l like how he firmly looks at Ventus after he reaffirms "What l am, is darkness." saying "l've made my choice, l'm not being redeemed, this is who l am"
Honestly, much as people joke about the line where Ven says "Okay.", it makes sense to me. Ven's argument here is that everyone SHOULD be free to choose their own fate. Vanitus' response was to say "Okay, but in that case, I'm choosing Darkness. It's what I want. Will you be true to your conviction I should be allowed to choose my fate...or not?" Ven is being consistent here. You cannot say that you believe a person is free to choose good or evil, then, if they CHOOSE evil, if they WANT to be evil, saying "But you can't choose THAT!!" Ven's arguing that you should be allowed to choose. That's his point in saying that they shouldn't be forced to be pure light or pure darkness or anything like that. Van is saying he DID choose. And Ven is saying, essentially, "Very well. I respect your decision, even if I wish you would make a different one." Ven obviously isn't HAPPY with Van's choice, but he respects it, since Ven is being true/honest to his convictions here that we are all free and should/must be allowed to choose our own fate.
Vanitas : We three are brothers, Roxas: Hi Vanitas: .....*four* brother Vanitas with his witty remarks about brothers will have existential crisis if he met Roxas now.
I'm just remembering when Axel went "TWO?!" in his battle vs Roxas and now Im just here like Vanitas: Ventus, you are my other hal- Roxas: *appears next to Ventus* Vanitas: TWO?!
Vanitas: *shows face * Sora: *TRIGGERED * Vanitas: *talks * Sora: *TRIGGERED * Ventus: *steps in * Vanitas: *talks * Ventus: ...Ok. It's both emotional, and hilarious at the same time.

@@rasendori20 When you are shaken so roughly, your brain takes a lot of damage. Thus resulting in loss of consciousness. Their body were not hurt, but it was very dangerous for their life... nonetheless.
@@lyra9223 Not with directions changing that sharply they don't. It's not just speed that kills you it's sharpness of change. Compare that to literally snapping them back and forth in completely opposite directions without a stable brace like rollercoasters have.
I think they focused too much on Sora in this game. He's the big hero so everybody needs to be saved by him. Aqua and Ven are very strong Keyblade wielders who already fought against Vanitas and (in Aquas case) Terranort. They should at least be able to stand on their own and not be overpowered by these two.
@@redgle862 And that kinda sucks. I mean: there are _seven_ guardians of light. Not "Sora and his little helpers". All of them should have a chance to shine because all of them are very strong keyblade weilders just as Sora. But hey, he smiles a lot and is super friendly so he should be our only hero.
Ven was always weaker than Vanitas, he tied in bbs because of the power of friendship. Aqua was tired, sora literally points this out twice in the same game.
Audio Sonic Facts. They should have just let us play as ventus and aqua and free terra. Same as kairi and axel. We should have played as them, get their asses kicked, play as roxas as lead, axel and xion as the party and fight saix.
mainline titles are sora's games, so this game focuses exclusively on sora undoing all the bad shit that happened in the spinoffs, as it's basically his show.
And he was waiting for the exact moment to take back his body? Man, Terra just became one of the biggest badasses in the KH universe, able to have the patience for such a promise.
KYNGA100 I don’t think he was aware until recently or had very limited control Lingering will and/or the imminent death of his comrades is what allowed him to be that aware and in control
@@DigimonVids there was some foreshadowing that the reveal was going to happen in DDD in the Ansem SoD fight as Riku. There's a moment when Riku locks eyes with the shadow, and there was some understanding that the shadow was something else other than just a projection of darkness.
I kind of disagree. He's the hero of the game but in a different way than what we might come to expect. He's kind of the righter of wrongs, taking the sad endings of Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days and giving those groups a happier one. That's kind of why I love him as the main character in this game. Sure Roxas and Aqua might be more badass but Sora is the one who's gonna do everything he can to make sure his friends (and even enemies) make it out okay.
@@brendondellinger355 hero and main character are 2 different things. He is a Hero....but he has not in the middle. And originally it was a joke, but to think of it...
Yeah it's kinda weird. Aqua was shown to be the best fighter out of the BbS trio, beating Terranort single-handedly. All of a sudden she can't keep up with him? Hell, Anti-Aqua should've been more than a match for Sora, Riku, and Mickey if she got a boost from being in the Realm of Darkness like Heartless do. And although I love love love Kairi, she had no business here. Training or not, she's too inexperienced and wasn't trained by someone who could actually use a Keyblade. Sora saved the worlds twice over, Riku is every bit his equal, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were trained by an actual Keyblade Master, Axel was a trusted assassin within Org. 13, Roxas is easily one of the strongest original Org. 13 members, Xion had plenty of battles before being assimilated into Roxas, and King Mickey is self explanatory. Kairi was a liability in battle. Maybe they should've tried to extract the 3rd heart from Sora and use them instead and let Kairi continue her training while the war happened (KH showed us that Kairi can accept when she would be in the way). Vexen was done with the vessels by then.
I think that Aqua was really exhausted after spending so much time in realm of darkness. Thus she couldn’t keep up normally with Vanitas fight in Land of Departure and Terra-nort.....
