Always love to see Henry's power of putting on the clothes of people he talks to mid-transition. Appreciate the effort of double-takes to splice up scenes like that.
I am glad you all like that, and honestly its one of those things that make me chuckle a little whenever I see it all put together and it works smoothly. I really want to believe Henry is a pickpocket genius that terrifies the local population in doing what he says, otherwise all their stuff goes missing. :P
@@helicalgooseabsolutely! You're my newest favorite youtuber just because of how much fun and passion comes through in your videos. Things that I KNOW took probably hours of gameplay to pull off for a visual gag in a video that you don't even acknowledge...that's how I know you're having fun and by extension so do we!
Hey its good to see you back again! *starts pouring out a drink* And I was just thinking if that happened to me in real life, I would immediately stop arguing with that person and listen to them.
Got to keep Bernard and Robard in good shape! And them being able to run in full armor across the entire map swinging a sword the whole way, I can say they're in really good shape!
Nightinggale saying "See this square here" is definitely referring to the guards who coagulate into a square. This is just something they do regularly. Looks much better during the markets.
Hahah, I wish I thought of that! Yah my god that square of guards is not to be messed with! Its super thick as you seen at the end with Henry punching in there and I can hear tons of hit icons but the main bulk is not moving, meaning oooooh god!
Haha, I really need to get the Hanush voice actor to say those sort of lines "The butcher of Skaltiz" or something along those lines, would be great to put into the game :D
really hoping there are game breaking glitches that are HARD to find in the second game. Cuz your last video with the whole... returning to skalitz while the cumans attack was literally the coolest thing ever.
100% agreed! I do hope that Warhorse does not go too crazy with all the fixes, because some of the best moments with the game have been messing with it :D The main game is fine and all, but it shines when Henry is allowed to wiggle a bit. Well to me at least.
That edit at 6:55 was wonderful! You standing there in his outfit caught me so off guard that I almost choked on my tea laughing and had work hard to avoid bursting it out all over my keyboard. Your style of editing is fantastic and hilarious at times and I always sit down with a cup of tea to enjoy your videos with. Not going to change that, but I have to be more guarded as to when I take a sip in future. Your use of sound effects and music are always so poignantly placed! Please, keep on doing this series, I never get tired of your KCD videos. Also, if you see this, how did you break out of the death loop from the last video where Sir Radzig lost his trust in you in order to continue the killing spree?
Haha, I am glad you enjoyed that too! Honestly, the one thing I hope KCD2 has in the next game is the ability to steal their clothes and pull off stunts like this too. Its soooo much fun. Thanks again for the comments, I am glad that you're enjoying the series. And the death loop I had to go back to an older save to get out of it :P I was trying to be cute with the starting tutorial missions, but the game doesn't play ball during that time, so Henry had to pause the murder for little.
@@helicalgoose Yes, I hope so too. From what we've seen I think the reputation system in KCD2 will be more punishing and hopefully at the same time more rewarding. Both facets, if true, I think will make the game itself more fun and rewarding. For instance if one is able to rob a town cleanly without being seen by anyone, without even having stepped into said town being seen, then they will not suspect you as they have no clue you exist, yet. On the other hand if you enter said town, play some dice / stay the night and then rob everyone, still undetected, then I hope the reputation system is so dynamic / well constructed that they will suspect this newcomer. Then if you're seen doing any criminal act they might punish you harder / quicker. I hope they've done it somewhat like I've detailed and vice versa. That would make every town 'heist' much more rewarding if managed correctly. Also, I hope there is some semblance of organized criminal underworld in Kuttenberg in which we can ingratiate us with or deal with it. Just in general I want as many avenues of gameplay as possible, As I too thoroughly enjoy finding as many ways as possible to do quests in conjunction with each other!
@@CeIIador Completely agree. There is sooo much that can be done with the current system to improve upon it. And from the interviews given, it seems that the devs focused on building off the old game as much as possible and spent the last five years or so fixing the small issues and adding new layers onto the game, instead of making huge leap in graphics (which I think KCD looks fine already) But either way, I try to be a little more skeptical about the crime system they mentioned and not get too overly excited. It seems you will be marked and people will make comments about you, but the mark doesn't seem permanent since they mentioned that it will "heal" over time. So my guess of instead of throwing you in jail for 10 days, they mark you for 10 days maybe? Seems more punishing since you got to go out there and live with the downside instead of waiting 20 seconds for a timer to spin. I am deeply curious to what is going to happen, but I might make a video talking about these points in the near future, once I stop being lazy :P
6:56 The fact he had time to steal all the clothes off the guy's back while in mid conversation and switch his armor out with the outfit. It had me laughing so hard that I am tearing up in my eyes and gasping for breath laughing. I had to pause just to catch my breath and finish coughing.
