In the middle of the book of Proverbs are the 30 Wise Sayings. These are a collection within a collection of other adages and sage aphorisms complied by the “wisest leader to have ever lived.” Unfortunately, Solomon did not heed his own advice, and acquired many foreign wives, descending into idolatry. These 30 pearls are given new life using several of the more modern Bible translations.
