Fun fact; Marluxia's hair color and the color of his scythe's blade is meant to be reminiscent of the cherry blossom, or sakura as it's called in Japan. The petals of the cherry blossom are often associated with the end and death. So in essence; Marluxia's power is basically the power of death.

KH2-Sora really seems to have a thing for stealing his enemy's weapons...

a little trivia about the number on sora's head: that death/sentence/banish, a particular spell that appeared on much square enix games (it appears on every ff), normally it would be a death countdown, but here it's used in an itneresting way That number is the actual sora's level and every hit is a point down (and resets with an action counterattack) I never see someone lose by this effect

Marluxia powers are more sinister than chain of memories..

If you want to do this fight on critical mode in the least painful way possible, I suggest trying to stop marluxia from spawning the big flower areas. There is a short moment to hit him before he does spawn these areas. The best way I was able to do this was by using firaga in the middle of the arena after he teleports. Hope this helps!

this was actually fun to watch because Marluxia actually got the chance to strike back and take the counter down, different to a lot other videos of this boss fight c:

1:14 I just realized that Sora hits Marluxia with his own scythe, the flower effects don't appear like when Marluxia hits Sora. Instead it looks like bursts of light. Probably because its not compatible for Sora which is the reason why he "gave" the weapon back to Marluxia (by throwing it at him at full force of course)

This boss fight was a pain in the ass.

I think this Boss battle was harder than Xemnas but easier than Seferoth.

KINGDOM HEARTS IS THE BEST!

I like how this boss has two reactions command and which you get is tied to how many times you guard. If you guard once you get to do damage. You probably only guarded once because you weren't worried about health or count and/or know the boss inside and out and want to end it quickly. If you guard twice, you get the "restore count" reaction command. You were probably low on count or just a very cautious player. Having more count never hurts right?

You know what would make Marluxia more of a death lord? Poison in his thorns, or maybe even draining HP to heal himself. But thankfully, since Poison hasn't been taken yet, I can use it for an OC Org member.

I like how the RCs are loosely based on the intro of this game. Just that Sora is more mobile, so he gets clean hits in in close combat and steals the scythe instead of throwing the keyblade.
