#1 Looks Awesome 👍🏼😎 #2 Add a Magnetic 🧲 Shealth, w/ a Japanese Ocean design on the Wood Shealth. #3 Polish the Blade up to 50,000 Grit and then Mirror polish compound w/ wool. #4 Use White Ceramic Blade Sharpener to make it Surgically sharp. Respect

Love your craftsmanship… Seeing you drill through the metal without clamping it down and holding it in your hands makes me feel the injury I once caused myself when a piece caught the drill and started spinning on me. Be safe sir!

Очень хорошо, но зачем оставлять рифление напильника, там же будет забиваться грязь. Можно было бы зачистить в ноль, но это уже конечно придирка.👍

Nice. In that process did you soften it a bit? I'm not a knife maker mind you, but aren't files very hard/brittle? Or is it a case the hardness of the file is just fine for a knife like this with a fine edge? Anyway, nice little project that recovers something someone else would likely just throw out.

At the beginning of the video, I anneal the file to make it easier to work with, and then after processing, I harden and temper it to the desired hardness.

Из напильника хорошое ножы получается даже гвозде можно рубить нажом из напильника если конечно хорошо закалить и от пустит и заточить не слишком острым углом то будет рубить даже арматуру и кромка не

Knife making is good but it is thicker it. It must be heated and forged to thin sheet and the cut to knife.

I have seen many times how a knife is made from a file, but I have never seen anyone succeed in making a file from a knife. From which I can conclude that files are much more complex than knives.
