It's immaculate until he doesn't. They slip all the time, even with all the training it's highly luck based whether the route goes perfectly or not at all.

The fact that you are a trad climber is not relevant, you are pointing it like you are saying "I'm better than you but I concede my appreciation to you". By the way I dislike speed climbing to, but even someone who never touched the rock would understand that this performance is out of the world. And maybe this guy is better than you and me also on the rock.

well, in sprinting and marathons you still have the same goal - do it the fastest and the same way - running. in classical climbing sure it's about the top but how you get there is REALLY important and trad climbers like to see the technique, see new routs every time, observe how the climber approaches a problem. it's like magic! this is impressive still, obviously, but it doesn't have the same element as lead and bouldering so climbers do not like it and find it stupid because it has lost its meaning, doesn't seem like climbing at all. actually has more to in common with 100m sprint than climbing ;) (and now I noticed how his body has a different shape and composition, nothing like top lead/bouldering climbers, looks very much like a sprinter :p)

Agreed, if they are treated separate categories. The hate was for when they were lumped together in the olympics. In your analogy, that’s like having a medal for combined marathon and sprint but not for either individually.

@@szpaqus , You know climb mean to the top what ever the method. And speed climb has its own difficulties. If you hate speed climb you must hate 100 m sprint to. Because the idea is just the same. But in Olympic, sprint is the most famous one and marathons runners don't hate sprinters. The goals of marathon and sprinting is same, but they respect each other despite in different technique, different difficulties and different categories. But why some classic climbers hate speed climb? Do they underestimating them for cannot climb in classic way? But i believe classic climbers can't climb straight up as fast as speed climbers tho. Just respect all of them as a fans, and i hope every climbers is respect each other too because they have their own specialist.

I'm actually saw the world record from 7 years ago first. It was 5,6 seconds. And i intrigued to this category and just started watching the 2022 season. And my mind just blowing seeing the world record is 5,2 sec, 5,1 sec, 5,09 sec, 5,04 sec and now 5,009 sec? I still believe if under 5 seconds is impossible tho, but i hope someone made it in next few years.

Semua cabang punya hak yg sama, sepak bola juga perlu dikembangkan, amerika pun tetep ikut Piala Dunia meski disana sepakbola gak populer dan dianggap sepele, tapi sepak bola juga punya penggemar sendiri dan punya atlet sendiri yg sama2 perlu dukungan semua pihak. Kalo cuma Memprioritaskan satu atau dua cabang, maka kita akan tertinggal jauh di cabang lain. Itu malah menunjukkan ketidakadilan dan ketidakpedulian pemerintah terhadap olahraga Indonesia.

Masalah nya hampir semua olahraga tidak dapat prioritas dari negara. Kalau anda katakan sepakbola di prioritaskan, aku justru melihat timnas dieksploitasi. Negara tidak memberi pelatihan sejak dini, begitu masuk timnas mereka dapat tekanan besar buat memberikan prestasi. Bahkan itu harus dicapai dengan waktu latihan yg singkat, serta jadwal yg sangat padat. Bukan kah itu terlihat eksploitasi? Satu² nya cabor yg ada pelatihan sejak dini hanya badminton, itu juga dilakukan oleh PB Djarum. Dimana itu swasta, bukan milik negara. Itu juga masih disibukkan oleh isu yg dihembuskan Komnas HAM

Ngapain diprioritaskan, kan ga bisa taruhan. Coba perhatikan, di cabor yang ga bisa taruhan apa ada perhatian lebih. Ga ada, ya seadanya saja. Bulutangkis, Angkat Besi, Lari, Pencak Silat, Senam, dll. Ya seadanya saja yang penting jalan aja, bisa ikut turnamen saja. Makanya makin ke sini makin turun perolehan emas kita kalau di event besar. Kalau Sepak Bola, nanti dulu. Blow up di media, sponsor dana sini. Soalnya bisnis bos, bisa dapat saweran judi pula.
