i have listened to this MULTIPLE times. I love Willie J and Kirk. Although i can't relate to their story ..... i feel their story because they have expressed and told it in a way that allows us to walk on this journey with them. I am able to help close friends who are also going through the same situations. Things i never knew..... My heart goes out.....

Those dollas on therapy is showing out in this interview!!!!!! 💯 Kirk has always been a favorite of mine, but even moreso after 2023! I was shocked that this episode is soooo short. I would have thought that the interview with Kirk would have been longer. He has so much that he could talk about. Still this was a good conversation.

Thank you both for being H.O.T. in sharing your journey! Pastor Mike says, "What's not transformed is transferred." We have got to heal from our childhood trauma so that our kids won't. 💙🤍❤️

As a very active birthmother it makes me sad to hear stories about the trauma's of an adoptee since there are not a lot of positive birthparent stories out there. However, hearing this is empowering for me and it is extremely touching. I hope God pours joy, peace, understanding, love and healing in those wounds. I know God it listening and standings by so stay faithful and lean into him.

Forgiveness is always for yourself, not for the other person. Forgive so that you can fully heal. Forgive knowing that you may never receive an apology or acknowledgement, forgive so that you can be free and not harbor hate or ill feelings towards your mother. Releasing the offense is for you to be free to operate and not withhold yourself from healing.

I love this episode❤❤ When I watched Kirk’s documentary it pulled at my heart; it had me crying for his wounded heart. The adoption story is one that many people have experienced and everyone has their own story to tell. What was most hurtful was the denial that his mother had even after the DNA of two test said the same. Imagine knowing who your father is or as I like to say for myself ( the person that assisted in giving me life) and they are never a part of your life. Now I always say I was fine without him because I had my mother and she showed all her children love, on the flip side my brother on the other hand had the need to be acknowledged by him. Much prayers to the both of you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thanks for this interview. It was such a blessing. Being a former foster care and adoption social worker, I have seen and witnessed alot of hurt that children go through and also have been in the court room on both sides. I also have had the privilege of meeting Kirk years ago in person. He is one of the most down to earth people, I have ever met. God bless you both. Keep advocating for foster care and adoption.
