This video was made for the 2021 Critter Valentine's Project! It's meant to be a video of a moment/scene that makes you happy, and watching Kiri moments always makes me happy, so here's a little compilation of some Kiri moments!
This was originally going to be much longer but I've been busy and have "deadlines" to meet so here it is! I know I'm missing some more recent scenes but I thought where I ended it was a sweet ending point.
I need the Mighty Nein to be done saving the world and all so they can go back and visit Kiri :(

I like that when Matt has to mimic the other players' voices as Kiri it sounds pretty close, but when he mimics Fjord his inner McCree comes out and it's spot on

I mean, there was something to reevaluate. Her original phrase was A3 going down to approximately A2. Which is already fairly low for a female, although not that rare. But Matt/Kiri's version went down to about F2 - which is male low-baritone area. That is lower than most males speaking voice, and extremely unusual for a female.

Kiri never mimicked Molly....until the goodbye scene. They just kind of stared at each other and Molly then said "I'm so glad we understand each other. Take care of them" (gesturing to her new family) Kiri then dutifully repeated back "Take care of them" pointing to the Nein. And he did.

For long years, the Kenku were thought to have been annihilated, and it was only when Tharizdun was defeated and chained by the good Ioun near the calamity's end that they were freed. When the gods sealed themselves behind the Divine Gate, the Raven Queen realized what her emissaries had sacrificed to save her. Though the Kenku survived oblivion, they returned as mortals, stripped of all the divine gifts their god had bestowed on them: their voices, their wings, and all memories of their past existence. Bearing Tharizdun's curse of oblivion, the Kenku were reduced to squat beings that could speak only by mimicking the words of others."

Kenku is a MASTER CLASS for a person like Matt who can mimic others borderline perfectly and is very perceptive. I go back to his “stay quiet” mimicing of Travis every month or so. It’s mindblowing.

Matt is the only person I’ve ever seen who’s been able to pull off actual Kenku noises without being annoying or harsh on the ears. Hell, the book says to just describe what sounds they make for that exact purpose. Seeing/hearing it in action is so damn cool.

My headcanon is that Kiri doesn't imitate perfectly, but rather Matt's impressions are what Kiri's impressions sound like because she's still a kid.

I have always wanted to send a letter to the cast with Matt's permission and have it be a letter from kiri telling them how much she misses them. I would also include a set of D20s each one the a different color to represent the cast and include a note that they were lucky stones like the one she helped Caleb find.

haha! i'm glad you liked it. i was a bit shocked myself to not find anything else quite like this video on youtube, hence why i made it. to be honest, it's not really anywhere near a full compilation of kiri moments (i had many more clips that i ended up cutting) but i think it's a fairly nice overview.
