Absolutely stunning, Mark! It certainly does look like a seahorse, and the colors are absolutely amazing!! I so enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot about mindfulness from you. Thank you for being such a good teacher and artist.
I've watched you from your first video. Honestly you've come so far. I'm an artist, and love to watch other people create & give me inspiration. I watch you particularly because you have such a gentle, relaxed tone to your videos. Your voice is soothing, and your love of art is palpable. I love watching your progression! Love from Wales xx
Wow what a lovely message to open on a sunny Sunday morning. Thank you so much. Your words of encouragement and support means I much and you’ve really made my day. Thank you for your kindness 😊🙏
Mark from a distance it does resemble a sea horse, but when you gave us that close up as your were moving the camera down it reminded of me of fresh sea water flowing threw lava after it had cooled some, bringing life back to a land that was burnt. The gold being the last bit of hot lava, this is marvelous no matter what anyone sees it as. I guess that is how art is. I want to thankyou for reminding me art is to be fun, relaxing and a tool to help us unwind. You are quite a artist and should be very proud of this creation. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your time and talent with us.
Carol - thank you so much for such a thoughtful and lovely comment. Your feedback really means a lot and I love your interpretation of this piece. Thank you 😊
To me it looks really very beautifully spread out...The colours have also mixed beautifully, the dash of gold stands out and the different blue is Gorgeous.
I like this piece as well Mark. And yes the gold makes it pop a bit. I don't see a seahorse but I see other things. I love that the whole thing didn't cell. I am not fond of cells and this is a perfect of cells/non cells. Thank you for sharing, you're an inspiration for sure. I will be back.
Hello I am so sorry if this sounds weirds but you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and I like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. If it's okay with you I'd love to be friends
When I saw what you were saying about the s pour I realized I was going to much. But of course now you just gave me another idea for a new pour. You're the Best
Oh my god… the struggle is real!!! I have a very finite amount of workspace as well, and I’m very limited in how large a canvas I can work on. 30in is my maximum width. I have no room to tilt either. But, you do such a good job illustrating that, while difficult, working with larger canvases in smaller spaces might be difficult, but not impossible. Beautifully done. 🐻
Stunningly beautiful, I'm just about to dip my toe into the world of acrylic pouring so am a little nervous on mixing ratios but this is a great inspiration. I bought a bunch of Amsterdam acrylic paints so I take it they are a good brand if you are using them 👍
Thanks so much Paul. Yes Amsterdam are great paints and have a great binder so can be watered down without breaking up. Aim for initially one part paint to 0.75 part water and then you can always add a bit more water if you’re doing a more fluid technique like Dutch Pour. Have fun and I hope you enjoy it. Huge warning though…. It gets very addictive haha
@@Flashpg so pouring medium is a liquid you add to your paint to allow it to flow and become more fluid. People use a range of medium and also make their own. I did do a video on how you can make your own when starting out to help get a feel for techniques. People have various ratios but if you use pouring medium I’d start with 1 part paint to 3 parts pouring medium (some people go to 4 parts). Water can be added to make it very fluid (but don’t over water as you’ll break the binders in your paint and it will break up and split).
I sort of see a seahorse; however, what I really see is a beautiful painting with outstanding colors. The creation has a lot of rhythm and I really like it. Take good care. Denise ❤
Mark with your close up, I saw so many faces! It look like a bunch of characters having an interesting conversation! I suppose everybody will see different things. Such a beautiful creation

Mark, I really like this piece. It seemed like the black base was swallowing up the colors as you blew them out. I have had that problem before so I switched my black to Amsterdam Oxide Black from Artist'sLoft ready flow black. I adore the colors you chose, the blues and gold are gorgeous together. Beautiful painting.
Glad I subscribed as your work is incredible!! Beautiful outcome!! Have you thought about getting the world's smallest blower and attachments from Tracie Reed? That tool to me is so wonderful for dutch pours to help bring out so much more detail. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you so much Leah! So kind of you to provide such kind feedback. Welcome and hope you enjoy what you see. Not sure if that blower is available here in the UK but will check it out 🙏😊
Just wonderful. I am new to this and started watching your video out of curiosity. The first line did not attract me at all but I thought I'll stick around to see the rest. Stunning. I really appreciate that your video is void of senseless comments unlike others. Together with the soothing music in the background, it allows the audience to concentrate on your art and talent. My heartfelt admiration sir.
Wow! Edward, thank you so much for your kind comment. I’m glad you stuck around to see the process. I’m I’m happy to hear you like my approach when creating. Thank you again 😊
You have come a long way. I watched your videos from when you 1st started out and were quite nervous, now I see a confident professional who does lovely work.
Lovely piece Mark...I love the flow😁 my work space is limited too. What I find hard is my table height. I think I will have to ask Santa for a higher one😅😘
Hey Mark, it really looks very much like a sea horse, but I also see all types of faces everywhere. The colours look "cool and fresh", but are not cold because you used some gold. It's like fresh running water in the sun. The details are stunning. I even saw a small black heart. It's a very beautiful piece and I can imagine that such a big canvas is quite a challenge. Good job 🖒💖
Your paintings are phenomenaly stunning I have a question for you and I hope you can get back to me about it . The question is I have a little trouble getting my consistency of paint right for the dutch pour do you have any tip or tricks I can use to make it better
Hey Janice. Thank you so much for your kind words of support and encouragement. For Dutch pour consistency I make mine very fluid. I use a good brand of paint to allow me to water down the paint to a ratio of 1 part paint to 1 part water. Good paint will allow this as it will have good binder. When you test your paint you won’t see a mound upon a mound in the cup, it will be very fluid and disappear. Also do a drip test to ensure all your colours are the same fluidity. That might help. Getting the base right is key and ensuring it’s fluid enough to blow with the hair dryer - does that help? 🤞🏻
