The latest plastic Napoleonic offering in 28mm. I received these upon release, but haven't had time until now to get to grips with them. What fine figures they are, another success for the Perry brothers - particularly as the heads all face out of the sprues!

Thank you, I wasn’t sure I’d really gone in to that much detail to be honest so it’s nice that people are getting some value. Intermittent service has resumed…for now.

I think the fusiliers in shako might be useful as some German infantry, such Wurtemburgers in 1813.

Thanks for the detailed review! It is very useful. The Poles from Perrys took me by surprise because I was not following their previews but it was a welcome surprise indeed knowing quality of their work. I am wondering if the models (skirmish/elite box) can be used with some changes for Imperialis Militia in the Horus Heresy. I'll have to do some research about uses of Perry's infantry for 40/30k. I guess as a Pole I should correct your pronounciation so here it goes - 'czapka' is more lika 'chaapka' - all those cz, sz, rz, dz - s represent single sounds and are super useful to torture foreigners. Personally I like the 'rogatywka' i.e. the horned cap term much more because current POL military still uses this term and the cap (in a different form of course) and it represents some continuation in uniforms starting from early czapkas/rogatywkas from the XVIIIth century. I think there’s definitely potential to use them for 30K, they are quite tall figures though so I’m not definitely sure how well they would scale with the Astartes. On the pronunciation, it hadn’t crossed my mind that I’ve always said czapka like that but if I say Czech Republic then I sound it ‘ch’. So I’ll endeavour to remember in future!

@@thelastbattalion3509 Thanks for the opinion. I guess my guys will fight harder because in headgear they will feel bigger and not afraid of those pesky Astartes. 'Transhuman dread? Who heard about that?' I'll check your other reviews. BTW I really like David Gallagher's style and I am glad he prepared covers art for these boxes.

beautiful figures i am lost as a beginner as to how to place them on sprues two different types of sprues in the two different types.

@@thelastbattalion3509 no i understand that. How many men make up a battalion division? do i use individual sprues which came with one box or the rect. sprues which came with the other box?