That jail marker next to the compass is gonna burn in to your monitor at this rate lol. Unfortunately it’s my 8th day with Covid and I’m still sick but at least I have more Henry to binge while I lay in bed, thank you helical!
Haha, I am actually surprised when guards are not chasing Henry. I was working on something a little different than Killer Henry and was walking around town like a free man, I didn't understood what was going on for awhile, so much peace.
God I’ll never get tired of these videos, your wonderful editing skills combined with this game’s shenanigans just save every single one of my bad days. I really hope you’ll keep this up in KCD2. Jesus Christ be praised
nothing better then eating some good food and watching this serires, man i thank you for the entertainment lmao i also love how in the legit cutscene from the devs Henry is wearing slightly diffenet clothes while those around are wearing less clothes
The clothes stealing/and just the all the antics that you're able to do with this game just makes it great! Its too bad you can't get the immortal clothes off, where that would generate some really good cutscenes too! But thanks for telling me about the videos, it makes all the work worth it to know others are enjoying :D
@@helicalgoose its just so funny that it seems like in every scene that Henry is wearing different clothes. Like the 1 when Henry has to drive way Jane and the local sword smith was wearing clothes then he wasnt and Henry looked alot like the sword smith lmao either way, i appreicate the hard work you put into making these videos. I cant imagine the time vested time for both gaming + editing, and having it turn out the way you inteneded nothing makes the dinner better then "WAAaaa Hello everbody!" then the chaos ensues on poor - medieval Kingdom of Bohemia
I love watching these videos. Thanks to you I will never forget about kutenberg, haven't got a single clue what happened there, but I will never forget it.
6:08 did you put that in there just for me lmao. Cant wait for KCD2. I had money on the name being KC retribution. I cant wait to watch your play throughs of it.
the way you cut random shit together to make funny dialouges is amazing wizzardry of epic proportions fuck hollywood give all the awards to you m8 cheers from Aussieland
Helical's scene by scene breakdown of the launch trailer: "I'm gonna break that... I'm gonna break that... Yep, that'll get broken... And that, and this thing I'll break so hard. All in all 10/10 launch can't wait to destroy it all!"
Ah, yes there will be a KCD2 video reaction/update sort of deal. I really wanted to get out another episode of Killer Henry first before doing that. Also, I have been putting a list together of things that might be interesting from the forums and other videos, picking up pieces for KCD2 ect. But, working on that video today and maybe by end of next week have it out :D
Haha, I am actually a bit excited but still nervous to what I will be allowed to do and not. It seems the Warhorse devs (from initial viewing) are keeping the same graphics/similar system so perhaps a lot of the older tricks and maybe some new ones will work out :D I think you're peering into my mind, but I was thinking about "testing" some of the systems in my head and what can be done with all the new city, locations shown and weapons. Its going to be interesting and I can't wait for this :D
Henry's pleasure! Though the current Rattay security force is a bit overwhelming my PC at the moment and are actually getting in the way of just trying to buy normal things, so Henry might have to start getting revenge at other locations ;)
Actually that surprised me as well. I didn't remember this line until I was going through dialogue trees and this popped out! I want to say in the entire game, there are maybe less than 10 instances where you get full on cursing and this being one of them. (This is not including the Cumans since I don't under what they're saying unless I look it up)
Hey its good to see you back again! *starts pouring out a drink* I really do wish the immortal NPCs stayed in their location up there. I could repopulate Skaltiz with all the nobility of Bohemia as a fancy sort of village :P
@@monkyk1ng Haha, I mean technically, I could repopulate the Skalitz town with all the Rovna people that spawn when you sequence break the cuman chase to Talmberg. However, they all get killed when the encounter spawns in, soooo its not ideal, but it would be great with all the immortals there since we wouldn't have to worry about them other than getting bruised :P
did you know trailer for kingdom come deliverance 2 is out at last and did you know the first KCD had 15 - 20 people working on it but for KCD 2 the dev team is more than a 100 people so the game will be much bigger with guns and gunpowder and hopefully a longer campaign/main storyline and better graphics for sure
Haha, yah I do plan to make a reaction video about KCD2 sometime soonish. I want it to have a little more research to it for everyone or at least be somewhat informative for KCD2. Otherwise me gushing over all the details might not be that well worth to everyone or I don't think so at least :P
Henry has to use all his past learned skills to deal with the unruly peasantry of Rattay. Apparently he just can't kill his problems away in this setup :P
I have an idea for a challenge. I bet others thought of it as well, but I haven't seen it before. You are only allowed to consume food straight from a pot. I don't know if it's possible at all, but it'd be fun to try. Problems: tapeworm perk, potions, quests that involve drinking. Saving would be an issue, you could only save in a bed. And I don't know how often could you eat from the same pot, and how many pots there are in the world. with how little a pot gives in hardcore it might even be impossible in the early game.
