Here is the 10th part to my klx110 full mod build series. In this video I review the parts that I installed on the bike, and talk about how they held up under riding conditions. Feel free to ask questions in the comments!
I'm in the process of a 2003 Suzuki drz 110 build. Nothing crazy like this bike but doing enough to make it safe for my 190lb self haha. Had a sdg tall seat, pro taper bars and a billet gas cap when I got it. Have since installed stiffer fork and rear shock springs, cradle mount from tbolt usa, wide pegs, new tires and tubes, black/yellow spoke skins, new brake lever, new graphics kit, new chain. Stock motor for now and will probably stay stock. Have a pro circuit t4 exhaust and uni air filter on the way, have new 85 main and 40 pilot jets ready to go in and will shim the needle and tune as needed. I'm into it for $1200 total which isnt too bad. Would love to do more but not worth dumping anymore into it. Can't wait to hit some local tracks/trails with buddies who also have pitbikes. These things rock and nice build man!
Honestly everyone takes for granted putting the better suspension on a 110 for racing Because I did just power mods and I’m making anywhere between 18 to 20 horsepower and it’s a handful in a straight line And almost impossible to track I need to get my handling set right
I getting that tire asap! I just got done doing 143 big bore and it rips now, im super happy with the fastace front kit well worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a nice build man. Looking to sell my built crf50/88 and get a klx i think. Great video quick and to the point. Lots of reviews in a short time. Thanks
Killer build!! What is your impression of the 143 big bore and stock 3 speed transmission if that is what you are running? Would you recommend it or is the 4 speed shift drum necessary?
motogpstar169 hey man, I know it was a while ago but my brother has the 143 kit, vm26 carb, and is still 3 speed. It hauls ass, and honestly 3rd gear is tall enough for us. We’ll probably go with the 4th gear drum later but it’s plenty fast top speed wise. It feels good.
nice bike. can u increase the height with longer travel suspension front and rear? or by droping the forks and putting in a swinger spacer. or by running bigger rims? whats the biggest rims set up u can run on these bikes?
have you ridden the piranha 190? I just got one, and for $2800 it’s a hell of bike which basically needs nothing. Wonder how it would compare to your built klx
In the slim chance anyone comes across this vid looking for jetting info his jet numbers are way off. I’m sure he was just confused but the main jet is an 85 NOT a 185 and the slow/idle jet is likely a 40 maybe a 42 definitely NOT a 22.5. They run a 38 stock and could use a 40 stock honestly.
Have you been able to service these forks? I’ve looked everywhere and all the service parts or bushings kits are out of stock. How are these forks holding up?
What length is the shock on that bike? In a previous video I thought you said it was 270mm but I cant find anything like that matching the shock you have. The only 270mm shock they make does not have the piggy back reservoir. Fast ace has a 260 and 280 shock that looks just like yours. The 260 has the same BDA-51AR code on the side of the shock as yours. The 280 shock is 550lb and the 260 is 250lb. Im pulling together a pitbike build and i'm going for a suspension setup very similar to yours, so any help would be great!
Yeah you will need to change both the pilot & main jet. The aftermarket exhaust will make the stock jetting run too lean, so you will need some larger sized jets. There are forms online to give you an idea of what jet #'s to use 👌
