Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind Review: Time for this Series to Almost Entirely Abandon the Disney IP. 

Tbh since we could never EVER actually fully expect them to drop Disney in any significant way, I’d just settle for a trip to an original world between every Disney world, a constant trade off an mood swap for the most part, though maybe it will kill the mood and ruin the tone half the time, but don’t they already kinda do that? I mean like the game opens up so strong imo with Olympus and Twilight Town (100% felt like there shoulda had a second visit, opening up the world, it was just there for show...) setting stakes to some degree but more so setting the feeling that the game was about to have but then from like, Corona onward it just felt like I stepped into a different game that was constantly detracting itself away from anything I’m meant to care about while not adding or doing that much between or even during said worlds, it’s always been insane to me how utterly useless frozen is and I’m glad it’s gotten nothing but backlash tbh.

I couldn't agree more with your take on Disney's place in KH and how it needs to be dropped fast. More reasons: Disney's brand safety will hold this series back for sure. I love the characters but there has not been enough compelling character development. In fact, it seems like they've been dumbed down over the years. Disney also stifles the ability to pace the game and tell a concise story. The best part of visiting a Disney world is exploration of said Disney world. Past that there's not much substance that comes from these worlds causing them to have to back load all the interesting bits of the game. Sure, they can integrate the greater story into the games but it's not even done well. It's usually just an organization member causing trouble in the world. Not to mention all the baby-talk dialogue. I'm not saying square has the greatest writing in the world, but KH gets the short end of the stick in this department. Hearing characters talk is awkward at best, and ridiculous at worst. There are cool moments, but they don't carry the majority of the bad dialogue. There are so many issues that stem directly from Disney and having to appeal both to Disney and the audience it attracts. So what do I want? Get rid of all the Disney worlds that don't contribute to the main story. That includes the characters that don't contribute to the main story. So keep Donald, Goofy, Micky, etc. you get the idea. The less extra Disney the better. Now I know this will never happen. But a man can dream. I don't necessarily think this would fix all my main issues with Disney being in the game but it fixes a few of them. What's actually possible? Since Sora is no longer in the same world as the rest of the characters we know, we may be in a world where there are many more FF worlds. It would be sick if instead of the Disney worlds we visited FF worlds. Or hell even original worlds. I think it's possible now to have Disney worlds be in the minority of worlds we visit. Which is a step in the right direction. Honestly, at this point it's a shame how much I love the mainstay Disney characters like Micky, Donald, and Goofy. I'm much more critical of the series than the average KH fan and if I'm not comfortable leaving them behind you know the fanbase sure as hell would riot. I say this because I do think the game would be better without any Disney at all. We just have to accept whatever we get at this point though. I'll play the series to the end no matter what. KH is KH, and it's unlikely that they will change the formula greatly.

Yea I agree with you about leaving a majority of Disney behind. Yea they were cool to play in... well maybe not Frozen, but they added nothing to the overall plot. Maleficent was virtually absent this whole game

Ummm....the Disney IP is pretty much the selling point and there is still a whole lot of potential there. It's just almost never fully utilized.
