Hi Daniel, the platform sides are from the Peco range whilst the top surface is a layer of thin plasticard/styrene sheet covered with Wills stone slab effect plastic sheets. I then used a range of stone coloured paints and painted each slab individually - a bit time consuming but worth it. The layout is controlled by a Modellex Hand Held controller.

The wagons are propelled out of the yard and then drawn into either the platform or run-round loop were the loco can then run around before departure to the fiddle yard. At the moment the uncoupling is done by hand but I am considering some form of automatic uncoupling.

Totally agree, it would be of little benefit on any of my layouts anyway.

Hi, the fiddle yard is a rotary/turntable type with 6 tracks.

Thanks for the comment Sean. The layout is end to end with a turntable fiddle yard at one end.

No pigeons, just GWR style round finials on the top of the signals.
