Yeah... And two things. One: Here in 2019 is 42 years; And two: His voice (Paul Stanley's voice) is incredible, and i really love it! He never give up of rock...And i inspired on him cause that, and i make guitar class to play KISS before and after KISS over.
Paul can still rock this since it’s just a song where he doesn’t need to sing clear notes he just needs to scream His voice can break and crack as much as it wants and it just adds to it
Fantastic performance! Not usually a huge KISS fan but this kicks and they rock it solid! Crowd is lame and docile (except the dudes at 1:21) Not just this show but all live music in general; it's too bad more people don't spend their time enjoying a performance, really take in and rocking' along rather than removing themselves to film it or watch it all behind a screen. I know people will say "well then you can't watch it on youtube" Maybe filming/posting should be up to the bands' PR crew. ...don't just capture the moment when you can live it....
I remember hearing it on the radio in the supermarket and standing next to a speaker waiting for the DJ to tell me what the song was. Yep, sure enough it was a new Kiss song and I thought it was great, they're back!
I rode the highway to heartache I took a trip on the ship of fools, woah yeah! And I paid the price to have my way Cause money makes the rules, yeah! Sing it! Lay down! I'm looking through ya' Stay down! You got what you should Pay now! All that you never would, it feels good! Hell or hallelujah! No matter what you do, I'm running through ya' Yeah! You said that love's never lasting We surrender our hearts to lose, yeah! Time's up there's nobody askin' This time I get to choose! Lemme hear ya! Lay down! Don't say you're sorry Stay down! I knew that you would Pay now! Don't say you're misunderstood, it feels good Hell or hallelujah! No matter what you do, I'm running through ya' One more time! Hell or hallelujah! C'mon c'mon The rest is up to you It's overdue ya Listen! One heart is breakin' One chance I'm takin' No lies, no fakin' Goodbye feels like it should! It feels good! Oh yeah Hey, one heart is breakin' One chance I'm takin' No lies no fakin' Goodbye feels like it should! Yeah, let me tell you how it feels It feels good! Hell or hallelujah! No matter what you do, I'm running through ya' C'mon c'mon Hell or hallelujah! The rest is up to you It's overdue ya Yeah
I do agree that Paul sounds better in the record than live, but I do give him an age discount. I respect that, to be still rocking at his age, not everyone can handle that. I mean, I don't hear a lot of people bitching about Brian Johnson and the change in his voice over the years is much more evident.
for their age, this is still a pretty good performance. Paul's voice is a little bit off key but this is comprehensible considering what he's been doing this for 40 years.
I seen KISS in 1997 in Hamilton,Ontario,Canada on their reunion tour with the original members & it's still the loudest concert I've been to & I've been to a lot of heavy loud concerts like Deicide,Cannibal Corpse,Ozzy,Obituary,Megadeth,Children of Bodom,Amon Amarth,& that KISS concert my ears were ringing for a few days! I'm going to see KISS again in London,Ontario on July 27th@ Budweiser Gardens because "I Love It Loud"!
Was hoping the original/full footage would be here including Dave's intro and the outro. After the song, Dave came over and stood with them and talked a minute. Gene kept trying to lick Dave's ear. :)
The new material is written for Paul's deteriorated voice. They seemed to have dropped the tuning on the older stuff to match Paul's current voice, which is why the older stuff sounds kind of different.
@J Blob - Yeah, it's time to hang it up when you can't even sing your new material live much less the classics. Paul's voice is shot to pieces now...sad indeed.
it's such a shame, because I actually quite like the studio version of this song. Paul's voice is so shot, it's not even funny anymore. although, he's still got the moves! woo! ;-)
For the person known as J Blob, lay off. After 40 years of singing rock and metal, it's only natural for Paul's voice to break down. Surgery on his vocal cords can only do so much. And while it's sad to see his voice going, he's still singing. How do you know this wasn't after he got his vocal cords operated on, hmm? Lay off though!
