I shot the kinds 7"laser driving lights and the kinds 7"lethal driving lights up a disused runway to see how far they actually go. watch the video to see the results.
I'm not to sure why other brands command such a premium, with this exhibition identified by the host, his basically saying save your cash and consider other considerable cheaper options. Thanks for the video👍🏽
was thinking of getting the King's Lethal, u've convinced me. such a great thorough review of each light, you done an awesome job showing their full potential. Thank you
I will say that would have to be 1 of if not the best light comparison I've ever seen. I've been considering the kings laser lamps and I've heard mixed reviews but you've definitely cleared my mind. I'm now curious to see how the 7inch and 9inch laser lamps compare to each other.
Awesome video mate. Im looking at getting some head lights for my triton. Was curious if the laser model offered less span/flood compared to the normal kings lights. I basically want something with reasonable distance but at the same time a decent amount of flood. Thanks again really found this video helpful
Are the 6x4 LED headlights and high beam on your 80 any good? What brand are they, and would you recommend them? I'm looking for something to replace the halogen on my 80. Unsure if I should go the same route you've done (replace the entire headlight lens unit), or simply replace the bulb into LEDs.
Don’t get them they are rubbish. I am looking for something else. They are ok on high beam but Lo beam is no good my original reflectors were shot so I tried these.
@@blackllama1 Thanks for that, I appreciate it. FYI... I love your campsite reviews. I'm slowly going through (ie. watching) them. I'm familiar with most of them as I live on the Central Coast, but I've never been to all of them, only on some. Keep 'em up. 👍
Great test. One thing that could have really improved the test and make it less subjective, is if you used some sort of light / lux meter. But it's clearly showing the Laser lights are the winner. 👍
I think based on the spread the kings lethal are the overall winner by far. Dont see how useful such a concentrated spot is.. might be good if you often travel on very straight roads or accross the desert.. for most of my bush driving the lethals would be the winner. Awesome review, thanks a lot for putting this together.. this settles it, I'm replacing my no names with lethal!
Hows the color temperature on the kings lethal mate? Im planning to replace my spotlights due to getting headache from the bluish hue on the them. I want a yellowish light.
Yes I am the same. I find I get eye strain from the blueish light. The lethal lights are warmer than the eBay ones The lasers are warmer again. I like the colour of the laser lights but they have 2 super bright spots in the middle. I find to bright and distracting. New video about this should be up next Sunday. Where I will talk about this.
@@gadzingerzee I Changed from the Kings laser 2nd gen 8.5" to the Lethal 9.0. The Laser gen 1&2 series are incredibly bright HOWEVER the glare from reflective road signage is terrible much like the dominator series. The Lethal series however is much better overall making 7hr night drives much more pleasant. It really was a coin toss re STEDI 8.5 SPORT vs Lethal 9". At less than half the price I figured what the hell!. My combo includes the Stedi ST4K 32" bar which is seriously impressive on its own.
About 8 months ago I bought both the laser & leathal for my vehicle, I also got the light bar to mount to the roof rack, the one with the lense in the middle, yet to connect the light bar up yet, but I have heard they are pretty good. I have been rather impressed with the laser & leathal since I bought them, though I am yet to get greater use out of them, I will be soon. With the kings lights I have seen on vehicles about that appear to have been @least installed for @least a few years, they show yeloowing of the the shields which I think are polycarbonate. I don't know if the newer ones have improved in this regard. It would be interesting to test how much the yellowing is atributed to the lights use & how much it is uv exposure to the sun. So to I would like to see a performance comparative test with some of the top end brans in the market. Of course this would mean more money & work involved. On video it does not give the true brightness reference but it does give enough of an idea to make a valued comparison. I yhink the use of a light meter might add to the comparison, of course again more cost in testing. Going further testing light over time intervals will give a better idea with regards to how the leds dull off over time & the yellowing I spoke of. Good video!
Thanks for the feed back, yes I tried to get a light meter but couldn’t get my hands on one cheep enough. I don’t make much from my videos so can’t afford to spend to much making videos. I had to try and sell the laser lights off after the video. As well as the eBay ones. You mention the yellowing. I have also noticed this on older model lights, would be very interesting to compare light use to sun. Lots of work to do so. Anyway thanks again. 👍
@@blackllama1 I was not criticizing your production budget. I know you are not a big channel (yet!). I was just thinking aloud & I thought after I wrote my comment that the same things probably went through you head too. To your credit it is the type of video that the "big" channels probably would not do, well I have not seen one do a comprehensive take on lights, especially the ones with a sponsorship deal with the more expensive light brands. What if with the more expensive brands that the primary difference is a UV proof polycarbonate shield. I don't mind paying top dollar if I know what I am getting & it is good quality & the price fairly reflects that. Lights are a difficult thing to compare. You video was a pretty solid effort!
@@leonkane8240 sorry it was not taken as criticism. I actually think it’s a great idea. I would love to do it. My brain started spinning with different ways I could do it 😂 I was just pointing out I wish I had the money to do so😁 You might be on to something there with different uv treated products. I’m always keen for ideas and feedback, Thanks for watching.
One thing to remember with the laser lights is, if you hit a bump that hot ball of light is gunna bounce around all the bloody place another thing is, if you accidentally shine those into the wrong car. Ie one with those red and blue party lights on it your going to get pulled over and probably get hassled. As all of those lights are for offroad use only. Potential fine and not only that. If you cause an accident or have an accident its a potiential out for your insurance not to cover you.
