Alexander is back to his KQ III self as he ventures to the Green Isle to woo a girl he met for fifteen seconds at the end of KQ V! All is not well in this land and Alexander decides to investigate, since he can't leave anyway!
In this episode, we find out that the genie might not be all that we think he is even though we’re not supposed to know that he’s a genie yet but he’s a genie

You're right, does sound like Q Bert, specially the Arcade version on MAME. 😉 Yeah, not just having to click just right on those spots, plus having to solve puzzles, seems like one of the more difficult moments of the game. Glad you made it, and enjoying this Let's Play. Thank you.

The cliffs of logic weren't a problem in the original. Why this was made at all, and why they felt this was worth 18 years of work, the world may never know. On the positive side, this shows the genie flying around more than the original did. 21:23 A new death message! That's something we haven't seen. The original one was "And then there's some land I'd like to sell you in the death bogs of Tamir." Most of these deaths have the same message as the original. I think this is the first one that was new. You can't die in the peppermint cave. Also, in the original, you didn't have to light the tinder box on your way out. You could just click on the exit and he'd go there. You only needed to light it when you first went in (but it could be different in this version). 24:34 18 years of working on it and there are still typos like this in the game? Geez. 25:00 That's exactly what Alexander says to the Druids. They didn't listen and neither will these people. They all think you're an enemy. 25:08 They didn't see you when you were on the beach. They were just standing at their post. They couldn't see what we going on below the cliff.

[...SPLAT!] "Rebecca Williams says: 'Be More Careful...!'" :P @ Adam -- one game I particularly remember that did the "symbols on every page" manual thing, was _The Even More Incredible Machine_ -- it was a seemingly random sequence of three of the various game parts, such as a bowling ball, a teeter-totter, and the lasso that represented a bit of rope. Thing is, the manual, as it were, presented itself as a pocket notebook from the engineer at Sierra who, supposedly, actually created the games -- a "Professor Tim" (har, har, har) -- and if you actually read it, it's stinkin _hilarious_ . All sorts of wisecracks, puns, stupid doodles, and shenanigans. I used to have an actual hardcopy, and sadly it eventually fell apart. I'm pretty sure I still have the original game disk, somewhere, though -- it fit on a single floppy! Those were the days...

Also, I don't remember if in your playthrough if you found the added guidebook lying next to the castle. It contains the alphabet and cliff answers. It can be accessed while doing the logic puzzles. Helps explain how Alexander could possibly know the answers to any of this stuff. BREACH OF COPYRIGHT PROTECTION!!! Since you already finished the game, you probably already found it. Oh you sweet summer child. Infinite blessings to you for playing through this. I will say, I strongly dislike the Logic Cliffs in the original game, so many years ago, this demake was quite different. Originally, I made only ONE puzzle at the bottom (4 button puzzle) and when you solve it, a flight of stairs appears that automatically walks you straight up and that was it. If you didn't solve it right, a trap door would open in the ground and you would die. I thought people might frown on this, so I made the whole thing. Awful thing to make. Lots of math involved with calculating distances between stones and the trajectory for Alexander to jump.
