I saw this band at Canterbury college in 1978/79 they were support for spizz oil and had Palmolive on drums , I remember thinking the little blond bass player was a hottie ,I was 14 !!
Yep, saw these. South Pier, Lowestoft 1979/1980, on tour with Spizz Energi and The Raincoats. Kleenex stole the show and the security was crap - stupidly, we were more or less allowed to storm the stage and there we were jigging along with air guitars, spots, ambition, flatulence and attitude. Kleenex seemed to take it all in good spirit. Golden memories - real music from real bands. Where did it all go wrong?
@@triumphadelic Nah, get outta here - there were plenty of great New Wave acts (Talking Heads, XTC, & The Monochrome Set, to name but 3)! Me, I blame the f*cking New Romantics. A bunch of air-headed posey wankers with NOTHING to say, who came to dominate the charts with their onanistic drivel. A pox on them ALL, I say - a pox! Ptui
I love this, I had it on 45 I think it was an ep, you were encouraged to open the cover to reveal inside artwork and then it got lost, thank fk I can stl hear it yrs later atchoo
Yeah, I remember we ran outta toilet paper at the abandoned building we were squatting in & I ended up using my "punk" book of rules and regulations right after they issued it to me. Always wondered about what kind of crazy shit it might have said... :P
@OrchidOxycodone lots of great bands are on guitar hero. if kleenex were asked they would too. it's not selling out to get your music heard by people. why would i leave this video alone? i love this band and i love the sex pistols. selling out is compromising your music and doing things you don't truly want to do. that doesn't apply to the pistols.
Get all your sex pistols 45s and all those rare Clash pressings and bin them - they are worthless when compared to the songs. Kleenex is the business 😁
