Kingdom Hearts II Sora "He said he defeated Riku..." Donald "Who said that?" S "That guy in the black coat." D "But NOBODY could defeat Riku!" 358/2 Days Me "Oh the irony...
those who have not played this game might consider this track as a cool track. but for those who have played the game, this track expresses an extreme feeling of sadness and stress in regards to the protagonist and storyline.
That bittersweetness gives it depth and flavor. That’s one more reason why Riku is my favorite character. Not to mention the pure practicality of conviction and resolve of a realist. A dark hero
Xion: "Riku please, you have to stop him!" Roxas: "How many times do I have to beat you?" Riku:"All right, you've left me with no other choice..." ...and the rest is history
Part of me wants to be rude and bring up the fact Riku had Roxas beat and chose not to kill him. But Riku was an idiot and chose not to kill him so I guess that detail really doesn't matter all that much.
@@OneBoredCatbug doesn't matter. Riku >>>>>>>> Roxas Also, I hear it somewhere that Riku couldn't kill Roxas because that would mean Sora will never wake up (of course, this get retconned in KH DDD and KH3 where you can get the person back if you kill both the heartless and the nobody)
Actually, Xemnas is all but confirmed as the 2nd most powerful incarnation of Xehanort, after Master Xehanort (and possibly Young Xehanort), and during the entire time of the Organization's operations he was holding back his true power (Nomura has said many times that Xemnas "most likely has a Keyblade, but choses to not use it") to keep up his charade to the fellow members. In a one on one with no witnesses Xemnas could have destroyed Roxas
Riku is crazy in this fight. I thought he would be a let down after the first part of the fight. But then he started to zoom around using that attack he used in KH1. And I was like, What The Heck! And then he started comboing me and using those dark attacks. I almost died. That battle put a nice finish on the game.
I listen to this during exams.... It's a 15 minute loop so it helps me keep track of how much time I have left.... It also makes me feel like a badass while I choose the right answer and/or right an essay about good vs evil B) (We're studying Good vs Evil in English right now & I quote KH in every essay on the topic.... My teacher wonders where I keep getting such good quotes...)
@FinalFlareXD0 It did more than just impact the series - it made KH2. Had this battle not happened, Roxas would've never been put into the virtual Twilight Town, meaning Sora would've never gotten his real memories back, meaning Sora would've never awakened, meaning the events of Kingdom Hearts 2 would've never happened. This was probably the single most important battle in all of Kingdom Hearts.
The three lines I ever hear him say are "Hope you're fast," "SLOPPY!" and "Just try and keep up!" Oh, yea, this is the best fight to reach level 60 + on, so yea. Just use the Y combo repeatedly and he can't run away.
I agree. Riku is my favorite character, not because he's badass or cool. It's because he fought to become free from the darkness and succeeded. I can relate since I used to be a terrible person and fought my way out of that and became a better person in the end. No one believes me when I tell them I used to be a violent dick who caused fights and crap lol. But thank God I'm not like that anymore and thank God for this game and this character Riku! :D I wish they would make a game with just him.
People stop fighting about Riku and Sora lol. They're both awesome characters! Besides being the main character, Sora beat him because he had light and friends on his side and Riku (in KH 1) had only darkness and casted away his friends. But now Riku can control both light and darkness (after KH 1). And Sora is still pure of heart and light. Therefore, both are awesome and unique in their own ways.
The only thing that is wrong in your comment nintendoplayer07 is that sora's heart wasnt fully light as ***** said the only character who has pure light is Ventus since his darkness is forced to extracted and created vanitas
SuperEpicFaces Ventus isn't the only with pure light. There is also the 7 princesses of heart. They are the only people that have pure hearts of light.
This theme represents to me the loss of fear of what lies beyond the darkness, light, and the unknown, it represents diving into it without any fear of what will be on the other side.
2 rules when fighting riku 1. do not remove his blindfold why? cause you're Screwed the moment he takes off his blindfold 2. make sure you can beat Ansem if you can beat Ansem (who I call Seman cause reasons) then rule 1 does not apply but be warned he is still going to go full power on you so get serious
i thinkl it was really lame to put this fight as a final boss, but the music is epic, so epic it makes the battle COMPLETLY worth it, im geitng this game soon :D
in kingdom hearts 2 i didn't know anything about abilities until i beat the game, and my friend got all the way till xigbar with only a magestaff (that's when i thaught him what a moogle was[didn't know he didn't know till then])and till Lionking 2nd time with a knights shield. you stories are both highly believable
Yeah I view the post-Xion bit playable cutscenes really, just good fun I mean they aren't gonna give you the badass dual keyblade wielding scene and make things challenging. That said Roxas has a lot of nerve claiming he beat Riku once XD
@DarklightBx What I would have prefferred though is that the cutscene after the fight was an actual battle. Just make it an impossible one, against Riku's suddenly magnified powers. Let us feel Roxas' frustration, his agony, as the only thing he had left, his promise, was taken away.
yyeah, i mean considering he's the second highest ranking guy in ORG 13, and the fact that everyone seems to follow his lead and instructions. heck besides xemnes and xigbar he's the head hancho, as well as one of hardest boss in KH2
We can never really know what would happen. But what I can say is, even with two keyblades, Roxas doesn't stand a chance against Saix + Demyx + Luxord + Xaldin (Oh gosh Xaldin) + Demyx (Oh GOSH Demyx!) + Xigbar AND Xemnas together. Even a combination of two or three. I think it's for the best Riku stopped him.
