Man, the way you keep up with all this stuff and then explain a load of cryptic scenes and bizarre dialogue from a *trailer* in a simple and logical way.... that is one skill I definitely do not have with this series. Thank you for decrypting the KH code of mystery for me once again.

Personally, I don't think Donald and Goofy went looking for Hades because of how frightened they are to see him, I think they were looking for Auron, the only person they know to have come back from death.

Loving the videos! Just binged all your recap videos after seeing recommendations for them on some other reveal reaction videos. Something I realized while watching your analysis of the trailer, is how the narration we hear, could also be kinda read as a message to the audience on a narrative level. The whole quote of: “It this isn’t the ending you desired - if it brings you despair - then leave this world for another. Your options are endless. However - if you do leave this world behind, don’t expect to return to the one from which you came - “ could kinda be interpreted as saying to us the audience: If you didn’t like how the last game ended, and/or if you don’t like the direction the new game is heading, then leave this series and play something else because there are infinite options. But if you do leave the series, don’t expect it to eventually go back to the way it was when you left. So this story is going to be different from what it was in the last three installments, and the writers are dedicated to going forward with this new direction. I doubt that’s what was intended by that narration, but it’s one possible extra interpretation that I got from it.

So I'm not sure if you're aware, but Nomura confirmed that the Missing Link and 4 narrators are the same person someone 'we've seen but not heard' . He also revealed a coded message as part of the promotion and, if it's been decoded properly, it reveals who it is. I don't want to just write a spoiler out in the open but it should be on the KH reddit.

After the kh4 trailer i spent all of yesterday watching your union cross videos because i never knew much of what happened in the mobile games besides from back cover. Love your videos and theories

I take a wild guess but I say the second hooded figure alongside MoM will turn out to be Ava! So far she is the biggest Enigma among the original Masters, we don't know for certain what happened to her. Another wild guess would be Skuld! She is the only one we have not seen where she ended up in the ending of Union Cross!

Dreaming is a form of rebirth in this universe. Mystery Solved. KHIV = Death>Sleep>Dream>Rebirth Light and Darkness can travel through time, and in between Death>Sleep>Dream>Rebirth. Every world has a heart, "IF" Sora doesn't reclaim this world "Quadratums Heart"' he will never become a real person. In Kingdom Hearts 1, Sora starts the game by saying whilst in the realm of sleep "Is any of this for real.... or not....." then 'after' this Yazora's lines get added in in Kingdom Hearts III "none of this makes sense to me". So Sora is the beginning of all of this. As of yet there is no end to it, because Yazora is not the end of it. KHIV is not the last game, get ready for it. There used to be only one keyblade "Soras". Now look at how many keyblades exist, it's complete nonsense. The "Keyblade "itself is the paradox to reality. The Keyblade is written the BOP. The world gets saved when there is only one keyblade again. Kingdom Hearts is completed when Darkness takes over the world and "resets" time to "Zero" as refered to by the moniker DiZ "Darkness in Zero". In which case, the moniker DiZ "Darkness in Zero" is also an analogy to the "count down timer placed in the player characters palm" in Shibuya that "The World ends With you" Game is rolling with.

My question is if we get a star wars kh4 world then how will they make sora able to combat lightsabers without his keyblade turning into a lightsaber keyblade beforehand? If we normally get the weapons after the world we visit?? Unless they somehow explain that his keyblade is indestructible...

Isn’t the trailer dialogue a conversation between Master of Masters and someone else during Union X? It sounds so familiar

Maybe it could be that the fabric of time doesn‘t exist in Quadratum or is much slower like in the Realm of Darkness. Because of this Sora can be 1 week there and in the Real World it past 1 year. And i believe the person on side with the MoM is Ava because she never returned to the real world.

