I think the simple fact that Kizaru was included in the group Nika dance is evidence enough. I don't think Oda would draw anyone else but a redeemable character in that position.

I like to think we’ll never have a clear understanding of his actions due to him messily trying to find a middle ground between what he wants and his orders. Hence his justice is unclear. Great character.

i doubt kizaru changing sides. He might support luffy from shadows like how kuma supported strawhats during sabaody, but his ultimate allegience will be to the government.

Kizaru on the side of the Straw Hats would be a huge boon like how the Blackbeard Pirates got a massive boost after getting Kuzan on their side as a fellow Ten Titanic Captain. It'd be funny to imagine the Light Logia be part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet with his own division of defected Marines following him, and can do whatever he likes as Luffy told Bartolomeo and their allies to follow their dreams but will call on them to assemble together.

So the Ohara incident created the turn in Kuzan which let him spare the strawhats, the Egghead incident could create a turn in Borsalino which lets him spare the strawhats. Based on rule of 3, there now needs to be an incident, possibly the final incident, perhaps involving Dragon(and/or Garp), which turns Sakazuki and forces him against the Marines/World Govt and hopefully fight against Aramaki.

Something tells me that, considering Vegapunk and Kuma both have ties to the Revolutionary army, I think Kizaru might decide to join their ranks if he does flip against Saturn. Considering Kuzan already went to Piracy, it would make sense for another Admiral to balance it out and go to the third faction.

In my sense kizaru wont be betraying but will do same as akoiji just will help them to escape from satrun or will be absent in further action

If Kizaru really wanted to kill Vegapunk i doubt he would have missed him riding down the cloud road. He snipes a key in a battlefield during Marine Ford, i doubt he would miss that giant kart Vegapunk and the others were riding in by accident.

The kick Bonney got looked much more like the gentlest kick Kizaru could possibly have given her. With many others he makes a point at how devastating it can be and that speed is allegedly power.. Maybe it was only the unofficial but there was a small speech bubble of a 'tap' in the last version I read. Perhaps Kizaru made a big show out of it but tried to keep the damage to the absolute minimum. We'll. As minimum as a light speed kick through the frontier dome can be I suppose.... But I think Kizaru is trying to help.

I never hated kizaru he was a hell of a wake up call for the crew as they were definitely not ready. I always wanted to see the getback but once again Oda knows how to make you want to sympathize with certain characters now I’m rooting for kizaru to flip😂

There are plenty of theories about the bird, monkey and dog theory about how in the myth, the bird betrayed his king and the monkey did it later but the dog was too loyal. If we're going by that theory then this is the perfect time to start Kizarus' betrayal but Oda could stretch it out further even have it actually happen right before Raftel

I’ve never understood why Kizaru wasn’t everyone’s favorite admiral. I think his unclear justice is very similar to how Kuma’s actions have been portrayed, both before and during the flashback. I’d be more excited to see him have a confrontation with the new, morally gray Kuzan than any other admiral confronting him

IF Kizaru changes sides I think it is going to be to put their original group back together. Vegapunk, Kizaru, Sentomaru, Bonny, Robot Kuma will escaoe to be a seperate group .

Maybe Kizaru hates Vagapunk for turning Kuma into a robot? Kizaru maybe able cares to save those who can't save themselves. Kuma and Vagapunk made their choices he can't save them so he is not even going to try.

I wonder if Kizaru's Coat Cape of Justice will fall off from his shoulders after his defection as Oda stated that if a Marine no longer stay true to Justice they believe in, their Coat Cape will leave them.

Oda has been building Kizaru for this moment as what I feel. Looking back at the time when Kuma saves SHs, he was not sure why he did that and i think he has now made the connection. I think you rightly pointed out that Kizaru knows how much Bonney's safety means for Kuma and the type of person he is, sacrificing his own life to get her cured. But he did defy his orders quite blatantly in front of an Admiral and several marines to save the SHs and this risk may not have made sense to Kizaru. Now, he knows what Luffy is also knows what Kuma had bet on that day. I don't see Kizaru flipping over but he will get Sentomaru and Bonney out of this predicament and ensure that they are safe. I wonder how he will do that though as he needs to seem to be following orders and their escape should appear circumstantial. Overall, i think Oda has been planning for this character development for Kizaru. He is the only one we do not truly know, what his ideals are and what is his motivation. But one thing is for sure, he cares deeply for Sentomaru and to an extent for Bonney. He respects Kuma and Vegapunk and perhaps it was not a great decision on the WG part to give him the charge here.

Kizaru is my favorite admiral. Hope Oda does something amazing with him.

The themes of this Arc are beautiful, anatomy. What choices do you have in life, the answers could be very little, or a lot depending on what you beleive. There are moments in everyone's lives that define who we are, small moments at that too. Kizaru is heading right for one of these moments.