Honestly, if anyone is going to be throwing blame concerning all of this, as well as the whole “which character is better” thing, let me remind you all that the reason Roxas needed to disappear to begin was Naminé’s fault. She was the one to screw up Sora’s memories in the first place because she was terrified of “being alone.” As for the whole Roxas/Sora vs. Riku thing, technically speaking, Riku is currently stronger than Sora. For starters, he can wield the darkness AND the light. He learned from his mistakes in KH1. And now, SPOILERS RIKU IS IMMUNE TO THE DARKNESS! While Sora is also not a Keyblade master yet, and lost all his strength and succumbed to the darkness!
When Sora entered the castle, Naminé was forced by Marluxia and Larxene to manipulate Sora's memories, slowly causing Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy to forget many friends and events prior to their arrival. She also used her influence to cause Sora to believe that she is a very important friend that he has forgotten. Marluxia forced Naminé to undergo this manipulation so that Sora may become a puppet under Naminé's, and therefore Marluxia's control, allowing Marluxia to overthrow Xemnas.
I wish Riku wasnt the last battle- if when he goes Ansemfrom, you can ACTUALLY fight him, and if you lose, the series goes on normally into KHII and so on, but if you WIN, you can go to the castle, team up with Axel, and beating Xemnas, thus freeing KingdomHearts, and giving the story a a differant ending and continuation! That would be EPIC!
Also as stated by Xemnas in 3D, most of the members of Organization XIII grew their own hearts, yet never knew. That means by the end of 358/2 Days he was pretty much a whole person, yet still fractured.
Sora's faith in Riku is seemingly quite sound. After all, he spent his childhood with Riku and during none of that was Riku ever emotionally compromised. But right here in Days, with all the shit going on in his life, Riku is so, so very compromised.
I've played Days almost religiously & I know how each boss is difficult The Dustflier is packed with HP & Defence, so it takes AGES to kill Xion has combos that are unavoidable once her first move's blocked & can regain HP if not stopped Ruler of the Sky keeps moving around, but using Xaldin with Lindworm in Mission Mode makes it easier Go for the Tentaclaws when fighting the Leechgrave & it'll hit the ground, taking slightly more damage when you attack it Just roll & glide to dodge Riku
Riku is one of my favorite Character's. I think it's because he went into darkness and faught his way back to light then Excepted both. That kinda resembles how everyone's heart is. No matter how much light you have in your heart you'll still have a little bit of darkness inside of you and that goes for the people who has darkness in their heart they also have a little bit of light in their hearts to no matter how much they deny it
One of the most Important Battles that happened in the KH Series, Riku made Roxas realize that he wasn't ready to face Zemnas and the story continues from there basically lol, this is made Between Chain of Memories and KH2. I'm probably gonna predict the Ventus is actually Roxas (back when he was Alive 10 years before Sora was born)
I remember, not long ago.. maby 2 years. I was listening much of Rock music, i still do. But as i have grown older i find myself enjoying to listen Game OST.s or some classy music. And i guess this happens. You listen more "different" music, what you used to, as you grow older and to me its game music. But Daang this sounds great!
Goodness i used to love this song so much but after getting to like 70's and onward had to use that exp ring and spam this riku fight on a regular basis getting to 100 was a pain xD
The battle would be even more epic if we could fight the Riku after he summons the darkness, even if he would be overpowered and nearly impossible to beat :P
Raiku:Mega destruction dark ball of darkness and des- Raiku:Ouchie ouch Raiku:Time to unleash my dark power *SWOOSH*darkness Rocksack:nani Roxas:Ouchie ouch
I packed up on like 14 potions then wasted about 11 of them on Saix, 2 of them on the NeoShadows before Riku, and when I finally got to him I had 1 left >.> The only thing I could practically do was spam magic and limit break. Still the best boss ever.
@marie90 No, Riku deflected an attack which Roxas had not expected him to do and then he stood back up. Riku was going to lose, just like Riku lost against Sora so many times. He was essentially fighting Sora, that is why Riku ended up calling on Gaurdian, because he knew he was going to lose.
Ya I totally agree I wish they would make a video game all about Riku. But I think the new KH3D has Riku's and Sora's but I'm not quite all that sure :)
@lalastarstuck after riku and roxas fought, they placed roxas in that time chamber and transported him to the fake twilight town, gathering soras memories and placing them back together, then sora woke up
@oddhyuga day 359 is when Riku and Ansem (DiZ) took Roxas back to Castle Oblivion to get Soras memories back. Well, I think that's it. If you look at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2, it should help some.
To all who want a challenge, do this fight at Level 1. Most of Riku's attacks will kill you in one shot. Trust me I know, he killed me 3 times (6 if you count Auto Life).
@DarklightBx heres my strategy, keep in the air when he's doing the shockwave attack, then avoid his tail attack or lung by air sliding, then get him in the head at any chance givin.then when he shoots meteors at u,just find a spot at the tower to take cover(results may vary >:D)
Sora beats Riku because Riku is corrupted and then later possessed (IE, it's not Riku). Roxas nearly beats Riku because Riku is holding back because he's scared shitless of becoming the monster that stole his body and caused ridiculous amounts of genocide - which, when your body is already doing that, is a damn reasonable fear. If you're gonna stan for Riku, at least stan for him accurately.
