[Spoilers] Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMIND DLC Review - Is it ''TOO HARD''? Is it Worth The Price? 

Yeah honestly I’ve been a huge KH fan for a long time, but was super disappointed with KH3. This DLC seems like a lot of stuff that should have just been in the base game. Haven’t bought it yet, am on the fence because of the price. I mean we all know we will get a final mix version at some point with even more cutscenes probably. I’m used the KH nickel and diming , but I’m kind of sick of it. Paying for the price if half the base game for a lot of reused content seems iffy even if it’s stuff I really wanted like playing other characters, Kairi not being useless in a fight, the final fantasy characters, team limits(sounds like they only added a couple when they should have added one per guardian fight IMO)

I like how no one realizes what the dark aqua battle in remind actually means. In remind Dark Aqua is actually representing Aqua’s fear of falling into darkness again. Since being saved from the abyss beyond the dark realm Aqua was afraid of failing and falling back into the darkness. It explains why she was brought down so easily. That fear had lodged itself deep within her heart. In remind you are actually fighting her fear. And helping her heal from that traumatic experience. This is what allows her to step back into the Realm of Darkness with Terra and Ven.

I don’t get how people think that a world or map that is populated with “people” makes the world good and not empty...I’m more concerned with things to do in each world. I personally would’ve really appreciated some side quests or something in each world. Even if it was something dumb like kill five high level Shadows or something (fetch quest).

The only thing that disappoint me about this DLC was I couldn't explore hollow bastion and that stage with yozora

ReMind was great,yeah the rehashed senarios maybe we could've done without but at least for some of them they added some things that were very much needed/wanted. Ie Kairi going ham on Xemnas,that was just awesome.

Personally I think it was way overpriced $45 AUD over half the price of a full game here ($79) for 2hrs~ of new story, and then just the org / secret fights which were good... but not $45 good

I understand that this or that should have been in the base game but imo I would rather have this DLC then to not have it at all. To me, we should still appreciate all the hard work that went into making it possible because surely this was a lot of work to do.

People really need to Play Witcher 3 dlcs......once you play them even IF you dont like witcher 3 combat (which i dont) The massive amount of content u get for less than 30$ was No Joke. KH 2 final Mix+ added way more than people care to remember, which is ironic considering the fact that this DLC is supposed to REMIND US of what FM+ was. Note: ONLY KH 2 FM+ has done extra content RIGHT. Lets see recolor heartless and bosses, New weapons, new items, new skills, 1 New Form, New bosses IN THE BASE STORY, New Songs, ORG XIII from COM are also found outside of the DATA fights. The data fights, Lingering will, new treasure chest, Puzzle pieces, mushroom ORG XIII, the data fight Which was NEW AT THE TIME, Cave of remembrance, new hearless but only a few, new synthesis items, The story was better, we had a middle chapter in the OG KH 2 the FF character had a role and helped the party but this is Basic KH 2 now and more worlds. So yeah....i am suppose to be happy with KH 3 rehash dlc at 30$? heck You can get Hollow Knight for half of that.

My opinion is 6/10 or 7/10 There should have been something more i think re mind was Well not the best but good it was good it is missing something i just dont know what it doesnot feel whole it feels like part of that has taken away but im okay with that dlc i enjoyed it

I really don't get why sora had to be the one to fight terra-xehanort and not lingering will instead. it really seemed like it was hinting at it in the trailers. because really sora basically fights him twice, once in that DLC, and again in the base game anyway when you fight him alongside Vanitas with ven and aqua. it's really greedy when you think about it am I right?

This isn't related, but there's a rumor that the new Ratchet and Clank Game, is gonna come out on PS5 early before the new spider man game. I know you'll look into this right?

The secret ending being behind the superbosses doesn't bother me really, since in previous games to get the secret endings you also had to beat the superbosses unless you played on the hardest difficulty. Plus most players who played the games on the hardest difficulty would have probably fought them anyway so it doesn't make much difference to me. Other wise I agree with your thoughts on the DLC.

that is really interesting how you can go back to the main game during limit cut. I didn't think it was you could do that at all! but I was already at level 99 anyway and had plenty of munny and elixirs too. so I was fine, mostly...

Its the price, that left many expecting more. What we got was pretty solid though.

It was meant to be a challenge, so no. Not to hard. But it is pretty short for $30... it also feels incomplete for some reason. I partially blame the lack of new playable characters(why couldn't I play as The Chad Terra again, Papa Nomura?) as well as not being able to play as them outside of 1 single fight each... technically 2. Should've made it so we can play as them in the main game after we beat it as a bonus thing, too

The price was FAR too high at 39.99$ Canadian for me. As for the content difficulty? Well the limit cut bosses were challenging and some more frustrating and not fun. But most part was well made. I like a challenge but the limit cut bosses were overkill in terms of difficulty for me. So much that I had to use premium menu EZ codes, just to see the ending. I play games for story and limit cut difficulty was too far in my opinion. I play all my games for story and not so much gameplay. So limit cut was the weaker part of the dlc. But I loved the expanded story and the limit cut ending teasing so much more. 🤩

I'm still on yozora on standard difficulty and I'm a long time fan I've beaten all of the games on crit including kh 3. Kh3 is definitely the hardest kh game imo I can't wait to start the dlc on crit soon so I can use oblivion :).