I think it’s more realistic that either Kizaru or Caribou gave him the food. Kizaru makes sense because he is close to Vegapunk, Sentomaru, and Bonney, while Caribou makes sense because we haven’t seen him in a while like Wano.

Kizaru already made his move last chapter. The food that appeared out of nowhere for Luffy probably was his doing, and it's perfectly possible with his speed

I guessed Kizaru gave luffy the food at first, but that doesn't explain what happened to the marines ordered to put luffy in sea stone cuffs. I am on team Caribou on who fed luffy and then drowned the marines ordered to stop luffy from recovering

luffy's nika form is on his wanted poster and i imagine kizaru was briefed that luffy has some sort of new power. when he said "there it is" i read it more like that instead of him knowing fully knowing what he's dealing with

Perhaps Kizaru finds the actions of the world government so morally objectionable that he KNOWS the moment he gives himself any agency is the moment he will go against them, and thusly he does everything he can to avoid thinking, making himself "just a tool" disconnecting himself from his actions by not having a decision to make in the first place.

Maybe kizaru had a brain implant implanted by Saturn that made him not able to feel emotions. Luffy hit him so hard in the head that the implant broke and now he is slowly starting to feel those emotions again.

I think Kizaru gave away just enough. He's willing to kill Vegapunk because he has to, and I think maybe what he said to Bonney is how he feels. It could be he's unhappy with Dr. Vegapunk going through with converting and effectively killing Kuma. So if Kizaru can trade Dr. Vegapunk for the rest of his family, so be it. At least I think that was his original plan. If Kizaru was what people previously thought of him, he'd be quickly killing them, but he hasn't in a more serious capacity.

Theories if Borsalino Aka Kizaru actually switch sides: 1. He will be the last of the OG admirals to left that position, with Sakazuki stepping up to be Fleet admiral and Kuzan joining Blackbeard pirates. So I'd say Borsalino will be joining the Revolutionary Army to complete the faction cycles (Marines, RA, and pirates). Maybe Oda will reveal that Borsalino had known Dragon when he was still in the marines and has been working with him secretly by giving insider information to Dragon acting as a double agent... That or he will join RA and spill their movement to WG. 2. The replacement for him will probably be named Orange rabbit/rat (Daiusagi/Dainezu, using this kanji "橙" as the orange which is spelled 'Daidai'). Considering the other two of the current admiral was named after the color combination of the OG admiral (primary color) and Chinese zodiac. Orange will be the last color combination from the primary color (red + blue =purple, blue + yellow = green, red + yellow = orange ). With the Ox/Bull and tiger year placed right to each other in the Chinese zodiac, I'd place my Bucket in rat because it is placed before the Bull year. So Dainezu, Ryogokyu, and Fujitora will be the next gen line up of the admiral.

I think people are underestimating Kizaru's abilities. He's an admiral and very skilled with his fruit. His ability is literally the light light fruit allowing him to create images of whatever he wants. There might be a good possibility that he might've tried to fake Vegapunk's death with an illusion and taken the old man out of the island, then disappeared himself. After all, who could ever catch him?

I don’t think Kizaru will fully join the Straw Hats, however, I can see Kizaru escaping Egghead with Luffy and the Straw Hats. As for who joins the Straw Hats, I think Jewelry Bonney is going to join Luffy and the Straw Hats as their apprentice, just like Buggy and Shanks were for Roger.

I really love Kizaru, but I hope he doesn't switch sides. He goes along with what he is told to do despite his private misgivings because he is beaten down by the system. Where as Aokiji and Fujitora fight against the government, and Akainu and Green Bull embrace the government, Kuzan just passively goes along with it. He represents how evil is carried out not necessarily by just the bad guys, but by neutral parties who allow it to happen. That's why I love his character.

Kizaru is very familiar with the story of Nika due to Kuma and Bonney. Maybe fighting Luffy in G5 was what Kizaru needed to see to take a gamble on Kumas behalf and back Luffy/Nika.

Since Kuzan is now a pirate i feel like Borsalino could become a revolutionary because of the ties of vegapunk and kuma to the revolutionaries. That way we would have the 3 "OG" admirals on the 3 big forces of this universe

I could hypothetically see Kizaru bringing Bonnie to the Sunny and asking Luffy to make her a part of the crew and protect her, and Sanji taking on a big brother protector role to her (being different than his typical reactions around women).

I would love if he just goes "fck it" and charges against Saturn. And, if he does that, he would inmediatly be a serious traitor to the GM, leaving the marine. In that scenario, he might even join the Sunny for a set period of time or even become a Straw, after all we just need a sad flashback from him , also doing something good in there and ggs, we would all want to see him in. Plus, somebody really needs to take care of Aokiji in future fights, right?

could there be something with kumas paw bubbles? when kuma lets out his memories/ pain/ whatever, it's a big circle surrounded by 4 little ones. if kuma made a special bubble with both hands, one giant bubble in the middle surrounded by 8 smaller bubbles would look like the kozuki crest, the symbol in kumas church, and others i can't remember.