Well, the food from pot challenge, would be actually quite the challenge, and on Hardcore mode with tapeworm...oh god that would be hard(er). Because Hardcore pots only give 5 food per a pot, where standard gives 25. You are not allowed most potions. I want to say Savior Schnapps gives no nourishment at all, but I would have to double check. The one thing that would be a saving grace would be bath houses which their saves usually fills Henry's nourishment to full. But...I am guessing that would be nixxed in the challenge part. This, would actually be tough, I want to say in Rattay there are only 10-15 pots which means that gets you to 50ish food per a day, and with tapeworm you do not get that much time. You would be living pot to pot lol But that is a good idea. Even in late game it would be a small challenge to keep Henry filled up.
Ah getting a horse is not a problem, I just steal one then work up enough money to buy my own horse. No need to trouble Pebbles! But, the daily pots running in and out of houses would be funny, but it would have to be a speed run because that would get old fast trying to keep Henry fed!
Haha glad that the wait wasn't too long and that you enjoyed it! If you're looking for something to watch while waiting for the next one, the Hardcore Henry series is completed and only 50+ episodes, that might tide you over for a bit if you haven't seen it already lol
Helical I'm sorry but you have to restart this series from the beginning... I just discovered that you can kill Mattew, Fritx and Matthias in the prologue in Skalitz, and that you can also steal Master Vanyek's money and sword in the prologue in Skalitz . To do this you must complete the mission of throwing poop at Tudesco's house, then when the 3 friends are behind Kunesh's house you have to go get a guard stealing something in front of him so that he can follow you and hit you with his sword , the guard next to Kunesh's house is the best for this, you have to take him in combat towards your friends and when they are there you have to make the guard hit your friends while he tries to hit you, after 2 or 3 blows your friends will end up dying one by one, when they die surrender to the guard and pay him or persuade him to leave and you can loot your dead friends, they have an ax, their clothes, food, money, keys and Fritx will have 6 lockpicks, more the other 4 that he gives you so you will have 10 lockpicks in the prologue in Skalitz to steal with more confidence. To steal the money and the sword from master Vanyek you must complete the training with him and when he goes to the tavern you have to take a guard in the same way as with the 3 friends, stealing something in front of him and take him in combat towards Vanyek , when they are there you must make the guard hit Vanyek while he tries to hit you, you must make the guard hit Vanyek many times until he looks quite hurt, when he is ready surrender to the guard and pay him or persuade him to he leaves, let the guard go away and then there you must shoot an arrow very close to Vanyek while he is sitting drinking, the arrow must stay stuck in the table very close to him, then he will get angry because of that and will want to attack you but Being so wounded, he will surrender at your feet immediately and drop his sword (Don't pick it up yet!) You must first talk to him and tell him to pay you to let him go, when he pays you, that's where you have to pick up the sword quickly or Otherwise he will pick it up before you. His sword is the "Perforator" it is a long sword that does 66 thrust damage and is perfect for the early game. And that's it, congratulations
Well, first off I want to say this is amazing work! Absolutely amazing! You are a genuine scholar with this amount of research here. I need to start up a website to put down "research" and have you as a senior scientist for this! But the good part is that, all these other people can still die in the game, so I do not have to go back thankfully ;) Buuuuutt...this would be an amazing way to kill them off that I do not know many people would even with think about doing.
