It’s really not, they have the second best player of all time and he’s still playing like one of the best in the league , AD is MUCH better than recent years and actually able to play and the rest of the team is finally starting to get their footing, playing well more often.

I've been saying all year, as a C's fans the Knicks are imo the scariest team for us. They're gritty, they have a huge chip on their shoulders because everyone keeps writing Brunson off, and basically their whole team will be rested going into the playoffs. This is just a guess but I think it is probably Harden's history of shrinking in the playoffs, PG's history of being ok in big moments, and his and Kawhi's injury history. All of that has to be in line for them to win and Nick probably doesn't think it is likely.

@@k_hack9441 it’s not about Brunson being a top 5 player or not, the team as a whole is solid and very deep, and well coached! The bucks and Celtics are literally the only teams in the east you can say are better teams and bucks have been mad inconsistent! Cavs can’t handle the knicks, the magic are having a good season, but struggle with the knicks, Miami gotta make it out the play in and We’ve upgraded our roster from last season. Knicks are at least eastern conference finals contenders but I already admitted it would take injuries to Boston to have a chance to get out of the east! And Knicks are right there to take the 3 spot in the east without Randle and OG for a large part of this season, and they’re coming back for the playoffs!!

Lakers percentage should be much lower since they have no chance if they go through Denver. For the Lakers to get in the playoffs, realistically the best they can do is 8th seed. Hard to see Denver not finishing in the top spot given the remainder of their schedule compared to OKC's and Minnesota's schedule. That means, there's a huge chance of seeing a Lakers-Denver match up, assuming the Lakers are lucky enough to finish 8th.
