Take a look at this figure. It's MASSIVE. But there are a few issues. It is a very cool figure, just to darn expensive. Like the figure? Then pickup one for yourself at TFSource.com tfsource.com/products/view/pro...
Hearts of Steel has some really great transformer designs, and this guy was my favorite. I'm amazed someone took on the challenge of creating a toy of him.
this is the most impressive transformer ive seen on this channel yet... not just because of the size and complexity, but also because of the technical accomplishment of realizing a toy that does not officially exist and have it look so convincing and not to mention having 2 different figures of different scales and different alt modes which transform into such similar robot modes
Would be cool if MMC reran this figure using their modern technics. This thing is nice looking but it does have MMC's early stank all over it. They have become the best 3P company in my opinion but their early stuff does show how far they've come.
Great review man! Damn, this is incredible. I really don't like how his left arm looks in robot mode. Looks too bulky to me, but oh well. Still an amazing figure.
I love how much the brainmaster resembles the larger robot. The bow hand, the identical chest configuration, and the gatling gun hand as well as identical head sculpts just make them look so awesome. Oh yeah, and because the little robot goes inside Cyclops instead of forming his head makes him a brainmaster, i believe that is the correct term.
If you want to get the anchor in, try watching Peaugh or Vangelus. They have Cyclops and they have been able to get the anchor in that compartment and close up the bottom hatch without too much hassle.
love the purple..it was released inthe usa???why havent i seen on in canada yet then oh ya we only get what doesnt sell down there..we get crumbssss ilove paying 100 out of my 300 to live on for month to have no one if i need to sell it give a dime for it and live like bum for my love of mecha.. couldnt give my 10000 robots i collected for 25 years away
I've recently become a fan of yours when I watched the train transformer knock offs you did and I will say I'm happy I found you. You are as awesome as SSJautobot.
I have one aks i saw how much are they cost are u getting your money back when they break? Say i buy it for my kids he play with it some place it breaks? What would u say and have u happen it ?
You can fix a loose ball joint by removing the socket, painting the ball with super glue (IMPORTANT: dry completely) then replace the joint. Again make sure the glue is COMPLETELY dry before putting the joint back together
I’m sure that the anchor does go in but you close the panel quickly so it doesn’t fall out When you open the panel it’s probably just to get the anchor. The anchor is supposed to fall out.
QC happens Balt. That'sjust the way a figure is. Also as Emgo316 once said, "Price doesn't ensure quality." All expensive means is you paid a chunk of change for it. That's why 3rd party TFs can throw ya for loops at times.
i must correct myself balt, it was the CSS Virginia. the Merrimack was the original hull that sunk and rebuilt into the Virginia. sorry for the confusion.
XIXth century anchorage looks terrific in shock wave's color skin and in robot mode its defenitly shock wave's feeling ... if he where coming on XIXth century defenitly this vehicle mode fits wonderfully with him
I can see why the bow won't attach. On the back of the bow, there are a series of tabs that fit into the middle of the boat. imagine it like Movie 1/2 Deluxe bumblebee's transformation and tabbing process. Or watch Vangelus's reviews of the figure.
Did any one else notice both cyclops and big boi have a pointy right hand and a gun for a left hand there hands are the same just on different scales Edit: also there legs are like there arms both of them have the devices that propel them in vehicle mode on there legs they are basically the same figure but one is bigger and they transform into different things Edit2: they even both have wings
They said the second release will have fixed the plastic and transformation problems, if they do make these changes like they promise, do you think the new version will be worth it?
Y'know, I have to ask, nearly 3 years after this review is the figure still in good condition? Or did the pegs and floppy bits break by now? Really saddening that it has so many issues even if I really love the alt mode.
Justin kai, what part looks like soundwave, it 'screams' Shockwave, and it does the exact 'opposite' in soundwaves case, so 'what' part exactly looks anything like soundwave? At all
It's a shame HasTak themselves never got into the Hearts of Steel line. I would have been really interested to see them tackle figures such as Shockwave here and the more bizarre such as Scourge and his blimp altmode.
ShartimusPrime the shoulder on the right arm looks really bulky. Maybe it can rotated so the gun sits on top like a turret and the front of the ship which looks like its meant for ramming could be a great addon to the right fist for smashing other transformers when they get too close for his minigun left arm. Plus the left arm with the chain under it kinda looks like a chain belt or some form of power/ammunation feeding into the minigun.
I have this and there are no problems with mine in the ship mode i cannot say anything about the robot as i have not transformed it yet(it will be a one time thing) i would say see if you can exchange it.
3rd party companies have nice figures but they always forget a tab that would help a lot or they don't make something as good of quality that it should be
