Back in 2013, I made a Kirby 64 cutscene compilation video. I remade the video because I wasn't satisfied with the last one. It had choppy audio, watermark was too big, and I didn't include the credits. This new video fixes all of that.
Anyway, all of the cutscenes from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards including the bad & good ending!

I remember playing this game as a kid. The cutscenes actually hold up REALLY well for a Nintendo 64 game. Not very often that happens in a non-fmv based game (or CGI in general for that matter)! Color me impressed-HAL actually managed to pull it off exquisitely! Hardly any jagged edges; sure the textures are primitive, but they all scream charm!

Gecko 1993 they probably managed to make pretty nice character models thanks to the levels being not so complex at all, i mean, the geometry and polygon count of the levels arent that good (not calling the level layout bad, they are fun lol) but it served to save a lot of polygon count to be used for the character models.

You're right! I did watch from Up+Start's Low Poly series when he talked about Mario 64 that level geometry, nor character models for N64 standards could not have more than 1000 triangles. In regards to 3D modelling, less IS more for the levels; whilst the characters were simple, keeping the system's frame solid!

Can I just say something real quick, I feel like this waddle dee later becomes bandana dee. I mean think about it, he was the one to convice DeDeDe to join them, which would mean that a good bond would have to exsist after this, like bandana's and DeDeDe's, plus he obviously would still believe himself to be in debt to kirby, and would train to become strong enough to help him. There's No other way, this waddle dee is Bandana Dee

I don't know but I feel like this Waddle Dee is Parasol Dee. Dedede didn't seem to have a relationship with this Waddle Dee like Bandana Dee. Which makes sense because he didn't have a relationship with Parasol Dee at the time.

not really. in fact waddle dood are waddle dee who are evolved a little more evil (in kirby better you're nice, better you're closing you to kirby's specie, better evil you are, better you're closing you to dark matter.) so waddle dee possessed become more closing to dark matter and so seems like a waddle doo. and he cannot be a waddle doo because he don't use their principal ability.

That's interesting. The incomplete ending credits have pictures that aren't in color, so a couple images had baffled me-I wasn't sure who it was in the picture of the Queen of Ripple Star, and the picture of 02 has it making that face it has briefly before the fight with it begins so I thought it was a weird, stylized Kirby. Additionally, in the incomplete ending, Kirby's tossing an apple into the air, in the complete ending, he already caught it in his mouth.

Fun fact: The soundtracks that play during the cutscenes where Waddle Dee, Adeleine, and King Dedede get possessed by Dark Matter are apparently named “What!”, “Eek!”, and “Woah!!”. Waddle Dee’s soundtrack is “What!”, Adeleine’s is “Eek!”, and King Dedede’s is “Woah!!”. I can only assume that the soundtracks’ names correspond to the reaction the characters have upon seeing Dark Matter.

I love Dark Matter in these cutscenes, with the industrial chords playing over his appearances. Just the way it appears and absorbs/dominates others. I see it as the main Kirby antagonist. I kept playing the game hoping we'd see more of them, but alas.....apart from the very end ones

Yakupup Well technically, there isn’t a main sequel specific to this game as this was the last of the Dark Matter trilogy that started with Kirby’s Dream Land 2. So in terms of connecting a story, there’s no official sequel for this specific part of the story, the other games are just their own individual story.

Search for the 'recorded from original hardware' version. Some graphical effects are missing because of bad N64 emulation, and watching at original resolution and with the correct texture filtering makes the game look as it was originally intended. Besides, the audio doesn't slightly go off-sync.