If you noticed, in both face offs with the Strawhats, Kizaru hesitated and delayed finishing blows. I knew this was going to happen

Kizaru has always been one of my favorite characters and I never thought he would be a good guy, if he helps the strawhats he might jump up to being my all time favorite.

Imagine kizaru, kuma, vegapunk, sentomaru and bonney created a pirate crew. That will surely grow into a yonko crew.

By the end of the one piece story, the marines will have a complete overhaul. There cant be marines siding with slave traders etc, once Imu is revealed the marines will have to go against them. I wont go as far as to say they will side with pirates, but once this complete overhaul happens from the top then i cann see Garp being the first Fleet Admiral in the new marine regime

If Kizaru turns, it makes Garp's decisions and actions even more questionable.

we haven't seen what is happening with the giant robot either... that robot might be doing something to St.Saturn~ maybe it is activated because it senses "demon" to exterminate, not because of Luffy using gear5 (or maybe both).. that robot is programmed to attack Mary Geoise previously, and it has a mission it's yet to complete~

Well it seems to be implied that he saw whoever brought Luffy food. And if he did and didn't say anything then that would fit the subtlety you mentioned.

At this end of all of this, If KIzaru does change sides, I do not see another Marine Admiral becoming a pirate, after this arc it is true that they are going to Elbaf and taking Vegapunk with them, and also Bonney too, but other way I see it after defeating Saturn, and escaping, I can see Kizaru joining the Revolutionary army and that is a much safer place to take Vegapunk too, so I can see Vegapunk, Kizaru and Sentomaru going to the revolutionary army maybe taking bonney with them too, she can be a revolutionary too just like her mom and dad were

Saturn will activate Kuma's self destruct sequence and this time it will be Kizaru who sends everyone away from Kuma at light speed.

The fact he did the Nika dance with Kuma, Bonney, Sentomaru and Vegapunk solidified his betrayal to the Marines

