Kitty Pryde Mutant Mentor | Exceptional X Men #1 

I honestly like the detail that she drops the Kate name, she's that as The Red Queen and Captain, and to her employers, but a new start, back to basics, like this new era.

I like that Kitty Pryde is being team up with Emma. They used to hate each other but Kitty was supposed to be Emma's Student if Charles didnt recruit her. I am glad that Emma is returning as teacher/mentor role as it was her own goal to be a teacher. Sometimes it lost when they want to push Emma into more evil roles.

Correction about kitty being stood up, she actually got the dates mixed up she was supposed to go on a date to see an old rock concert, but instead she sees all these young people dress in k-pop😂😂😂

As a comic book fan, I know my luck. If I were a mutant, I'd end up being a Morlock.

What a nice change of pace for Kitty Pride. I will keep an eye on this series.

Lots of Buffy vibes in this issue. Specifically, Sesson 3, when Buffy goes off the grid and works as a waitress.

The development between Emma and kitty is insane

Glad she's Kitty Pryde again and the "Kate" era is over.

Months ago, when they first announced the books and all we knew was Kitty becoming a teacher again, I worried about it because there were 2 main times she's been a teacher , before and after the bullet then Utopia. In the 2nd stint, they gave a rather boring personality most of the time with rare moments of not so boring mainly when she was dating Bobby or dealing with the original 5 teenaged X-Men. She shone when helping teen-Jean when the blocks on her telepathy broke and she first (conciously) experienced the telepathic powers and helped Jean block out other thoughts. I am happy to say that I liked this first issue. I like how they did not dump all the newbies all at once (I'm looking at you Unc. X-Men) and instead will be spreading out forming the team over several issues. This allowed us to see the parallels between young Trisha and Kitty's past. I'm hoping to see more interaction between them. I can't help but remember Ororo and Kitty meeting and their quick connection, something that grew from 'mature woman mentors young girl' to being like a foster mom & daughter. In Marauders, when they had the celebration after Kate's resurrection Ororo stated out loud she may have never had children but she had a daughter of her heart.

This is the "From The Ashes" book I was most looking forward to, as I was certain Eve Ewing would approach the Mutant Metaphor head-on from a modern perspective rather than retreat to the comfortable company line of 90s X-Stalgia...

Excellent debut issue this is kitty's story this a story about mutants just trying to fit in

I don’t kitty got stood up she had scheduled the date on the wrong day Joel. The date was on the following day but to Eve L Ewing's way of creating a great foundation and character dramatic with Kitty meeting Bronze that was an easy miss. I read the issues and then checked your review to make sure I’m tracking with story correctly. Great review as always my dude keep ‘em coming.

Damn shame the best first issue of the From the Ashes has gotten the softest marketing push.

I likes to see Mutants,who put their National ,Ethnic or religion Identity over their Mutant,s Ones.

I didn’t like that she dropped Kate Pryde as her main name and went back to Kitty. Feels like it reverts/disregards her character development from Krakoa.

So they finally did it kitty pride is now a bisexual you know what fine I will see if this turns out, hopefully this turns out ten times better then what marvel did with iceman which failed badly really badly in my opinion.

I think Kitty Pryde already had mentoring experience when the time displaced young original x-men were around in All-new X-men from 8 years ago. didn't you make a video about it too?