Can you do a playthrough where you finish kcd with least possible quest line? So for example if you have Hans capon dlc, you need to finish it first, then you can go to epilogue right? But you can kill the butcher (or daughter, I cannot 100% recall) to skip that. And I want to know what other quest are skipable. So the playthrough is almost like Speedrun but for quest. Thank you for the content over the year, gonna be waiting for kcd from you Mr goose.
Yes, that might be a good one-off video. I have it on a post-it-note and have been thinking about it. This one would be tricky because there are a bunch of mini-quests out there tied in with the main story line that technically you do not have to do and avoiding them is key for least amount of quest. The video wouldn't be hard to make, but more of the playtime would take about 20-40 hours which is the only thing holding me back currently. But I know a way and you would have to play a few tricks here and there to skip over some things :D
I remember someone mentioned that Henry is just the arm of god, punishing the 1403 Bohemian population for their sins and sparing the innocent. However, Henry is yet to find an innocent ;)
No no, I believe that Mutt is still in the game according to one of the trailers and interviews. I think they said they said there are cats too. No idea anything beyond that lol :D
When I did a kill everything run I killed Fritz before ending a quest for him. The quest didn't fail but the marker just stayed where he died. No waiting or jail time fixed this. 😃
I am glad you brought that up! Honestly those two Matt and Fritz are strange NPCs since from what I can tell they do not respawn. There are only a few NPCs like this in the game, maybe four-five in total (if we leave random encounters out)
Yup, glad to get it out! I didn't want to make anyone wait any longer. With the announcement of KCD2 it sort of threw off my rhythm and messed with my playing mojo. I am sort of distracted thinking about that game later on even though none of us can play for it for a long time I am still distracted :P
Greetings Helical! Would you be interested in doing a sort of a geoguessr but in KCD video? I could take some screenshots in game and give you the answer for each one as a pin on the map. I think it would be fun since you kinda have to know the map pretty well while playing HC and the viewers could try to guess along with the video!
You know I thought about doing this sometime, but maybe on a twitch/youtube live feed. I just need to figure out how to make that happen. The only thing I could do similar would be in hardcore mode and do the "blackout" effect and randomly teleport around the map, but I find you get teleported quite a bit to same place. However, I am glad you mention about the geoguesser KCD, because it is a good idea, and I just needed someone else to say it too lol I have it on my post-it-note pile of ideas to get out before KCD2 comes out!
@@helicalgoose Yeah, unfortunately the blackout spots are quite limited for it to work. KCD geoguessr is very fun though, did it once on discord with someone. It can get really hard if you hide the compass too!
@@zippiqwq255 Oh 100% What I might have to do instead is maybe have pre-recorded sessions where I do a slow 360 turn in a location and give people 10 seconds (or just pause the video) to guess where it should be at. I do not know how to implement the scoring system like geoguesser does without going archaic technical of a ruler on the screen :P
@@helicalgoose If you google "kcd map", there is a site where you can add markers to specific coordinates. The viewers could make their guesses there and compare it with the answer. Maybe the scoring would be done like this: guessed X+Y and answer X+Y is compared and smaller number is substracted from the bigger number. Then the closer you would be to zero the better. For example: Answer (15, 55) Guess (25, 70) Answer = 15+55 = 70 Guess = 25+70 = 95 Score = 95-75 = 20 Best score would be 0
I just beat this game after years of having it and playing. Lil disappointed in the Vanilla ending. Not enough fights, not enough enemies, too much cutscenes(though they were good) in between fighting areas. Still very fun 😊
Ah, Hardcore mode another time. With the fear of KCD2 coming around the corner, I just wanted to get through things asap lol But here, have a drink as compensation ;) *starts pouring out a drink*
Ah I do plan to use the "all killable mod" towards the end of the game. I want to avoid killing some of the characters because they're important for spawning other characters with their quests, sooo can't kill everyone quite yet, but when we get to the end of the game...:P
I won't lie, this game had me for a little while doing the little head-bob the NPCs do during cutscenes and saying Jesus Christ be praised in real life. After that, I had to take a couple weeks off from playing/editing.