I actually have a theory about Kingdom Hearts 4 and I'm wanting to see what other people think; Basically, my question was; "How do some people end up in Quadratum after death but some don't? There doesn't seem to be any one thing connecting the two methods we've seen so far." And also; "Why was the Player from Union X reincarnated (at least partly) into Xehanort instead of going to the Final World or just straight up dying OR going to Quadratum like Strelitzia did?" Well, my theory is that Kingdom Hearts is the key to it all. Notice how Strelitzia showed up in Quadratum and so did Sora but nobody else who died did. Why didn't the player end up there? Simple, they died in a cable between worlds that was locked from both sides and no way out... where could their heart even go? Strelitzia died immediately after the Keyblade War started and Sora died shortly after the Keyblade War ended, they were both in the presence of Kingdom Hearts near their time of death... but remember how Sora was able to retain his body in the Final World? Well, maybe that also explains why he's also able to keep his body in Quadratum. Now as for Strelitzia, I'm assuming that Luxu sent the body to the future, THEN to Quadratum so that her heart could have a vessel shortly before Sora arrived there. Now, that alone is just baseless speculation but remember, this series IS still called Kingdom Hearts so it'd be a bit stupid for Kingdom Hearts itself to have no relevance in the series anymore. Also, I realise that if this theory is true then that could mean that Xehanort and Eraqus could come back... and I say no. I think Eraqus will not come back, he has no body to possess... but I'm going to tell you something that'll probably upset you people who just want Xehanort to die; Luxu... or rather, Xigbar never recompleted as a somebody in KH3... that means that he's still a Nobody... that ALSO means that he STILL has a fragment of Xehanort's heart still inside of his heart... this theory maybe being wrong sadly doesn't prevent Xehanort from returning.

in Kingdom hearts 3 final cutscene we are revealed about a new chess game but now with 7 darkness an 13 lights the 7 darkness are the 5 foreteller, Luxu and MoM, but who would be all the 13 lights? well we have at least 10 confirmed being the sea salt trio (Roxas, Xion and Lea) teh Wayfinder trio (Ventus, Aqua and Terra) and the destiny trio (Sora, Kairi and Riku) and finally mickey (well this is a disney game so i think that he is the another confirmed guardian of light) but who would be the last 3? we have 5 options for now: Naminé (if she is back she will do something important and if roxas and xion are keyblade wielders why not her too?) Yozora (He wil be an important figure in this arc being or not an guardian of light, but i think he could be one too) Lauriam, Elrena (they are completed again and i remember in kh the Organization 13 wanted to awaken their keyblade heritage or something like that from their original body and Nomura wouldn't put an dialogue like thios for nothing so they are an option) and Strelitzia (if sora is going back from Quadratum probably her is gonna to do so too, and well she was the one who MoM have had chosen to have the Book of profecies so she might have something special) From this 5 options my favorites for the 3 final are :Naminé, Yozora an Strelitzia If You all are reading this comment , could you comment below what are your favorite options and if you have more ideas give more options to the 3 remaining guardians of light

I do wonder if Melody of Memory should be thought of as being in the Lost Master Arc.

I half expected Sora not to be able to use his keyblade, because the world he currently resides in cannot house light or darkness. But of course darkness is there so that means he can use his light. It seems like both entities have "infected" this world in a way? I'm not sure where to go with this, but it made me think of Kingdom Hearts. Multiple people have wanted to use it to do something, Ansem said it was darkness, Sora said it was light, yet the Realm of Darkness resided within its doors, but it also collects hearts. It might have been retconned at this point, but to me it sounds like an endless energy source. And maybe it can act like a nuclear bomb that can destroy all realities (not just the realm of light). The Master of Masters takes Quadratum's moon and shapes it into a heart, then a square. Maybe he's trying to make another Kingdom Hearts? One that he can control and then use to win his war. He can't use the other one cause its unstable so find a world that doesn't have light nor darkness and make an artificial Kingdom Hearts (Kingdom Square?) then use its boundless energy against the darkness and he wins? I'm honestly just rambling at this point and there are probably a lot of holes in this line of thinking. But it's something to think about. I can't believe you played Battle Front to find those elusive mushrooms. Way too fun to watch :)

