphics. This one has really early graphics. I guess they made 2 different versions of this. Maybe that's why it took 18 years. On the bright side, it's pretty cool that this version has PC speaker music doing the same music as the music in the original game. Nice job with the pawn shop owner's voice. It sounds pretty close to Dave Fennoy's voice. Your difficulty in picking up the book on the table reminds me of why I don't like the typing interface. You have to type exactly the words that the game wants you to type. That always gave me a headache and frustrated me. As opposed to the point-and-click interface, which is considerably easier to work with. The original version of this game came out when I was 4 and my brother had it for as long as I can remember, so I feel fortunate to have grown up in an area where point-and-click interface existed. I can't imagine what it's like to have grown up in an era without that and all you had was these typing games. Granted, I ended up playing those too, but only with a lot of help from my brother. When they gave me King's Quest 3 for my birthday and said "Go play this," the only things I could do are do chores, find all of the Manannan punishments, and find all the different ways to die in the first part of the game. Without my older brother, I could make zero progress. I can't imagine having to play these kinds of games by yourself. I was surprised to find out that the book on the center table was indeed the boring book. In the original, that was Jollo's book (well, it wasn't really his book, but it was the book that he read. It was on that table because he reads it there all the time). On the bright side, the fact that you just picked up the book of love poetry just by walking up to the bookcase was pretty cool. 6:31 That was meant as a hint for that riddle in the realm of the death? I thought the little piece of paper in the spider's web was the hint for that. 7:34 Yeah, Alexander can instantly recognize spell books because he spent the first 18 years of his life being surrounded by them. I like how they zoom in on the genie's face and clearly show you the twinkling eye. I don't like how it's a struggle to walk that little path to the docks. That was another problem I had with these older games, winding pathways and winding staircases of death. I like how he automatically knocks on the ferryman's door. Knocking on the ferryman's door was sometimes an annoying thing in the original game. The music in the ferryman's home is a little different. It used to be "Blow the man down." I enjoyed watching the genie while Alhazred told him off about the mints.