The power differences in this game is hugely confusing. Terra once fought Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the same time for a brief moment, proving he is pretty powerful... several moments before, Xehanort and Vanitas were pounding all three of them. Sora had fought and beaten every enemy single-handedly by the end of KH2, yet throighout DDD and KH3 he keeps losing on and off at random moments... but then he also beats them all in the end.
This part of the game really got those tears running down on me to finally see Terra break free of the darkness that has been imprisoning him for more than ten years with his mind trapped in Lingering Will.
No as revealed in DLC the armor was destroyed and apparently the soul of Terra that made it alive went back into Terranort, which later resisted and took control of Guardian away from Terranort
I personally think this part was so amazing! The way they revealed that terra was the guardian was so cool and I was so happy! I love the way he ripped the bandages off and how he didn’t even let Terranort keep talking 9:23. 😂 Terra was not one of my favorite characters but after this I really appreciate him and I’m so glad he’s back.
You know I was surprised at first that Terra-xehanort was not our final boss since xehanort went through the the trouble of making him his new vessel. But now it makes sense if he had his hands full keeping terra at bay.
Xehanort actually used terra's body because he was a strong keyblade wielder. He also beat xehanort and vanitas on his own and beat his body and xehanort both using his armour! If you look at it, terra is one of the most strongest and powerful keyblade wielders. Who agrees? And also, he beat his master!
that 11:11 part for ven woke up and he glad terra is back and the next part the tears fell down on terra' s eyes (that really first time) and with heartfelt.
Watching this again because its epic... and for some reason I now have the overwhelming urge to brush my teeth after looking at Terra-guardian. I don't want my gums to turn that purple or somewhat goldenish shiny tooth
@@lbentosoares4 it didnt get divide i think. The keyblade meant to be force when the same balance of light and darkness fight together . This was just a better way to create it
I like to think during the whole Vanitas cutscene Terra is just beat aqua with the Keyblade while she's in fetal position yelling "why are you 2 just standing there help me!"
My only problem here is that the quote is supposed to sound intimidating, but he didn't do any form of physical damage against any of them to back it up. Like he couldn't just slam them against the ground or walls a bunch of times? Was that too violent by Disney standards? It makes Terranort look stupid.
I like how everybody likes to say that Aqua and Kairi were shitted on in this game. Kairi is and never will be an actual fighter. Kairi 's character isn't the fighter type character and is/was never meant to be. Aqua was obviously very exhausted from the 13 years in the realm of darkness and the fight against vanitas. You gotta give it a break lmao.
I really wish re:Mind let us play as Terra's heartless, the Guardian/Shadow, against Terranort, because THAT would've been some of the most badass gameplay in all of Kingdom Hearts. It would be like when we played as Sora's heartless in Hollow Bastion of the first game, but BIGGER.
Roxas, Ventus, did you see how Sora reacted to Vanitas? That's what y'all shoulda done. I'll just say by this time they were shockproof. I mean stalker Axel and Namine. Xion's death. Terra's fall. Aqua's disappearance. Finding out they both were half of another. That's enough to shock anybody.
Knowing Sora, it's obvious his first thought would be going to the rescue of Kairi (the girl he loves), but I believe it's wrong to go help her and Axel first. Sora knows Kairi will be in good hands with Axel, and in the meantime, helping Aqua and Ven could make him discover a way to save Terra and add another Guardian of Light to their ranks. In this battle, the correct way to proceed is dealing first with Vanitas, and then with Terranort. I have see some videos that prove it. If you defeat Terranort first, you left him knocked out, but then you jump instantly to deal with Vanitas. After the scene with Vanitas, you skip to Terranort's scene. So it's obvious: first Vanitas, then Terranort. I have to say, I never expected Terra's heart being inside the Dark Guardian. But when you think deeply about it, it actually made part of sense. Very simbolic the scene where it breaks the bandages of his mouth.
@devonte jefferson Actually, I belive it's much better help Mickey first, then Riku. Mickey is facing 4 against 1 (Xenmas, Luxord, Larxene and Marluxia), while Riku is facing 3 against 1 (Ansem, Dark Riku and Xigbar). Better help first the one who is at the biggest disadvantage.
Yeah. That still doesn't make sense as Vanitas explains how they both look! Ventus was split way before he took on Sora's heart? Can somebody please explain?
When Ventus's hearts was divide into two being. Ventus and Vanitas. Ven's heart was really hurts basically Ventus was dying. And the other part of Ven's heart became Vanitas. At this moment Vanitas don't have a face at all. Master Xehanort take Ventus in the Destiny Islands. And in this very moment. A heart was born. And this heart resonate with Ventus and give to Ventus a fragment of his light. With that Ven can nowsurvive. This heart was baby Sora. And this new connection affect Vanitas to ! Because now Vanitas has Sora's face.
"But I did decide what I am." "What you are is Darkness?!" "What I am... is Darkness." I'm actually so glad that at least one character is just like "Nah. I'm evil. No redemption scene for me. It's who I am."
I think that I going to miss Vanitas he is the best villain in kingdom hearts birth by sleep I really going to miss him so much it doesn’t matter is between light and Darkness they have to decide
