glad he has a helmet on if he didn't bad headaches and dang he'd be in the hospital for awhile now he's so dumb though I like how kitty can phase through walls and objects he's worthless
She has honestly one of the most original and creative powers out there. There is so much stuff you can do with her if you're a good writer. The other original power I can think of is Robin in One Piece with her ability to grow limbs out of any surface.
@darlingjo7492 Yup in the Black Vortex story she becomes cosmic level powerful. Potentially in other previous story arcs too, just haven't ready older xmen comics yet
So true I've been wondering several times about how Illyana would live her life with the "real" Kitty Pryde on earth 616 when she's been "raised" by an alternate version of Kitty for 7 years in limbos where she witnessed helplessly her terrible death. I think it can be an interesting story to tell how you lost a mother figure but she face an alter ego everyday, what a strange way to mourn. edit : because these relationships with real world Kitty and Ororo and Illyana are not really developed in the comics even the ones from the 80's. I really feel like a total nerd here sorry 😅
No virtue signalling or lecturing, politics kept at a minimum (yes I'm aware that mutants are an allegory for discrimination, but it's smartly and subtly written), casting based on ability and not box ticking, good writing and storytelling. The 3rd X-men movie was the weakest of the bunch and it's still head and shoulders above the crap we get now. The superhero movies peaked with Infinity War, and Disney made sure to drag it down to it's lowest level
Kitty Pryde is beautiful and cute. Her fight against the Juggernaut was cool. Despite not being the one to be sent back in time, she did have her badass moments of assisting Bishop when fighting against the Sentinel and projecting Bishop and Logan's mind back in time. Hope to see more of Kitty Pryde in the MCU / X-Men film
@@_RoseDawson_ Well if we use technicality, she did. Beating can come in different degrees and basically she beat him up through her quick thinking, letting them get rid of him, even if it was just for a bit. Same how spider-man beats certain enemies by letting them hit themselves. Sometimes it is a simple quick victory before battle picks up again, or it is a beat up for good.
How was Kitty a homewrecker? It’s not like she was having an affair with him or anything. I don’t recall her trying to make moves on Bobby when he was with Rogue.
Except, not really. At the time Elliot wasn't living as his true self. As Ellen, yes he was perfectly cast, but had he come out as trans earlier, he wouldn't have been right for the role, even if he's been willing to play the role as female, it would have been inauthentic. It does beg the question, had he been presenting as a man at the time, which character would have been a good role for him?
@@iainwhite8617 Page can still play female characters. It's just what makes sense. He still looks female so why not play female characters? Look at house of the dragon, the actress for Rhaenyra is Non-Binary.
The Juggernaut chasing her must have been terrifying. She was probably used to easily escaping from anyone wherever she wanted and the Juggernaut's like," I DON'T CARE IF YOU GO THROUGH STUFF, I'LL STILL GET YOOUUUU!!! Her powers are completely useless against him as long as it's something he can break
She can phase through the ground. She rode a giant bullet through space. She can phase a steel rod through his heart. Juggernaut's powers are paltry compared to Kitty's. In fact, he shouldn't have been able to escape from the floor, if I remember comics correctly. If he can't build up momentum he can't break anything.
I wanna ask a question as you know kitty actress is now a men so how is your opinion? Personally I didn't care as all i cared about her was her acting so I was not a fan to begin with that's why i asked you.
You forgot the scene where she saved Magneto from the Sentinals in the "Rogue Cut scene". She grabbed him or put his arms around him to get him inside.
@@stopsliding8355Oh no, a fictional character in the movies isn't the same as their main comic book counterpart. They would never do that. Everyone would be so offended. *cough* Nick Fury was originally white and no one cares *cough*
*FUN FACT:* Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) is the only character to appear in the entire X-Men trilogy while being portrayed by a different actor in each film.
@@kls5554so? He is now living a very happy life and has embraced his new identity. I assure you that this will not effect how you live your life or impact it in any way
Very clever of Kitty to trick Juggernaut into ramming a wall while close to a mutant that shuts down mutant powers. Just too bad Juggernaut isn't actually a mutant. That trick wouldn't have worked in the comics.
I love the whole fighting scene and kitty going against juggernaut. It really shows off the xmen as a team. But most can agree they shouldve followed the comics or the cartoon shows…..
No that was too sexualized and people use that baseless excuse today when they just see a pride flag lol but that was clear Sexualization just how people wanna Fry thoseast two brain cells over a someone saying gay not even acting gay but saying they fry it but that was clear over sexxed and unnecessary
@@OsirusHandle without her permission apparently. i think somebody stole her model from Beyond Two Souls game. That's why they changed Ellie's face later on.
@@seraby7151 That's not why. They changed and aged Ellie to make her look more like her voice actress. Naughty Dog said Ellie was not based on Elliot Page.
@@AzureB-d1u some trans go back to their old self. it's reversible but the damage is done, but we all inevitably die anyway so yolo (esp if you have money to yolo).
Pretty much. Just like how Hank McCoy was recasted when he was relevant to the plot. His original actor appears as a cameo on TV in the bar when Mystique drugged the security guard. 🙃
It always irked me that we had so many actresses playing Shadowcat. I remember thinking "we couldn't just stick to one actress?". Elliot Page was naturally the best... I just wished the sound effect was the one from X Men Evolution. The effect in the film sounds... I dunno? Liquidy? Whilst the animated version sounds airy, light, and smooth, which in my opinion is much better.
Except Elliot wasn't the one who did this. Almost like a case of stolen identity or stolen valor. If it is dead naming to call someone their name after they transition, the person after shouldn't get credit for what the dead person did.
@@tylerchambers6246 Still has a womb and a uterus, cutting off your tits and claiming to identify as a man doesn't make you one just like cutting off your pecker and identifying as woman doesn't make you one. Delusions and reality are quite astounding.
The juggernaut scene was so cool but it always bothered me a little bit lol. Her powers allow her atoms to pass through the spaces between the atoms of what she's trying to phase through, right? So with that logic, JN should've been dead, completely immobilized or cut basically in half when he tried to escape. 😅
She basically used her power i think? Just like when nightcrawler teleports people, hes actually teleporting himself and also using his powers on others so i guess with kitty is the same, maybe youre saying that should of happened once kitty stopped touching him, so i guess youre right, like the effect of what kept him capable of being between spaces shouldve of dissapeared once kitty stopped grabbing him...
I remember Kitty Pryde primarily from the cancelled X-Men pilot "Pryde of the X-Men", which aired in 1989. But its good to know she's gotten some love beyond that.
thank you for this vid, mr. anybody, for reminding us that most people arent capable of the most basic mental functions such as general respect and empathy
Hah. Tell me you're not an expert in genetics and endocrine, without actually saying so. There are people declared "it's a girl" at birth, had a slit not a penis, lived all their lives as female, grew curves and breasts, who also have XY chromosomes. How chromosomes build phenotype is either more complicated than you're capable of understanding, or more complicated than you want the world to be. Your understanding of male and female doesn't come from scientific study of biology. Your understanding comes from cultural rules decided back when the number of known elements was four in Europe and six in China. Modern science recognizes more than six elements, and more than two genders,
@@rileymclaughlin4831 And modern mathematics have proven that 2 + 2 = 4 only some of the time... is there anything the "experts" say that you won't believe?
