Just purchased (April 27, 2023). the Klien 11 in 1 Magnetic Screwdriver. I watched your video and saw that you used a pliers to pull out the ends. I opened my packaging, removed tool and did not have that problem. I was able to pull the ends out with my hands. The ends and bits are very snug but can be removed without using pliers. Maybe Klien has made mfg changes to the 11 in 1 Magnetic Screwdriver to alleviate the problem. - Klien did not have any instructions in the package. Your video helped me to figure out how to access and use the different bits. - Thanks for your video. 😊

I keep coming back to the 11 in 1. Just feels right in my hand and gets the job done. Only gripe has been that it needs to be magnetic. I’m tired searching for and picking up screws from the floor. Especially when I’m using a ladder. I’m going to buy one tomorrow.

I find the ratchet from klein as the best tool with the bits in the handle. It’s great.

I used a small pocket screwdriver and pried off the beginning of the spring that holds the two ball bearings in the shaft. After spiraling off two thirds of the spring, I used a long nose plier to slightly loosen the tension on the spring and spiraled it back on. After the adjustment, I could pull the thing apart without having to use my pliers. Just wanna stress I simply loosened the tension and maintained the concentric spirals of the spring. I also had to be careful of not loosing the two ball bearings. Yeah it sucked, but I really liked that it was magnetic. 🤙🏽

If there's one thing you might want to check out is their 7 in 1 reversible magnetic impact nut drivers. It's ingenious as all in one shaft. The quarter inch bit one actually has a three functions that it does first it's a quarter inch driver then it's a bit holder on the reverse side of that I believe it to 7/16 nut driver. It does include a half inch and 3/8 I believe and I can't think of the other two off my head.

Tacoma Screw up here in Washington has the best 15&1 screwdrivers ever made. It’s made here in the USA, the bits can come in different Applications for the job needed. Once you have one you’ll never go back to anything else.

Hi Gary... I looked on the Tacoma Screw website... Are you talking about the Megapro brand multi-bit screwdrivers?...🤔 Thank you... Greg.

@@moonamigo Yes sir I was, it’s been my go to screw driver for years. When you’re out in the field working ya can’t always bring all the different driver bits you might need for the job. This driver has saved my butt more than once.

Best remedy for these shortfalls is the newer Klein impact rated 11 in 1. Replace one end with a magnetic bit holder (designed for for impact drivers) and you basically have a magnetic driver on one side (single bit only) and 4 Klein non-magnetic bits if you flip the shaft around.

No problem with mine. The tips are somewhat tight but not an issue. I was a Craftsman tool customer for years but quality has diminished. Klein still makes a great product. You will lose it before you wear it out.

Great screwdriver from Klein tools and I also tried the southwire 12-in-1 and are not far behind. I have both the southwire and Klein and they serve their purpose (the Kleins are non magnetic). I love Klein and southwire they both come in handy. If you live in the Midwest or have a Menards (a store like home depot and Lowes) they sell southwire tools

I like southwire's right angle romex stripper they make for residential work so you can remove romex sheath when it's in the box. I didn't have that issue with mine at all. Wonder if there was a particular production run that had an issue.

Hello. I have this screwdriver in my basket on amazon, what I don't understand is how it can be for electricians if it is not insulated to the top, I use wiha and wera insulated tools but I really like the multi-functional screwdrivers and I said I should have them too, I haven't really seen this model in my country (Romania) and I also set my eyes on this model because of the handle and the fact that it is, in my opinion, a bit shorter than other models.

I've had 3 of these and I've never had to use pliers to swap bits ,sides ,etc hahah but I'm on my third one because I keep loosing the tool

I ran into an issue the other day were it was a stainless steel screw and it was a live panel/box. I ended up putting a little thumb gum on the head of the screw and was able to get it started until I could get my insulated screwdriver on their FYI….case anybody else has the same problem

Klein’s magnetic screwdriver is total crap. Mine is completely unusable. Just buy a $4 magnetizer for the original.

Could you just magnatize the nonmagnetic one
@OpportunityElectrical

I have been curious how well those little klein screwdriver magnetizing tools work. Have you tried it yet? I have personally not. I would assume the magnetic strength wouldn't be quite as good as having an actual magnet in the screwdriver, but I could be wrong!
@outcast7899

The little square blocks will magnatize regular screwdrivers ok but those multi bit drivers have a lot more mass. Im curious myself and would like to hear from someone thats tried already Thanks

@@outcast7899 I tried magnetizing the klein heavy duty 10-in-1 with the Klein magnitizer, it doesn't work as good like a single screwdriver. The bits get magnetic but very weak. To be fair the magnetizer does say to put the whole screwdriver shaft through it, but it doesn't fit with the 10-in-one, only the bits.
