I like how the noble knight speaks before the fight and then in mid-fight: "JEBAT! FUCKER!" xD

The sequence from 2:20 is just poetry in motion. And people say that it’s broken!

Combat gets pretty easy after getting used to it. But fighting several opponents is pretty challenging.

You can feel the honor in this fight.

I swear I must be the only person that used an axe when playing KCD. When it doubt smash'em in the head with an axe, none of this fancy sword malarkey.

This would be great for multiplayer duels the mechanics are some what similar to a fighting game

The end of the fight is usually the part where I slide around behind him and stab him in the throat to take all of his stuff, after winning his chest piece in a wager in the first place. My Henry is not a good person

They made an incredibly comfy game with extremely immersive surroundings and a great combat system. The only thing I feel wasn't addressed properly is how to use this system when fighting multiple opponents, which is a shame and annoys me to no end.

Seriously, one of the things that got me into KCD was that almost every fight takes 10 minutes or more to end, its so good to see a game where you dont insta kill the enemy with a single touch even in a higher level

Man the combat looks so sick in this game.

This video shows a skilled player who can use combos and does not just rely on master strikes. There were no mistakes in the technique at all. I feel that some (few) attack opportunities were missed, but I'm a worse player so I'm probably wrong - and the player was going for perfect defense instead of efficiency anyway.

Half expected you to chop off one of his limbs and he goes full Monty python, "Tis but a flesh wound. HAVE AT THEEEE!!!"

its not a perfect duel unless u use a longsword. thats the true knight way

So all respect to that knight for fighting bravely against such a badass and not bitching about losing and such. But honestly his plan is somewhat less than brilliant; he stands around somewhere in the wilderness waiting for someone to pass by and ask him for a fight. I mean he could probably spend weeks there until finally someone comes who is able and willing to fight him. And if so, he has the chance of losing the fight. Not smart

Thanks for the upload; good to know that the short sword can hold its own , without a shield, against a longsword...in my first playline, Henry is a juggernaut using a longsword. My second playline is with him being stealthy and lightly armored, using short swords. I'm not accustomed to the short sword, and I'm getting my hams spanked by lowly bandits. But again, I'm early in my playthrough.

seems like he's not even trying to block your attacks while almost all of my enemies are blocking 90% of my attacks

I met this guy and did one perfectly timed counter at the very first attack he made at me, which instantly killed him. He went down like a sack of potatoes and I never got more duels with him. While I did feel like the ultimate swordfighting boss of the universe, it was kind of a shame that I didn't get any more duels :P. Still not sure if it was a bug. I didn't think I could do so much damage that he died instead of just yielded.

Whenever I fight knights they parry my first attack and beat the piss out of me then when I parry they beat the shit out of me anyway.

The stab when having sword and the Mace(Esp Bailiffs Mace) is truly the best in this game. Mace is of course the most effective agains heavy armor. When reaching high lvls in strength, vitality and main then you can oneshot a plate armored foe :D (with master strike that is*)

Mace, Clinch, headhit, perk activated, unconscious, murder, take all stuff. And that is how you do it.

Damn ! that is the most realistic combat system that i've ever seen in a game

Honestly the best way to fight in this game is using the bow. I fought that Knight that's in red armor from the main story for 45 minutes we walked at least a kilometer out of town I finally won, Cumans killed me 12 seconds later as I had no more health pots and was essentially on the verge of dying anyways. Frustrated, I looked on the forums for answers someone simply said "just use bow, aim at head" I did just that and he actually went down in 2 headshots. It was both a relief and frustrating that's something that can simply be done. If I play this game again, and I don't know that I will, I don't think I'd use any melee weapons really. The bow is just too superb.

Id like this game more if perfect blocks made openings for me. Other then that 2:20 is why I play the game

Man it would be rad to have similar combat in Bannerlord. But it's understandable. Imagine having to deal with all those parries and sidesteps while dealing with hundreds of enemies? Still, it would have been cool to have a "duel" mechanic that added more options like these. If modding support is enhanced to the point of resembling Skyrim's, maybe we could get something like that.
