In this video, I compare the Brunner CLS-E NG yoke against the Brunner CLS-E MKII yoke using Microsft Flight Simulator & X-Plane. If you're in the market for either one of these force feedback flight sim yokes this video will give you a comparison of both. You'll get to see them side by side and hear my thoughts on what I think the important differences are.
If you have either of these yokes, hit me up in the comments with your thoughts. What you love about them, what you'd change if anything.

Please, do a thorough TEST of the MOTIOM PLUS PLATFORM you are currently using... I am very interested in purchasing it, but I have many questions... if not a TEST, at least tell me as much as you can... thanks and best regards

I’m a pilot and primarily a tailwheel guy and without Brunner yoke and rudders it’s just an autopilot sim. If you want to really feel like you are flying the plane get both the rudders and yoke.

100% with you. It’s amazing how good they are. You just need a bit of time investment in to the software to really dial in profiles.

@@g-locmedia spot on. I took a Bird dog and J3 tailwheel plane and spent a good time getting the profile configured to a point where ground loops are a real battle on the sim. Also it’s nice to feel the weight of the elevator on takeoff. Love your sim btw.

@g-locmedia Hi, thanks for the video. Can you suggest where to find profiles? I fly jets mostly, and although I don't mind tweaking the software (as I am not a real pilot), I won't be able to set it up with the correct values to make it feel real.

Anyone that owns either of these: what sim cockpit are you even using? How do you possibly mount these to a flight sim cockpit like the next level racing rig?? I want to buy a sim cockpit, but I am scared I won't be able to mount them

I have a wooden deck bolted to the top and then I've screwed down the yoke to the deck.

The LCD screen on the Mark II is cheesy, is it possible to get a Mark II with just the plain bare center cover?

Today I went out on the internet doing some window shopping so I can fly dcs...When I wanted to buy a decent video card my shopping was swiftly ended. A 24 G video caRD costing some 2100+ euro...and still needed everything to shove it into..

Hi god comparision of these two :) I am considering buying the CLS-E NG Yoke but aim at CLS-E MK II Yoke because I am not sure if the pitch traveling is enouch at the NG modell? I am mainly will fly the PMDG737 and maybe also a Leajet? The NG modell has 90mm and the MKII 160mm. That should mean for NG 4.5mm in either direction and for MKII 80mm in either direction, does not it? Exampel (A hypothesis): In FS2020 a B737 yoke travels from center point 80mm in either direction. If you have the NG you have to be much more careful in your movements. Have I understood it correctly? Best regards Fredrik

You are right in your thinking although the peak nm force of the yoke can reach full either way. I did get used to the 90mm travel quite quickly however I now feel spoiled with the 160mm travel of the mkII

@@g-locmedia I have bought the MKll and got the unit home in last monday. I have had time yet to powering up but will do asap. I planning also to buy the pedals soon. I`ve been saving for the units a while now :) For some while ago I decided to turn my FS project into pmdg7 from Prosim737.

Don't forget the 20% import tax certainly for the EU , probably the same for the UK.

I have a question about your setup: Can you provide the measurement from the outer edges of the side monitors for your 55-inch TVs? I'm trying to determine the required floor space in my sim-rig room for a setup with triple 55-inch TVs. I'm considering upgrading from a single 55-inch display, and my computer is capable of handling the change. Thanks, Mate!

Follow up question, please: Are you using the default 2.0 HDMI output that comes with the "computer's video card" to drive your PFD? When I had my old setup running I would run my other monitor for flight plans and other programs using the computers video card. That seemed to give me more FPS. I would run my triples off of the RTX 3080. If you aren't doing that it may be worth a try? FPS - FTW!

My experience with the MK II is that the force is always too much... Only when I turn off the power can I move the yoke with very little effort. When the plane is sitting on the ground stationary there should be very little force required to move the yoke, especially roll.

@@g-locmedia I got rid of all my Saitek hardware recently, wouldn't work with the latest X-Plane 12 or MSFS 2020. These yokes look the real deal, pity about VAT, I've been rooked with VAT charges over the last few weeks.

No offence meant but that’s a hilarious question, what with the Logitech/Saitek yoke not being FFB and being entry level hardware and a very old design that Logitech did nothing to improve and fix the big issues it had when they bought Saitek. I had them so I know how bad they were, that said there’s no reason why they didn’t work with the latest sims, mine worked with FS2020 before I moved to a Virtual Fly Yoko+, much better but you can’t compare non-FFB hardware to ones with FFB and I’ll be getting a MK II Brunner as the finances allow.

Correct me if I'm wrong! From what I understand is that the CLS2SIM license is NOT included with the yokes so those prices are (somewhat?) deceptive, you need to add another 500 for the software... Not sure how usable these yokes are without the (f*ing) expensive software.

@@g-locmedia Thanks, that does make a big difference, sadly their software isn't available on Linux. That, and the price, I think I'll go for a Honeycomb setup.

@@patvdleer yea they are very much top tier products. Nothing wrong with the honeycomb yoke. I’ve had two of them in the past. Great mid range yokes.