I think this arc is going to wrap up as one of the best arcs in one piece or even anime history, I know there is some level or recency bias to that, however this arc has been TIGHT its been perfectly paced, like perfectly. Even the lore chapters somehow feel action packed, yet I have not once felt confused or like I'm misunderstanding the course of events. Even Odas maps of the Island have just made everything so clear week to week, I actually know where everything is taking place. I also think the Kuma backstory is a masterpiece, not just because it's all "oh look at Kuma his life has been so hard, and also bonny's too". There's so much more to the backstory, I'm fairly certain it's all intentional however if it isn't it's a perfect coincidence because it truly brings this story together in a way I never thought possible. So, I don't think you're supposed to see Kuma as the victim. I'll explain. I think we are supposed to recognize that Kuma is a flawed person and the only person that seems to realize that is him(and Saturn I'll get there). Kuma had one great sin that he committed in this backstory which set the course of his later life in motion. Kuma couldn't choose between Dragon and Ginny. By extension he also couldn't choose between his desire to be or to find Nika, and to bring liberation, or his desire to live in peace. Dragon represents liberation, Ginny is his peace. If he had married Ginny, if he had chosen peace, chances are he may never have met Dragon. They may still have met, however I don't see Kuma going off to war after marrying at that age. I think if he chose Ginny that would have been what it took to make him stay in sorbet forever(for better or for worse). However, Ginny would follow Kuma anywhere. When Dragon saved Kuma and Ginny and Kuma chose to devote himself to Dragon, he committed himself to being a warrior. I think it's intentional Irony when Oda calls Kuma a Pacifist. When Kuma chose to go with Dragon, he sealed Ginny's fate. I think he knew that all his life, that's why I can't blame Dragon for Ginny's disappearance. So when Ginny was gone Kuma devoted himself fully to the life of a warrior, however when Ginny returned with Bonny here Kuma saw his chance to make right by Ginny for the mistake he had made. So he devoted himself to taking care of Bonny when he found out about her disease. Here again he did something he would always regret. He turned away from Dragon his Idol, when he really truly needed him. That's why Kuma would return to Dragon so often during his time as a warlord despite the risks, he just couldn't stay away. So Kuma abandoned the revolutionary army an organization he created, for the daughter of the women he regretted never marrying. What makes St. Jay Garcia such an amazing villain here, is he knows Kuma's weakness. He knows how he can use Ginny and Bonny against him, he knows one day Kuma would come to him for help because he's the only one capable of doing so. He also knows Kuma's revolutionary desires. He knows he can use these two warring conditions against Kuma. So when Kuma turned up at Vega Punks door looking for help, Garcia sprung his trap. Here Kuma officially abandoned the revolutionary Army, even so Dragon never blamed him, and I'll get to that more. The next important event is nothing happened. Kuma helped Luffy and his crew because here he saw his chance to do right by Dragon, and to fulfil his desires for liberation, even when he is a warrior of oppression. Kuma saw Luffy's potential and even considered that he might be Nika. However, I don't think Kuma was fully convinced of that at the time. So then we finally come to when Kuma is erased completely. Here Kuma tells us he doesn't want us to consider him the victim of this story. He says something to the effect of "I hope I was able to do right by everyone I've troubled". Which isn't verbatim, however it's not very off from the sentiment. And I think this is very telling. Then when Vegapunk tells him that the people he has touched will miss him. However, Kuma let's his last words the last things he remembers hearing or saying be a self sacrifice, "tell Bonny to have a happy 10th birthday". Even to his very end he was trying to atone for the mistakes he feels he has made. Now that said what makes this amazing. Is everyone who has ever been touched by Kuma has already forgiven him. In some cases the forgiveness is not given, because it was never needed. I think the most telling case is Dragon telling Kuma about Vegapunk. Dragon knew who Vegapunk was, he knew the risk it would be for Kuma and that he might have to sacrifice something to get what he wanted. He also knew this would likely be the last time Dragon and Kuma saw each other as allies. However, Dragon was perfectly comfortable being the thing Kuma gave up. Because Dragon asks nothing more from his people than their commitment, with no regrets. If someone can't commit to the cause anymore without some regret that's okay. Because life should be one lived without regrets. However, Kuma had already made his greatest mistake, and he would be playing out its consequences for the rest of his life. I don't think Kuma is to blame in reality, some things are out of our control. And there's nothing wrong with choosing liberation over peace, they are both equally noble. However, Kuma could never choose just one, and in failing to do so, he doomed himself and those around him. That's also why he isn't Nika. Nika needs to be able to act without regret, he needs to be able to choose without conflict. Kuma couldn't, however, Luffy is the most headstrong and confidently stubborn character in the verse. That's why he's Nika, that also might be something Kuma recognized in Luffy. Which also makes the separation of the straw hats really powerful from Kuma's perspective. Watching Luffy freak out after everyone was gone and blame himself for not being able to save them, Kuma knew exactly what Luffy was going through, he knew the feeling and he also knew it wasn't Luffy's fault. Not really. There are just some powers that need to be stood up to, however usually that means certain death. Kuma knows that, that's why he chose to save them all. As well as choosing to protect the ship. He saw Luffy's pain. He might have even seen a little bit of Dragons pain when Kuma left, and Ginny was captured, and Ivankov was captured. Dragon was pretty much losing all of his closest allies all the way through pre-timeskip. However, he kept going. He kept training a new generation, he had faith his comrades would return to him one day. Dragon is probably one of the most patient and honorable characters in the world. It upsets me a lot that people slander him. He ain't like Yassop abandoning Ussop and his sick wife. Anyway, Kuma seeing Luffy's pain probably triggered something for him . I also think there might be an aspect of Kuma didn't feel like his business was complete so he couldn't be completely erased, at least until Bonny is completely safe.this might be why his body is still moving and acting like he's still alive, and why he can use haki even though he should have no willpower.

you know that scene in god of war ragnarok with Oden , Freya , Kratos and Atreus I think that is how egghead is going to end with Luffy , Kuma , Kizaru and Bonney

This is why One Piece is so great. Everyone kept making fight predictions about which admiral will fight which Straw Hat for years and almost decades now. Now it's about which admiral will join the Straw Hats to battle the evil admiral's. Oda really is a master story teller. :D

Kizaru is probably thinking about every time he has seen something questionable and put it out of his mind, now that he's seeing the full cruelty of the organisation he enables on full display

i think there is a possibility that Kuma sends Saturn away like he did for the straw hats. this gives oda the foreshadowing of how strong the gorosei without having a winner of the actual fight. it would then lead to kizaru and cp0 fighting the straw hats and losing.

My believe, is that Kizaru already betrayed the World Government. In the middle of the battle, Saturn is wondering who gave Luffy food that just appeared out of nowhere. Maybe certain someone who can move at the speed of light decided to drop off a bit of sustenance while everyone was looking at Bonney?

It could be that kizaru was willing to follow orders, but after hearing what Saturn did to Kuma, Bonnie, and Ginny; as well as Saturn admitting that he believes humanity is nothing more than insects--that kizaru just says f**** it and gives Nika the light he needs to crush the nasty spider.

i know this is unrelated to the video but I was wondering just now. During the time skip why weren't any of the Straw Hats concerned about their ship? Nobody went to retrieve it and the marines didn't confiscate it either. Well the marines probably had their hands full and the SH were presumed dead.
