We've already learned a lot from the 2 previous videos which tackled most combat systems present in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. With those out of the way,our attention can now be focused on the gameplay features observable from all available materials. We'll be looking at this through the lens of someone familiar with KCD1,to see how these adjustments improved the playing experience by comparison. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an upcoming medieval RPG set in 15th century Bohemia,developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver.

If we take a close look at the horse icon above its stamina bar while mounted,you'll notice it changes depending on how fast we're going. There are 4 of them in total,most likely representing the 4 basic gaits; Walk,Trot,Canter,and Gallop. Although as mentioned in the video,we now only have to think about speeding up or slowing down.

​​@@DanielaFurtado-s5s game awards are a meaningless marketing gimmick. The game awards are a money laundering scheme disguised as a corporate circlejerk. Game Journalism is a biased joke filled with out of touch tourists. Meanwhile, Rockstar's track record of boring and meaningless sandbox and arbitrarily restrictive and oppressively linear missions in their games remains to be broken in GTA6.

@@PlusTiger GTA 6 got pushed back to 2026. KCD2 will compete against Ghost of Yotei, though. (Not economically, GoY is coming out months after KCD2, but it will be tough competition at the game awards.)

About dirtiness effecting stealth, maybe it works the other way. Imagine being covered in mud while out in nature, I can imagine that would be a benefit to stealth. It would be super cool if they made it depend on where you are, being a benefit in nature and a drawback in town.

About chainmail and coif or leg chainmail and hose, warhorse said that there will be layers of clothing. For example you can’t equip chainmail wothout coif.

Despite that, thank you for your work on your videos, they are really high quality and easy to follow. The animation with the inventory changes here, and the little illustrations in the video where you discussed the combat system, were phenomenal.

You’re by far the most in depth game analyst out there, thank god you do it for, in my opinion, an underrated game such as KCD I noticed in your description the gameplay made by sir Tobi in German isn’t listed, it’s quite long and if you find a way to translate it maybe you can get more insights, for instance I noticed the herbalism skill isn’t available anymore, my guess being that it got merged with alchemy because it isn’t very engaging: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ot2MbQmhpLo.htmlsi=zu1dVUQ1-CN5txfV

Alchemy is clear for me, and it was mentioned in several interviews, mostly in Czech. Quality/strenght of potions will be determined of how precise was your crafting and/or by adding more ingredients. More mistakes/timing you made, less quality potion will be, from first-class potion to fail. I expect similar outcome of blacksmithing, and with some supportive perks. Basicaly you will have to learn same way as Henry, so no chance of creating strong potion based on probability.

Gear sets were brought up during development of the first KCD, but there was no time to work on such non ciritcal issue by the time we realised it would be more convenient, good they're finally bringing it into the second game.

They need to implement a way to track down NPCs, so you dont need to look for them every corner when you want to start training or quests.

A thing to note about the gameplay section where the Volgue polearm is picked up, Spoilers btw if you don't want them, That's not Henry you play as in the section, it's Father Godwin. I'm still confident polearms are storeable in the inventory but just something to note.

Regarding potions, I believe Tobi has mentioned that the different versions affect the doses within them so the effect per drink is always the same.

@@ThatOtherGamer What was mentioned was savior schnapps. Strong can be used to save multiple times, while a weak one will be consumed in a single use. They never really give us much detail. Have to wait and see.

I only care about an ability to fight multiple enemies without running backwards like an idiot. It made me drop the first game. If the problem remains - I won't play this game.

The way I solved it is never finishing the training for perfect block counter, it makes the game more challenging and fun

It doesn't matters what Warhorse studios does as long as the combat is shit, KCD1 had a slow sluggish and unresponsive combat that felt more like "Sword Sports" being taught by enthusiasts who were never really back then fighting, not letting the player be creative, forcing the player to play shitty chess, the main reason why the first game lost so much potential player base but from what I've seen of KCD2 there is now more freedom and approaches rather than dancing around in circles, actual shiled bashing and faster swings/combos... Hopefully armour means something now and damage is separate from stamina.

Armor is obviously going to do something, it does that in the first game, there was just a lot of counters to it (St. George’s Sword and maces for example) I don’t see why stam and damage should be separated, though

mod your game when it comes to combat. You can make masterstrikes be very rare for strong opponents and just not happen for non-skilled opponents, but your own window is also very short where you basically need to rely on reading your enemy instead of just reacting. Also mods to remove slow motion etc. Now you get rewarded for being aggressive, and dancing around just risks you getting combo'd / overwhelmed if there is multiple people. Personally I did this from the very start and I love the combat, it's not staring at all, it's more of stamina management, spacing, and getting your combos down. Combat was always enjoyable to me, I really recommend!
