Yeah! All decked out and ready to Kiss! Killer red wax copy of Dressed to Kill! Have been hunting for a red wax copy of Alive forever! Awesome signed copies of both Alive's. Real schmeal, I'm with you, good enough. Some kickass singles and picture discs, the Kiss collectibles are endless! Nice '80 boot, you covered just about all bases that anyone can be expected to. 42 well spent minutes! - Lj
Thanks Lj. Couldn't believe it when I finished this video and it was 42 minutes. Haha! Took 24 hours to upload in HD! I'd love to find more of those UK colored vinyl pressings. They are very cool. I'll have to do a CD KISS collection video in the future. I have a ton of those as well including singles and bootlegs.
Hey Scott, Love your Kiss Collection just going through some videos and thought I would watch yours again. Awesome video and cool collection thanks for sharing Scott. What was playing in the background during the video ? Take care. Jeff
So glad you enjoyed it. I'll need to do a KISS video on CDs and merchandise as well. However, will probably do a video of my Ted Nugent and Aerosmith vinyl collections first.
That is an Awesome Glow in the dark Gatefold copy of Creatures of the Night. I have never seen that before. I Love KISS! They are my Favorite band ever. I just need Hot in the shade on Vinyl and my KISS Collection will be complete.
Now that is one impressive collection. I have a few things I would like to point out to you. Your German Kiss Alive II has USA inserts. Take them out of the German copy & put them in the second USA copy you have with no inserts. You are correct that the Germany lp only came with white sleeves. To rest your mind at ease, and anyone else who watches this video, I would consider myself as an authority on Kiss autographs, as I have tons of items signed by each member of the band, and the autographs on your Alive II are 100% Legit. No question about it! Your Double Platinum is beautiful, usually found with TONS of ringware! Did you know the Unmasked poster is the Dynasty poster done in cartoon? Exact same pose by Ace, Peter & Paul, Gene is slightly different. Thanks so much for filming this video of your collection for me Scott. I was on the edge of my seat during every second of this video, as you know, this is my favourite band, and the biggest part of my collection. Rock On Brother!
Thanks John. I'll correct the Alive II German pressing and put the stuff in my extra US pressing. Thanks for verifying the autographs. I always knew and trusted Morgan that they were real but it's nice to have an expert verify it.
Huge effort Scott, much appreciated. I unloaded most of my kiss collection around 2008. but held onto some. Love the concert story. My first Kiss show was in Toronto @ the Gardens, Lick it Up with Accept. I have a feeling a lot of the stuff u showed on vinyl u also have on cd? am I right? plus memorabilia, your kiss collection is huge dude, lol you are just humble about it . cheers bro.
Oh yes, my KISS CD collection is massive and bigger than my vinyl collection. I worry sometimes showing collections like this that people will see it as boasting and gloating, but I really want it to come across as 'sharing'. I love watching other people show their collections and I love sharing my collection as well. We're all just music geeks.
Scott, I have a question about a copy of Ace Frehley's 1978 album I recently acquired: It says its a promo release, and the actual vinyl itself has serial numbers etched into it. There aren't too many differences, but one more noticeable is that in "New York Groove" Ace's vocals are different. The official release kinda has that distorted sound(only way I can describe it) but on my copy its much faster, and has cleaner vocals. Its very odd and if you have any insight on it, I'd be thankful for your time
Very good collection! I just got into collecting vinyls around December of 2014 and my goal is to get every Kiss record on vinyl and I must ask, why is that everyone wants the original pressing/as old as they can go instead of getting the re issues? Also is there any pressing of Carnival of Souls (1997) anywhere that you know of? Word on the street is its very hard to find
Mitch Arnholt Any "original" pressing of Carnival of Souls, as I understand it, are bootlegs and not official. However they do exist. I don't know why collector's prefer the original pressings. Perhaps it because they have the age that a re-issue doesn't have. Many times the re-issues sound better as they are pressed on a higher quality vinyl.
Wow you have an amazing collection of kiss those are some real nice pressings.... I'm just starting out I have so many to get alive 1 and Alive 2 or my next ones I need!! Great videos and collection bro!! Looking forward to more vinyl updates!! -Dennis
Steelxtreme 421 Thanks you. My collection is decent. I am always on the lookout for KISS vinyl. I've also done collection videos on Twisted Sister, Aerosmith, At War, Raven, and others if you are interested. Glad you enjoyed this video and thanks for subscribing.
Nice job sir!! Pretty impressive!!! Interesting note the first LP by Kiss in my house growing up was Kiss Alive and my brother ended up being the Kiss collector back then but his copy had one label blue and one the second beinge label which i thought was interesting. I remember when I was like 12-13 I used to have an air band with my brother and older neighbor down the street and we would do concerts in his living room singing and air guitaring to the first three Kiss LP's ah the old daze!!!
Wow! That's weird. Did he buy the album new or used? When I was a kid we did concerts on the big red picnic table in our back yard, blasting Alive on the boom box and acting like Kiss. I guess most kids our age did that. Haha!
