Very recently just picked one of these up on craigslist in Canada. Paid $10. What a steal. Needed just minimal TLC with regard to the tools. Scales were cracked so I removed them and replaced them with the plus scales. What an amazing handy little tool. It’s usually in my hand a couple of times a day.

Even a badly broken Golfer has some value in parts thanks to that heavy square phillips driver. That model works so well with the Leatherman square hex bit adapter 👍
I suspect the screwdriver on the mirror has largely been replaced in function by the small screwdriver on the can opener, and is, thus, currently unnecessary.
I have that model in my collection, I bought it in 1984. It is identical to that one, still in great condition. Not sure what year yours is however. Love the videos, thanks!
At laaaaast! Somebody who goes against the flow with this - almost I admit - useless tool... Everyone is "selling" the compact as the jack of all trades which also isn't in my opinion. Sure it's compact and has the scissors but the combo Phillips is pathetic. The manager has a true phillips in a smaller form factor. But nooo they had to discontinue the utility master (Manager) and promote the thin Compact. Great video sir
pre mid 80's Cadet's only for me and they are ribbed for her pleasure and a small pen blade instead of the file even though they made both and it was an option in the 70's and 80's
use some oven cleaner on that yellow alox and the color will come off and you will have a sexy smooth silver . not really a fan of smooth alox on anything and that is why they ribbed some 84mm alox for her pleasure
In places where it’s illegal to carry a lot of knives the mini champ may be someone’s only knife. So having an extra blade you keep especially sharp for emergencies is more useful than you might think. Also if you’re only carrying a small multi tool then the extra thickness between the two models makes no difference. If you have other EDC I get what you’re saying.
Post more vids, for real. There's a lot of great "knife guy..." vids out there, but yrs always feels so ad lib. Like some dude who yelled out at a party "I like the Ramones too but turn tgat sh*t down a sec I'm trying to finish this knife vid". Cool. Legit. I like that you don't always review Oold knives you spent two weeks polishing and researching before ya show it. Yeah, do more videos.
I received one of these from my great uncle. It is in excellent condition and from research I was able to determine it is Master Craftsman made prior to 1978 due to tang stamp and aluminum topped tweezer. It is amazing how these are built like a tank and last without rusting.
I replaced the pen scale with a toothpick scale which reduced the thickness of the minichamp and got rid of a tool I would never use for one I would. Been carrying a Rambler for over 30 years but gonna give this modified minichamp a shot.

I never get the hook hate. It's not like it's taking space from another tool. I use the hook a lot more than the scissors that come on the other side of it.
So I carried a ranger and a mechanic so i could have all the tools I wanted then i got the 111mm work champ thinking that would replace my ranger and mechanic but im kinda disappointed it hads next to no back tools no + scales the file doesn’t have the nail cleaning tip for one of there more expensive knifes you would think they would have put more effort in it so i ordered a handyman this should be the one for me

La hoja pequeña clip point se usó hasta el año 1973 aproximadamente, que justamente es cuando se descatalogan la champion A y B, por eso esa craftsman y trae hoja clip point. La champion A pasa a llamarse Handyman y la champion B craftsman. Un saludo.