I personally am just flat out uncertain about Endor/Star Wars and Marvel being more worlds for KH to visit. I lean towards it being a bridge too far, but like you have said it thematically could work. I think it would just be sheer gluttony from a content perspective and really start to detract from the core story of KH. It's always been about the Keyblades, Heartless, and original content - the FF/Disney crossover is the Peanut Butter/Jelly window dressing to the story, for me. If you start throwing in more stuff, it messes with the formula. What I really want to see from 4 is a focus on Quadratum, Noctis, and the MoM/Luxu. They really blew open the possibilities at the end of 3, and I want laser focus on that.

I'm inclined to believe that thing in the forest isn't an ATST, just because, if it is, the shot of it seems like a huge screw up. How did no one on Nomura's team notice that thing was in the shot, especially when it's so prominent. If star wars really is in the game, this has never been how they've shown new worlds. Ive been following Nomura's work long enough to be suspicious of even seemingly obvious things.

Just a heads up about 11:36 - In Nomura's translated interview about the trailers he said that they are 'by the actor of an existing character altering his voice' and mentions it isn't Brain. Interesting to include that.

My theory on the lost master the name of the arc refers to: I think each individual game in this arc could refer to its own lost master, while still having the overarching one, because this is kinda sorta how the dark seeker saga did it if you think about it. KH1 is Ansem, KH2 is Xemnas, etc etc, but Xehanort is the overarching dark seeker. So for the lost master arc, maybe for KH4 that refers to Sora, maybe a side game will feature Lea and Isa and the Twilight Town crew searching for the girl in the KH3 secret reports (probably Skuld), while there’s still the overarching lost master who will be the big bad of the arc and of the final game in the arc. And that one would of course be the Master of Masters…unless it isn’t? Because really, he isn’t ‘lost’ per se. He seems to come and go as he pleases, and in the trailer is right there next to presumably Luxu. Also, Luxu brought back four of the other ‘lost’ masters…so they aren’t lost anymore either. Except for one of them, one character that we really don’t officially know the whereabouts for, and who’s last known location is really unknown. Yep, that’s right, I think there’s an argument to be made that Ava is the ‘lost master’ the whole arc refers to. Because while we have some individual lost masters, Ava is the only one right now that nobody knows where they are. Skuld is kinda lost to us in the audience right now but we actually have something of a timeline of her movements and know more recently where she was. Sora will probably be ‘found’ by the end of KH4. And the MoM doesn’t seem too ‘lost’. But we really have no clue where Ava is at this point. Anyways thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.

One additional person we need to keep in mind when thinking who the Lost Master is there are three distinct possibilities the first 2 are as Damo says, but we also need to remember that the term Lost Master is applicable to Ava as she should be included of the tale of the Lost masters Eraqus and Xehanort are discussing additionally she is the only Master we have absolutely no information at this time and is the only one that could be considered truly Lost.

Also, for the fact it’s not plural and called the lost masters arc indeed can insinuate this is “the masters of master” arc and we can finally understand the enigma that he is lol

I LOVE how Bio-Roxas directed his viewers to you for story analysis, and you directed your viewers to him for gameplay analysis 🤣. That had to have been planned by one of you after the other or both behind the scenes.

3 things to have in mind that have been presented or stated on the series that must be had in mind: 1st Terranort wasn't sending Kairi through time, but through space. 2nd Also we don't know who the person that Lea and Isa knew and was being experimented by Terranort was taken by and hide by Luxu. So there is the chance that Strelitzia is that person and she was send to Quadratum. The 3rd thing, it's that Riku states in DDD that each world has it's own time axies and they don't necessary match the same with different worlds, so it's possible that in this new realm for what Sora is 7 days, it has been a whole year for his friends.

