That ride through to Molesworth Station, which is the biggest station in the South Island to my knowledge, shows the vastness of the country, I'm from Southland originally and now ride a KLR 650, same setup as yours in Perth Western Australia, ride safe mate and enjoy.

Love this ride. Sometimes pretty spirited if going to catch ferry after late night in hanmer haha
