My fruiting area is between 62-68 degrees. So far so good. I hope I don't get blocth and can grow beautiful mushrooms that look at yours Earth Angelface 💕
Thank you so much for this video. I’m struggling with my Kings. First time trying them. I think it’s just too warm for them so I’ll try shocking them with a lower temperature and scratch the top. This has been the most useful video I’ve found on the subject. Subscribed and Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hey T.R. I have Shiitake logs and was surprised to see pinning already with such chilly Temps here in West Michigan at Easter. So what temp should are the temp parameters for outdoor Shiitake? Thx
So would I be able to grow these outside in bags after they colonize indoors? I'm looking for ways to grow along with the changing outside Temps and humidity rather trying to create those conditions inside. Thx for your guidance mate.
Thanks T.R i grew a bunch of kings a month ago. I noticed they took 2 weeks to pin. In 2 weeks the bag was colonized. I cut the plastic, scratched, threw in the grow and zilch until 2 weeks. So you explained why it took so damn long. Also i noticed you cut the plastic off while wtf leaves the plastic on for his kings. I figured brian was trying to hold more co2 for the nicer shorter kings than gigantic ones (i learned that the hard way) so just personal preference on plastic?
What's the max temp both high and low for Kings? I don't have a way to grow in 50 degree Temps unless I put them outside in a tent during sprung or fall.
Hello, I would like to know after the incubation room at a temperature of 25 ° C you go into the production room, at what temperature and humidity and Co2? and how long should you stay in this room? once brought into the cultivation room what are the ideal conditions of humidity and CO2 temperature? Thanks
Thank you for the video! One question I have, that didn't get covered well in the video, at what point after pin formation do you remove the top portion of the bag and put in the fruiting room?
Hi can somebody explain if you should scratch the surface after they colonized, or after the first set of pins? What if the block starts pinning on its own while the bags is closed, should you leave them be or scratch the surface? And do you apply the casing layer right after scratching?
Awesome Trumpets :D Just one question. I see, that u have very little to none side pinning. How to avoid that and what is causing that problem. I have much more pinning from bottom and side that from top in some bags. Thanks!
Now I'm nervous. You said Kings will expose how good of a grower you are! I've got 7 blocks closing in on colonization. But, I've never grown them before so its a maiden voyage
Have you tried growing P. nebrodensis? I had a culture I got from someone in the mail and made a sawdust block and it didn't fruit for me, so I put it outside. A few months later a massive, gorgeous mushroom appeared. Probably one of the best edibles I've had, but super fussy!
@@seancostello26 I'm from italy where nebrodensis come from, It's originary from Nebrodi mountains in Sicily, it's a very complicated mushroom to fruit, it needs cold shock but not so much surface humidity, at 10/12 degrees won't fruit so well, each strain has it's characteristics.
You have to cut a hole in the top corner in the bag to allow air exchange and to let some of the air out which allows you to push the bag in/down against the top of the block to scrape it, you don't actually go into the bag.
Hello TR! what temperature do you keep the room at while the kings are in the bags? you said slightly cooler than colonization room temperature, could you plz specify? Your videos have been helping me alot so I thank you for taking the time to help us newbies!!
@@fredflint6733 lol I discovered that also. He literally wants big bucks to respond to his followers!! Oh well, you know who's also a brilliant grower and instructor? Tony Shields with Freshcap Mushrooms. Sorry T.R. but, Tony is a badass grower that answers questions without any sarcastic remarks
Struggling w Kings here. Exact info i needed right now as tried to fruit too early and aborted pins. Found this "consolidation" times/temps only on TRs' #EarthAngelMushrooms. Much respect!
at least yours pinned lol i just have a solid block of mycelium.. i've watched a few vids and i know now i need to soak it and then put a casing layer on to get good fruiting

120 pounds a week, In grams 54431. 500g king oyster pack £9.95. Dude your are fucking rolling in cash ! I want to grow mushrooms full time but not sure how to start a large grow currently doing grey oysters but would love to do kinda and reishi can I grow them in the same space?
it sounds nice but at the end of the day, you make far less than that.. take out employee costs and overhead, and it's more like 4 or 5 dollars a pound which is only 500-600 dollars a week
