Nice bike and video of exhaust comparison sounds like the stock exhaust was quite a bit quitter.I like the look of the aftermarket but think the stock was actually better!!
I have the fourteen inch delkevic ... Remove the silencer Sounds amazing has plenty of backpressure..... I also have the 9 inch from the same company way too loud and it back fires..... Stay away from 9 inch...... At least on the KL R's.
Can you tell me what Staintune muffler this is exactly? A buddy wants to sell me a Staintune muffler for the previous generation of KLR and I am not sure if it will fit my 2009 KLR. Nice look bike Sir.
I wanted to know if you have rejet your carbs. I have 2018 KLR with the Delkevic 14' stubby with the baffle in, and on high revs I do get a little popping. My mechanic warned it may be running to rich and needed to upgrade the jets. He told me to check my spark plug and see if they are turning white. Also if anyone wonders why you would change your exhaust on a KLR, one does not know the bike and is not a fan of motorcycles. For the viewers that would ask why change your exhaust, I would them why would you keep that big, heavy can that sounds like crap. Also the sound on this video does not do justice to the Delkevic exhaust.
Hi mate, i no longer have this bike and the mechanic who installed this exhaust didn't do anything to the carb so im pretty sure the jets are stock. Im told that changing the jets can increase performance but have no idea if that's true. Thanks for watching and commenting man, hope it helps!
I dont get the point of putting an aftermarket exhaust on a single cylinder engine. They dont sound good imo. Unless of course youre doing it for the weight
+notafraid06 Cheers for the comment man. I actually had an off and when the dealership were going over the bike to replace parts through insurance, the guy suggested removing the original and replacing it with a Staintune. Way lighter and sounds slightly better than the KLR chug so im happy and it cost me nothing :-)