I haven't bought the DLC because it doesn't adress my biggest issues with the game, which is the pacing. I'm really in dire need of a hub world. When the trailers released and the Nomura interview stated we'll get to see how Xion came to be and what the FF cast has been up to, I really figured they would implement Radiant Garden more into the game and iron out some minor story details. I didn't have a problem with the ending of KH3 in and of itself, I was just already really unhappy when I got to that point with the game.

the secret episode for this is truly mind-blowing I think! both the good and bad endings for different reasons. but I just wanna know if that cab driver in yozora's car is luxurd's someday. do you agree too? I'm surprised it'll be a bit someday!

The secret episode is “secret” for a reason - challenge should be involved to get to it. Modern gamers expect everything to be handed to them without much effort on their end. What’s the fun in that? Same thing with how some blew a fuss about having to complete critical mode to earn Oblivion. Key word: earn. It’s not impossible, just requires thought behind their gameplay. Mindlessly mashing X shouldn’t be encouraged, and this DLC does exactly that.

Remind was pretty shit without the yazora fight. Honestly kh3 is a mess rn. I just want the kh1 and 2 good days

Great video! I love seeing how passionate fans continue to be about KH3 even after ReMind. I enjoyed ReMind very much, but I do have my issues with it. I agree with many others that the ReMind scenario is a glorified story patch. If Nomura had just expanded the KH3 Keyblade War in the main game, and added Scala as a proper final dungeon, it would have been much better. Then, they could have simply advertised the DLC as a boss rush, and sold it at $15. KH3 still has me conflicted. Especially after seeing how much the Osaka team has improved in ReMind, I really feel KH3 still deserves a massive story patch. The game still has so much potential for expansion. Having played FFVIIR, it made me sad that KH3 couldn’t have just ONE dungeon with the energy and scale of the Mako Reactor. Ideally, I’d love for the team to patch in a Realm of Darkness/Castle Oblivion dungeon. The Aqua/Ven rescue are too important to be treated so lazily. Give us a dungeon with Aqua as a party member. It would significantly help the pacing of the midgame, and provide some much-needed character interaction. Or a Radiant Garden scenario. Nomura says there’s no reason to go there, but how hard is it to have Ienzo call Sora and say “Vexen and Demyx were spotted here. They must surely be up to something, come help!” Making that subplot a gameplay scenario would have been more satisfying imo. Anyway, I’m still hoping for future updates to the main game. Even after ReMind, KH3 for me sits at 7.13/10.

To be fair if someone isn’t good enough to beat the limit cut bosses they can always just replay the base game with ez codes and bring that save to limit cut

I feel like it would have been better if they had scrapped the Data Greeting and the Pro Code/EZ pass stuff, and instead used the same space, time, and effort to make extra real-game content like new enemies, more Scala, more cutscenes, and make Radiant Garden an actual level instead of just a house. That being said, despite the redundant Keyblade Graveyard segment, I thought it was very good for its price. Though I do wish there had been more content that wasn't just simply fanservice like the Data Org and the obligatory secret boss, good as they are.

Semi-agree. The data battles + Yozora are actually great content. They are all though but fair. Though the rest of the game is underwhelming at best, that’s for sure. Amazing bosses won’t fix a broken story, after all.

kh3 was my biggest letdown personally, like you get through the hercules world and the whole game drops off a cliff quality wise

I can understand what you're saying, but I believe there was a lot of time put into The new scenes in the KBGY, The guardians of light boss fight, expanded scala, The 13 data battles,data greetings,the new form changes, the premium menu, and the secret boss. I don't think there would be enough time for them to add in more than they did, especially if they have already started on 2 new kingdom hearts projects. Compared to KH2 final mix we got data battles, addition cutscenes, the fight between sora and roxas being playable, the cavern of remembrance, critical mode, a new drive form, the lingering will boss fight, and the birth by sleep secret ending. Both of these took roughly a year of development(kh2 come out in 2005, kh2 fm came out 2007. I don't know when final mix started development so i'd say a year for both, maybe a little more for kh2). So I think Re:mind releasing with the amount of content that it did makes sense considering the time they had. (Re:mind had to have started development in February, so it was released in just under a year.)

The answer is yes as a die hard kh3 Remind was perfect for me. Kh3 was already my favorite game this generation and remind pretty much secured it's spot for the rest of this gen. And remind was like having nomura come to your house listen to what you wanted and granted them 😭 (thank you nomura)

I agree with you: Overpriced by at least $10, but still worth it. And as far as "Too Hard"? Import the Ultima Keyblade into Beginner Difficulty and choose EZ Code. That is MY plan, anyway. ...actually, I plan to run Critical Mode with EZ Code first for Oblivion, THEN do a Beginner run. Meaning that it'll be a while before I actually play ReMind, but this is KHIII. A few extra runs isn't exactly going to ruin the experience. On a related note, locking half of the Premium Menu behind the Secret Boss was a jerk move. If one could carry the full menu into a NG+, that would be one thing. However, everything that I have heard says that this isn't the case. There really should be a way to unlock both menus for the entire campaign.

remind is great, totally worth 30. base kh3 though is a waste of money. whole pack for 45 is worth.