For the case of darkness in this place where neither light nor darkness should exist, I think it's tied to what Lron explained about the Keyblade in KH1: That heartless will keep coming after Sora as long as he wields it. Possibly the same holds true for other Keyblade wielders aka MoM, Luxu, Strelitzia who seemingly came to Quadratum before Sora did.

When i was younger and first saw Disney's purchase of Lucas Films and Marvel, it made me incredibly happy. Not for a new and terrible unneeded star wars sequel series or anything, but for Kingdom Hearts. To a little kid nothing sounds cooler than the idea of Sora wielding a lightsaber Keyblade and cracking jokes with Spiderman. And hell i still think it would be an awesome thing so see in the series. But i can definitely understand why people wouldn't like the inclusion of either. Especially when a lot of people now just want Disney to be completely not a part of the KH franchise.

Hey damo I have a question/ theory so you know when you said that towards the end that darkness could have been coming in because of the master of master and lucios but couldn't it also be because of sora because in kh1 we hear leon say that the heartless will follow the keyblade so couldn't they just have followed sora through into the new world. also a theory at 7:48 when you are talking about kh4 trailer doesn't it look like sora is struggling to even summon the keyblade because originally the keyblade just showed up right away this one look like it took a couple of seconds to even show up just a thought I could be wrong.

4:37 since we know time flows differently in every world, 7 days in Quadratum =\= 1 year later from the Melody of Memories scene. Riku may still show up soon, relatively speaking.

Based on the KH13 Q&A, “since Yozora is so strong I thought it would be better to put something in the game “if he loses””, I think that just means Nomura put that there for the game because the character is so hard to fight and not because he was meant to lose in the story.

There's too much to talk about, so the one thing I'll say is I think the Kingdom Key calls on the memory of Sora's former powers to make swirly light versions of those attacks. And that Sora's memories could be at risk, and maybe the physical body he inhabits in Quadratum is what's stolen and becomes Yozoras body? Nice on you for pronouncing Hikarie right and for recognizing the door bell, which is a little blended with the music lol. Can't wait for more damo content! Also already so sick of the Star Wars theories. Endor barely had any memorable or major water features and the trees are redwood trees, very different than the trailers forest, which makes me think of a Versus XIII trailer moment where young Noctis runs through woods into Regis' arms

An ability that allows sorcerers to travel other dimensions/ worlds through dreams . . . . . nah that's a stretch . . . . . . .or is it? 🤔

So what if the reason darkness was able to get to quadratum is actually due to Sora. Sora met Vanitas and since the 2 were connected, could it be possible that darkness was able to finally find its way to the world that the master of Masters had been hiding in. Another question is what if the reason Sora is able to use his keyblade has to do with Luxu and the seed of light be brought to a neutral place? Finally, remember that the Master of Masters plan was to trap the darkness either in a digital world or within a person. Given Sora has had anti form and held multiple hearts whats the chances that the Master of Masters was actually seeking Sora given he is in the book of prophecy as an attack card. The goal was in truth trap the dark nesses inside Sora. Now remember how malificent was able to go to her past self but found she was in a digital world. Well there is also a digital version of Sora that he could potentially come back to. Given ansem the wise and mickey are friends what are the chances that sora is brought back in a similar fashion. Also consider how Kiari who had the potential to show up at quadrutum first got to the destiny island. However, I feel this would force either the antagonist or the protagonist to go back in time when the Master of master and the darkness was 1 single person. I also suspect that that the Foretellers were nobodies and the box contained the medium for them to come forth as we see at the end of KH3. Rather the question I now have is what other roles has brain played in his 2 lives and what are the chances that both Odin and master of master are connected? Odin acted suspicious during dark rode and how he seems unphased by what is transpiring around his students. I also suspect that we will find out what became of ava.

I really want that new seven heart plot to continue in Kingdom Hearts IV.