Nice. I have all of the KISS albums (except for Monster) on either CD or vinyl. You are right about the coolness of the art on RnR Over. I have the pic of Gene from that album tattooed on my right leg! I actually need to get it touched up as the ink is fading in a few spots. I had it done back in 90 or 91.
Hi Scott... Boy!.. this was a long one. But watched it to the end anyway. I like KISS, but I'm not as huge a collector of them as some of you guys in the VC. I do want to collect all their albums. But I'm not in a hurry :). And I'm fine with just having one copy of each album. I think I like the "Creatures Of The Night" album the most. Great sound and heavy tracks. Just like you said. Oh! and congratulations with the Black Beauty :)
Thank you for doing this. I love your take on Alive 1. I totally agree. It is my fav. KISS album of All-Time , and for sure in my Top 3 Live Albums of All-time.
Scott Waters When the BC Lions won the Grey Cup, I wanted to play the biggest party album of I could think of on myradio show. So, KISS Alive was it! Let Me Go Rock n Roll on that album is one of the best songs in Rock History.
That was an EPIC video, Scott! Always good to see KISS stuff in the VC. I have tried to collect Kiss albums since 1983 but I still don't have as impressive collection as you have. By that I mean that you have their 70s stuff with all the inserts and goodies. Those who have their debut album without "Kissin' Time" are lucky ones! :) For some reason I still don't have "Smashes, Trashes & Hits". Weird! Thanks for making this epic video, Jarkko / MyVinylBar
Well the hunt of finding those gems is part of the fun. Nothing like looking trhough stacks of vinyl and running across that rare KISS record you've been looking for. Haha! Smashes, Trashes isn't hard to find, but it's probably the one album that I listen to the least. The new songs aren't great and the others are all on other albums.
Thanks Scott...I parted with Kiss after the 70's.....nice to see your breakdown and hear the insights. Great job. Enjoy that AZ warmth.....from blizzarding CT, Steve
Thanks for watching Steve. Stay warm. We are actually suppose to get some snow this weekend. One of the reasons I move to the Southwest was to get away from the East Coast winters.
Question... I starting collecting vinyl a few months ago... starting with Kiss...& it was awesome at first holding the records I had as a kid again... but now it's getting frustrating... sellers inaccurately list albums... so excitement turns into frustration when you open the package & see the actual condition...& now feels like I'm collecting junk...lol... how did you build your Kiss collection, is this how collecting is, & would it be better to just buy the 180g reissues to cut down on the frustration? Thank you.
Matt Morbidity My Kiss collection started years before the vinyl resurgence. I’d just go with the 180 gram reissues. They look good. They sound fantastic. I also recommend reading any negative or neutral reviews on a seller. I have much less issues with Discogs sellers than I do with eBay sellers.
Cool! I have alot of KISS cassettes I got hold of. I used to have a ton of cassettes but they got abandoned and misplaced after moving. I just started getting back into cassettes. Since I have no room for Vinyl, I like to collect cassettes. It is hard to come by good cassettes with great sounding quality, but managed to find some great finds at my local thrift shops and even eBay.
Nice collection. My kiss collection is starting to grow a lot. Have you ever thought about doing a Motörhead or AC/DC vinyl collection video if you have any?
Hi.Scott. Great kiss kollection you got, lots of great kiss items in your collection:-) Are you listening to the norwegian kiss tribute cd in background? That tribute record has cover painting by Ken Kelly, the man who made Destroyer and love gun:-) God bless:-) CHEERS!!
Hey Mr. Moe. Yes, that is the Norwegian Kiss tribute CD. The cover on it is killer! I thought maybe if I played the tribute CD I wouldn't get a copyright tag from RU-vid but they still tagged my video.
Killer collection Scott. I really need to get the recent presses of Alive III and the Millennium Concert on vinyl. John also asked me to do video, so I will be showing my collection tomorrow.
Haha! I know, I heard you mention that he asked you to do a KISS video in your last video. Looking forward to that. I still need to get the Carnival of Souls re-issue on vinyl.
Did you ever get that Casablanca 45 box set? It was all the 45s Casablanca put out. The dolor 45s was in color vinyl and they had over sea 45 sleeves to. It's a nice box set.
@@nolifetilmetal1 my parents got me it for Christmas when that year it came out. After my dad died of cancer I sold everything. All my vinyl music I sold. I lost interest in everything as someone would after dealing and seeing that. But I got back into Vinyl again year or 2 ago. I sent a invite on FB Anthony is me lol. I love your pop metal hair metal vids. I watched one and looked them up and found alot of stuff I like.
Loved to see your KISS collection. I never saw that bootleg on vinyl. I have it on cd. Also the maxi from CREATURES looks good. Great to see all those diferent pressings
Thanks René. I think your KISS vinyl collection is a little more impressive. I still have a massive Kiss CD collection to show including singles and bootlegs.
