@@INFAMOUSLSGin terms of damage it was more brutal, but in the way the damage was done, this is far more brutal being pounded like that compared to being just “dumped” in acid.
@@pam1244 KITT and KARR were my faves. And I loved the fact that KARRs original voice actor was Peter Cullen. Optimus Prime himself. KARRs second voice actor made him sound darker and more evil.
This was horrific to me as a teenager, some excellent studio editing made the many impacts rapid and brutal. The initial impact rendered Kitt almost unable to drive. Really though that juggernaut would have had to back up several times and swing round for another go. Probably took 15 minutes.. Strange effect the destabilising agent had on the MBS, it turned the glass t-tops and the fiberglass nose to metal. The baddies must've messed up the formula.
KITT was feeling old in this episode, car thieves didnt want to steal him. 😅😅 Still this is not what i had in mind for KITT to get a new look getting utterly destroyed by Juggernaut.
LOL It seems giant heavily armored destructive vehicles tend to befuddle K.I.T.T. Goliath was scanned as "something strange" and here the Juggernaut was scanned as something "He couldn't read". One of the very few good episodes of S4.
For a huge armored vehicle, it sure has some tiny little axles! Around 00:50 and 01:20 it looks like the Juggernaut was a fiberglass body placed over a small 4x4 pickup. Maybe Toyota, or Ford Ranger.
One intresting inaccuracy is that, if u see the scene before, KITT was "washed" on the whole left side, top, rear and front. The right side wasn't "washed" at all. Yet we see the ram damaging him on the right side. Idk if only me saw that...
This scene made me cry as a kid. As an adult I think it's too rushed and should have involved some battle, perhaps with KITT and Michael thinking they are still capable, before realising why they're taking damage, instead of just one shot in the rear somehow disabling engine. It would have also been better if the show maintained the version from the early episodes that there wasn't any magical 'molecular bonded shell', but rather that KITT was made of a new type of alloy. Episode 1 even mentions that KITT's bodyshell was already damaged, so originally KITT was supposed to be a lot more vulnerable in general.
Nope it was a hard top you can see it with the crumpled up roof after Bonnie comes to rescue them and Michael says let’s get out of here and realized it was not possible it was most likely one of the more damaged train wreck cars with a KITT dash shell put into it
Fake Devon: Michael, you're always complaining about aborted vacations, well, now's your chance. Michael: Now? Fake Devon: Yes, 4 whole weeks to do with as you please. Michael: What is going on here? You don't just throw KITT away like a TV set or a toaster!
The 80s series didn't kill off too many main characters unlike any current series which kill off main characters on a regular basis. The exception in this case is poor KITT he always comes back from the 'dead' so to speak.
