I've been collecting for 38 year's. I have a pretty good sized collection. Watching this video blew me away. I dont have my collection for bragging rights. I have it because it I enjoy the hunt & always finding new things. I looked for my bally pinball machine for 22 years. I just picked up a stern le pinball machine about a week ago. That's one thing I thought I would never own. I found at a good price & jumped on it. Now I'll be paying on it for the next 5 years. I started collecting the belt buckles from 73 - 83. They are so hard to find. I'm proud of my collection it means a lot to me. Most people see wall to wall kiss. I look at it & see 38 years of searching & collecting one piece at a time. I see my kiss bally pinball machine. I think of spending time saturdays with my Dad at the arcade when I was about 8 years old. We'd go down have lunch than I'd play the kiss pinball & my Dad would play the harley davison pinball. My Dad & I drove thousands of miles, searched day, weeks, years looking for a kiss pinball machine. Everytime We'd make arrangments somebody would buy it before we got there. My Dad died 1-2-22. When I found my bally it helped me mourn my Dad. I just thought how proud he would be & we finally found one.
Going to Vegas for my birthday this month oh yeah baby got to have to stop by the KISS museum no doubt about it being that I’m part of the kiss army forever. Going to see him three times this year. You better fucking believe that last time ever
Long time kiss fan. I got into kiss about the same time that I got my first Atari 2600. My first kiss album was dynasty and me and my friend from down the street would play videogames and listen to kiss, man great memories. Then I got love gun, kiss alive ect then started getting into other bands like maiden, priest, Ozzy but kiss always have a special place for me especially ace Frehley my first guitar hero.
I only got into their music within the past few years. I know their hits and they had a bunch. I never would have known that was there in Vegas had I not watched the video. Very cool. When it comes to licensing and marketing, Gene could write the book. And for all I know, maybe he did.
Funnily enough the kiss toothtunes were my first introduction to kiss my mum bought me 1 toothbrush when I was a kid than after I heard "rock and roll all night" on that toothbrush I started listening to there other stuff and than I was hooked
Ya gene would have the ultimate collection and Vegas would be the best place to have it way cool video thx for sharing just wondering what it cost to check the museum out with the golf ?
I was young in the make up period, so I only knew them for their make up. I got into them in their non make up period. Of course I went back and discovered their make up era music. These are off the top of my head but best non make up songs, lick it up, heavens on fire, unholy. Best make up era Detroit rock city, god of thunder, shock me, hard luck women (I put a song from each member).
Pretty cool stuff I was there a few years ago looks like it got alittle bigger with Gene's collection added... 🤟🤟🤟.... PS .... Your forgot the most important thing the Gene Simmons (TONGUE) VW 😁 I have this place posted on my RU-vid page as well ..
Sorry man, but as a museum exhibit designer for over 25 years, this video shows no resemblance to a museum. It looks like a road-side attraction at best. Happy the fans enjoy it, but the designer screwed Kiss out of something that could’ve been truly mind-blowing. wtf??
Hey Brett I got the omnibus and pats nes and snes books. You seemed like you took reviews from old game informer magz or njntendo power books etc. You weren't with our group of kids so you don't know the feeling of those systems you were 22 when NES released so I don't see how you could do an in depth and present like you grew up on it u played 2600 in 76 not.86 Buddy sorry I just think.Pats is alot better and more Authentic. Not trolling just being honest. Hope you don't block me for telling my opinions
I quoted old magazines in the books to provide context and a variety of opinions. Readers love these “notable quotables.” I was 18 when the NES was test marketed in the US and 19 when it was released nationwide. I got mine when I was 20 and have been playing it ever since. I’m a huge fan of the console. I’m fine with you preferring his books. You’re welcome to your opinions.
@@dicktracy9527 You might like my 100 Greatest books better than the Omnibus books. Here's a chapter you can download from the one coming out later this year. Deep dive on Contra: www.patreon.com/posts/contra-book-100-67581423
Kiss is ok, I find Gene Simmons to be absurd and ignorant AF, and his fellow band members don’t disagree. Always been a fan of Ace and Peter Criss though.