Scott Waters I can hardly wait. Yes, i have a lot of stuff too but this guy from Facebook is totaly crazy. He is from BArcelona. Check out some photos:facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008995299114
Another great video, Scott. Thank you. KISS has always been my favorite band. I discovered them in '76 after Destroyer was released. I was in fifth grade. However, I didn't get to see them live until the Asylum Tour in '86. To me, Asylum was a great album then, and it's a great album now. I love it. A lot of people, including KISS themselves, put down their eighties albums, but I thought they were great. The KISS Symphony Alive IV album is one of the six exclusives in the KISSteria box set, which I do own btw, so it will not be re-issued by Universal. At least not on black vinyl. If it is, I want my money back! ;)
No wonder I cant find any KISS records! Only seen them twice in my life, would love to see them again! You sure have a large selection of CD's, about how many you have there? Thanks for Sharing!
I'm fairly sure I have over 10,000 CDs. Been collecting those since the late 80's. Records I would have an obnoxious number like that too except I sold all my vinyl in 1990 and only started buying it all back in the late 20 years.
Thanks Rick. I'm still looking for Carnival of Souls, a better copy of Elder and the 1985 Creatures of the Night. The Symphony 4 and Sonic Boom are a bit hard to come by at the moment. Haven't seen you post a video in a while. How you doing?
Snowblind single? Is that the one I sent you that you said you had picture sleeve for? Either way Awesome collection there. I have 3 vinyls 2 cds and 1 cassette maybe a few singles with out original sleeves. LOL I don't have much for Kiss.
Hey James. Yes, that is the single you sent me that I had the extra Casablanca sleeve for. Well I can certainly keep an eye open for more KISS for you. :-)
Hi just for something for you to research, i heard that on the Rock N Roll Over album there is a vision with a teardrop on Pauls eye very hard to find . What you do you know about it also i have a copy of Kiss the Singles LP Austarlian release only interested.
+Paulie V Very cool. I'd love to see that Australian pressing. As for the teardrop record, yes, I've seen it. A buddy of mine owns it. It's a very cool misprint with a CYAN spot from the printing press that lands perfectly under Paul's eye and looks like a teardrop. Very cool, even if it was a mistake.
Kiss Destroyer Thank you. CptHowdy's KISS collection trumps mine by about 20x. Here's the link. Make sure you tell Capt. that Scott said HI! ru-vid.com/show-UCTYpIKIYJjU4IFAQglTvMNQ
IMO Kiss is a band that I have to listen to visually. So I got a modest collection of DVDs. Kissology Vol 1, 2, &3 are great. So is Exposed and Kiss Konfidential with their MTV videos etc. My best one is a Brazilian edition KISS Animalize Live.
I just put sleeves on all my vinyl the other day I had more Kiss vinyl than I thought, I believe I bought most of it from Sentinel Steel he had a lot of it for 2 or 3 bucks.
Well there is enough Kiss stuff to collect. It's crazy how many different pressings of KISS vinyl there is. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
How about ManOWar collection next one.I had into the glory ride on 12" real good. Really kewl collection never was a big kiss fan like sum songs.never seen sum of those covers
also sonic boom came out on 5 colours, blue, red, green, purple and black- i have all four still sealed in frames- still wish i bought the black one. Now they go for $130 or more
Liam Dyer Cool! I only bought the one. I just can't own different copies just for the color of the vinyl. I'm obsessed but I try to contain my collecting obsession at least slightly. Haha! I'll PM you tonight.
In aussie u could get 3 different double platinum albums all same song but photos and covers different and 2 different best of the solo albums different covers and different songs cool vid 1980 in Australia kiss was all we cared about
Amen my name is Johnny I live right here in Bessemer Alabama I've been a big kiss and all my life man I seen kiss by 4 or 5:00 6 times the first Birmingham I think kisses at Birmingham Alabama by 4565 man I said kiss morning everybody has I've been a kiss fan all my life man I seen kiss I'm a big kiss fan man I'm a big kiss for my brother my name is Johnny man I live right here in Bessemer Alabama I think kiss by Taylor Swift about 4 or 5 times
I'm sure you can at least respect their influence on the heavy metal scene in general. There were many bands whose members started their love affair with heavy music because of Kiss.
My mother actually grew up the next town over to where "Rock & Roll Over" was recorded. She would have been 4 years old at that time. Crazy world. Love that album, Kiss is awesome. Awesome collection by the way.

Scott Waters I have a copy of "Animalize" now. if you have an extra copy of any of the kiss stuff , I'm interested and I still have the "Peter Criss " for trade. if not its all good brother! just trying to "rebuild" my kiss vinyl collection after my disastrous move (long story)!😄😄😄
This video was recorded before the re-issues I think. I did have Carnival of Souls on CD at that point. I now have it on vinyl as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm 21 just got back into Kiss. They were my first concert back in 2004. I've had 4 CDs for the longest time and had periods of time for getting back into them. I just bought 6 more CDs and today is my bday so hope to help get a Kiss LP later today haha.
kinda strange but i have been a fan since the 70's also. I like the cool blue label albums. I was disappointed when the changed the label art work. lol cheers man are you on Facebook?
