I was one of the luck ones that got the clockworks windshields for the 2023 CVO Road Glide and Carlos at NVS Audio hooked me up with an amazing audio upgrade #Klockwerks #nvsaudio
Great video. I have the Street Glide CVO and l’m waiting for the windshield to be available. What type of Cicada speakers do you have installed? Thanks.
Love the bike, just took delivery today of my 2023 cvo. I put the stage3 Rockford back speakers in it. Gonna see how it is over the weekend but after hearing yours I’m leaning to go your route! How hard was the install? Great video. Thank you!
the hardest part was removing the tank. Carlos makes it pretty plug and play. You do need to trim the tray a bit. I did it with a Dremel took about 10 min.
Carlos, The only amp that will fit in the current configuration is the sound digital 800.4 . And the suspension was upgraded to Ohlins, so those are Ohlins caps from Big Bear Performance. Thanks for the kind words!!
@@AZBaggers thank you .. they look cool.. nice to give it a little color. Did you go with Olins in back as well? I also kept those from my 19 before I traded it in. - Awesome.. just checked and thats the amp i got from him .. the 800.4 evo2 and the Mini DSP. (something like that) guess i just need to get new harness he made,.. and the 6 x 9's thanks again. BTW.. what size Risedrs you get ? 6 or 8 with the 2.5 inch Bars?
I know it's a huge difference from the stock windshield. Klock hasn't professed that they are making anything taller. they are making a sport version but its shorter. I would say it would work great. I have zero buffeting, My wife told me she dissent have her head moving and she would be sitting 4-5 inches above me on 2up riding. I would go for it.
Yeah most shops don’t have the harness yet. You need to call Carlos at NVS audio. He will get you what you need. Cicada is a manufacturer and hasn’t come out with any products specific to the new bikes yet.
@@Wayno_72 I don’t know the part number but I eventually got the 12” KW for my 2024 RG. Apparently they release them when they get 100 or so made. I love it, it’s the perfect high to see over and still get no buffeting like the stock 4”
I already had the 6X9's and it was around 2400 delivered from NVS. But you can choose different speakers if you choose to reduce the cost, or add more expensive options. The best bet is to call them and let them know what your goals are.
I just got a CVO Road Glide on Friday. I've never had a Road Glide before so I figured, what the heck. I was surprised at the amount of wind and how little I could hear of the sound system at highway speeds. Like my Street Glides, I knew I would have to replace the windshield. Your video is awesome. I had never heard of Cicada before. I checked them out and it seems like a great company or at least great products. How much modification did you have to do to get the fairing speakers in? Was it a pain or fairly simple? Also, you mentioned the 6X9's bolted right in. So no modifications necessary? Do you think just the Cicada speakers alone would improve the system or is the amp needed? Sorry for all the questions. I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff and end up with stuff that I can't get installed.
SO all great questions, No modifications to fit the cicada 6.5 speakers in the fairing. However, you will need a .33-.35 spacer for them to fit in the pod. The 6X9's are Hertz and dropped right in. the front corners do need to be trimmed a bit to get the girls back on but it's nothing a set of cutters cant do. I personally would go with an amp. BUT.....contact Carlos at NVS audio and he can do it in steps so you dont waste money. Start with speakers and see if it's good enough. If not call him back for an amplifier. I know they are making an interface for the new radios but it wont be out until late this or next year. The Cicadas are great speakers and can take a lot of power so you'll never be limited. Hope that helps. Call Carlos at NVS. He is the guru and has the inside track on the industry. He has also tried every conceivable combination to find what works best.
From what I know just speakers without an amp upgrade doesn’t do anything Harley speakers are 2 ohm and most after market speakers are 4 ohm. Call NVS audio Carlos is the man when it comes to Motorcycle sound. Don’t make the mistake I did spend thousands just to take it to him to have it fixed!!
I agree Carlos is the man, he will tell you how to upgrade and leave room for later if you choose to take it further without having to rebuy everything. @@robertorndorff6540
I saw another audio dealer replaced speakers on 23 CVO with the Hertz front and rear 6X9s and sounds pretty good.. could never be same as adding a better Amp and DSP though. I di d get a small upgrade from Carlos fro my 19 RGS... took it out before i traded it in for 23 cvo though.. was hoping I could use a couple of things but now not looking like it.. gonna see Carlos soon to see what he says. 😜
