Today a quick look at my Marder I so I don't feel bad finishing it before I review it.

Can't go wrong with Tamiya kits especially with its armor series ones. Tamiya produces the best military models in my opinion . Fit great or nearly perfect fit , not too many unnecessary parts ( cluttered)as many Chinese manufacturers ( Takom, Dragon, Trumpeter, Border...etc) , simple yet detailed, easy to follow instructions, and the best box art.

Yes Tamiya still has the best box art, but Border, Takom and even Airfix 1/35 all have stunning box art…

It's a fun kit. No issues, as to be expected from Tamiya, especially with their newer kits.

Thanks a million for another excellent review Adam, that 'kit review' opening is just perfect as I continue blissing out in my hotel after a mind-blowing day at Bovington for Tankfest. Cheers

I built this kit when it was released. Very good build, typical Tamiya kit. Only one thing that I changed was transport muzzle brake covered with canvas, because two part muzzle brake provided with the kit required too much work

You're back with a vengeance! Thanks for giving us a look at the kit, I like the Marder series but I haven't built one yet. Those figures do look good and with many of the better plastic figures still hard to get it's nice that Tamiya includes a couple with the kit.

I already built all three of Panda's kits based on the Lorraine chassis, but it was interesting to see Tamiya's take. I feel safe in assuming Tamiya's was a much easier go of it, seeing as the ammo bin in Panda's was fiddly strips of PE as were a number of other bits that were a PITA. Fortunately though I got the edition with metal tracks so was spared having to use the individual links off the sprues.

Built this a year or so ago. Goes together just as well as you'd think. The ejector pin marks on the hull sides are as frustrating as they are baffling. Cant help but think Tamiya should be better than that. There must be a very good technical reason as I have seen the same thing in more than one recent Tamiya kit. The tracks are apparently backwards, a result of Tamiya faithfully reproducing a museum example.

I'm going to go Google the heck out of the tracks. I assume it will be a milk run. I did the suspension today. Beautiful.

What kind of boiler plate ass comment is that?

The kind of comment when you don't reply to my detailed comment in the JP IV comparison 😂

Well glad to see you back my friend it's been awhile ✌️ love that kit. I do wish the radio had a little more detail. How's the family? And God bless 👍👍

Thank you for the quick review of another Tamiya kit !.🙏 Unlike the short ammo like Kwk 40 or Stuk 40, handling and storage of those long Pak 40 ammo might have been difficult in such a limited space of fighting compartment.🤔

Hi Adam Great review as usual mate! I’m thinking that I might even add it to the ever growing stash pile…. As much as I hate them, I’ve had a recent resurgence on Dragon kits! Fark I just love the pain, but I want to do a Normandy diorama which that kit will do just nicely as a KO vehicle! Thanks for your review ❤😊
