fun fact in the manga pluto actually ends up getting adopted by xion because she instantly fell in love with the guy and she nicknamed him "lil puppy" it was the most precious thing ever and she looked so happy and adorable
Kingdom hearts is a series that was never afraid to make its players cry and, whilst 358/2 days was never the best game in the series, it exemplifies that with the conclusion of this game. Seriously, we all, basically, knew what was going to happen when Axel brought Xion back to the organisation, and the fact that she wasn't in Kh2, but the friendship between the three was so interesting and well done, that even we knew the emotional gut punch was coming, it still hit like a freight train.
People laugh at this quote... but it makes me sad... Ice cream was their everyday... their only happy moment to look forward to... the reason they are friends or even the symbol of their friendship... axel is gone... xion is never coming back now... "who else will I have Ice cream with?"
358/2 is a playable tragedy. But in a sense of narrative. Is a tragic story that you get to take control of. Maybe it has a wonky gameplay, but the story of basically a forming and breaking friendship hits directly in the heart. Front Roxas trying to keep things like alway in vain, Xion conflicted with her own existance and Axel trying so hard to keep the group together.
