I like these medium-large videos in which you can show us how to "play" with these little things. Would like to ask you what do you think is the best way to start creating my own pieces? subdiv in MODO or zbrush for this? I have a medium level of both but never tried before to create my own kitbash meshes.
Basically, yeah. :) However you create meshes will be fine. My suggestion would be to go through a few prop projects and start saving out the bits that you like. Bolts or deco pieces or whatever else. After awhile, you'll have a handy little library built up.
*Help Please , First of all thanks for making these videos. I want to understand how to divide or isolate parts of a blocked model in modo. So that i can independently work on piece by piece of a whole model. In this case i am modeling a Sci fi rover. And at times it becomes messy to work on whole body. I want to isolate each parts and work them out. Thank you. If you have time please do reply and when you do it will be helpful to let me know the tools used and how to navigate , sorry i am new to modo.
@@MegaKillout Unfortunately, I'm not sure to tell you. I don't really do what you're doing, nor do I understand the internals of the FBX import/export pipeline. Maybe ask on the Foundry forums?
@@WarrenMarshallBiz nope... Maybe you have some parts you design before hand but generally working from mostly scratch... People can tell if it's just junk smashed into other junk... Artists can anyway...
@@WarrenMarshallBiz let me put it this way... Kitbashing requires little effort, skill or time... Anyone can do it... If a seasoned Pro was to bother Kitbashing do you think a noobs kitbash would look anywhere near as good?
