Happy Sunday Lord Grizz, thanks for the new video. There are several Wengers that don't have the nail file, I have 2 that have a small clip point blade on them , one is the Wenger Teton which is a variant of the Traveler with a small clip point blade instead of a nail file & the other one that I have is the first version of the Wenger Forester, it has both a blade lock & a small clip point blade, all later versions replaced the clip point blade with the nail file & had no blade lock except for the Securite 17 version of the Forester but it has a nail file.
When I start my Swiss-style knife company I'm gonna put one one of those "flat" Phillips with a file on it under the main knife layer. Not a 2-D Phillips. I'm thinking a diamond file.
I believe that the name Rogers comes from the firm Joseph Rogers of Sheffield here in England who originally pioneered some of the jig patterns on early knives with bone scales? I was always told you can tap the blades with a mallet and can get good results I certainly have with Victorinox knives! Boy that Wenger junk can opener they will fold on you big time? Wenger certainly came out with some useless crap over the years, not a big fan of them generally and the steel they used for the blades was as soft as s*** . The only ones I have now are the soldier's and a tool chest.
