Great thing about working at Napa auto parts is I have these bearings at my disposal. I also have bearing pullers and what not here so when ever I have a project I just bring it with me and work on them after hours!
I absolutely love my G3! I replaced the original grey fan which had cracks in it with a new white “Kevlar” fan from eBay and it works great! Can’t wait to see more tests from you with this machine.
Fabulous! But did you know Kirby has never made a Kevlar fan? The older one was Lexan and the newer one is Amodal. People just like saying Kevlar I suppose. 😃
@@SamRickerd @VacLab Fast forward a couple of years and the new Kirby fans are black. I repaired my Aunt's old G3 and that's what I got. My Aunt gave me this machine so it's mine now. I replaced the old fan in my Heritage II Legend about a year and a bit ago and it was a creamy white. I find it interesting on the old Rainbow D4 machines the separator and the spider were the same grey as those old Kirby fans and then the D4 replacement separators turned that same creamy white.
My neighbor is retiring from the Cleveland Kirby facility at the end of this year! Being made in my "back yard" is one of the reasons that getting a kirby is on my "wish list". LOL