But vivi the other cutscene you mentioned in this video too, about master Xehanort talking with xigbar and saix about the current state of their new organisation right, why couldn’t every single member have been present in the room and each one have their own different line or quote to say, instead of the aforementioned 3 being the only ones present. You get what I mean at all? That would’ve been so epic I think. As well as vexen and demyx being in the middle, so that everyone knew they were reserves. I can understand why it wasn’t in the base game either. Except for maybe near the beginning there probably wouldn’t have been any other way to incorporate that cutscene too. What do you think overall about this?

I agree with your statements except for the garden of assemblage being in scala. Storywise, having data recreations of all 13 org members + radient garden's data garden on assemblage inside Xehanort's portal doesn't make much sense.

I think what irritated me the most is that they wasted the opportunity to have NPCs have side quest or dialogue hinting where secrets are. I think it was done only one time in the entire game and it was in Corona with the lighthouse Symbol. The Mickey symbol in Twilight Town on the movie screen gave me a false sense that the secrets would be more creative than they actually were.

I LOVED the fact that is was the power of all the guardians that took the true final boss down. Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Aqua, Axel/Lea, Roxas & Xion. I think they did a much better job at making every guardian seem useful in this scenario instead of having Sora do everything. Playing as Riku, Aqua, Roxas & Kairi helped as well. The guardian fight too! God I love that part. Just felt more like the epic climax that we originally wanted. I still love the original ending so I’m glad that wasn’t like overwritten or anything, but I’m so happy that they listened to fans and made Sora not feel like an over powered Goku. Every Guardian had their moment.

If you can't beat Limitcut you can't get the REAL Secret Ending, in the end it doesn't really make a diference. But I agree with Scala and about the re-used battles, I don't think they needed to change much to make it perfect tho.

God that final world theme just gives me so many feelings

I don't know why IGN are complaining about superbosses....a staple in JRPGs...Even turn based games don't have superbosses that are easy to beat with max stats. In most cases, players must strategize on what spells or attacks to use. The reviewer also stated how these bosses felt "out of place". Are you kidding me!?!?!?!

Also, check Joshua's dialogue in KH 3D... i'm very certain it explains the secret episode!!

I do agree with some of what you said like use Scala for where you fight the data forms but I don't think the price is too much I feel $30 or in my case $40 cause I got the 1 with the concert is a fair price for what you get yeah for new comers it's a bit too hard I'm a veteran player and I find it a bit too hard the secret episode is too hard I have yet to beat that and I'm playing it on the easiest difficulty at level 99 with high attack and high defenses but might be easier if I have the Ultimata Weapon but yeah I feel it is a bit too hard for a casual player this was made for the long time fans and I love it for that but at the same time I dislike it for that as well I'm not saying it's bad at all it's great for what it is and I do plan on trying to beat it and get everything then play it on the fast pass and black code modes to get all the trophies for the game and I honestly love the photo mode there is a few things I dislike about it but for the most part I love it

I love the new reaction commands with sora and riku when you fight ansem, xemnas and Young Xehanort was definitely awesome I agree! so much fun.

Whoever gave remind a 2/10 is a complete idiot. I personally loved the game and the dlc because it was an enjoyable game and always have great comebacks from previous games. The music is amazing, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay was a bit floaty at times but good if you're used to it. The jokes are really good. The part where you play as roxas and kauri were worth it and the limitcut episode is great too cause its like playing kh2 on unreal engine 4. And as for the secret episode, it was a lot of fun. Having yozora as a secret boss was perfect and it was harder than the lingering will from kh2.

The Data Battles + Yozora are very annoying, there are little frames, when they are vulnerable and they keep attacking you with everything. Even blocking doesn't help, as a lot of attacks cannot be blocked. This is to annoying for me, compared to fun fights from 2 FM

The new scenes were nice and the battle with all of the others was epic. But well. Scala was kinda boring and to fights with Kairi/Riku/Roxas/Aqua like 2 minuts each were more than disapointing. It wouldn't make sense but it would be awesome, if you could make a new game and play the whole story with one of them or have the possibility to swap. (sure dialogs and cutscenes would stilll be Sora) I love KH but this sadly wasnt worth buying in my oppinion.

I bought this DLC for the story. I was highly disappointed. Many of the added cutscenes were unnecessary and added more questions. This made the already confusing story even more confusing. I'm a lifelong fan of the series, but I was let down by this.

For the story parts, no, it wasn't worth it. For the superbosses however, it was.

I played sekiro... I learned how to beat some of the bosses in an hour tops. These limit cut bosses however... I don't see myself beating them ever, not even on the lowest difficulty. I just feel robbed of having fun. They could have balanced it for people with a lower level... Another version in the menu independent of your save perhaps.

Remind its a scam. Must of the content was on disk already. Only "NEW" things were XIII battles, and yozora. That said. As a long time fan im not getting it until it drops to 5$
