Kitchen Angel
• 1 pot square potholder
• 1 dishcloth
• 1 dish towel
• 2 small, clear rubber bands (hair ties)
• 2 24” lengths ribbon
1. Place potholder down with loop at top and the side you want forward facing up. Take 1 length of ribbon and slide it under the potholder and through the loop so it is lying vertically. Scrunch the potholder from top to bottom in center and tie tightly with the ribbon, double knotting for strength. This creates the wings. Put to side.
2. Lay dish towel flat with long side towards you. Accordion fold the dish towel in around 1-inch segments, making sure to keep it lined up as much as possible. After completing the accordion fold, bring the two ends of the towel together, folding in the middle. Around 2 inches down from the fold, place one of the clear rubber bands. This marks the head from the body of the angel.
3. Take the pot holder-with loop at top and ribbon tails out to the left and the right-and place the head/body on it, lining up the neck with the ribbon. Bring the ribbon around the neck, tying it tightly and creating a bow. Set to the side.
4. Lay the dish cloth flat, then accordion fold it in around ¾ inch segments. While folded, slide it up the back of the angel body between it and the pot holder as far as you can. Then bring the ends around to meet in front of the angel and secure with a clear rubber band. These are the arms and hands of the angel.
5. Using the remaining length of ribbon, tie a bow around the clear rubber band. Trim all ribbon tails as you wish, and use the pot holder loop to hang as desired.
