A sleek talking sports car complete with a mounted scanner, yes please! Knight Rider was one of the coolest shows ever, virtually a live action comic book! It’s time for Super Pursuit Mode. We would High-Speed drive ourselves and park our butts on the couch on Friday nights to watch Michael and KITT fight some bad guys. Michael with his powerful kicks aided by KITT, the superintelligent and nearly indestructible car. Can we call him a car? I think Partner is better suited.
So successful it went on to produce two spinoff tv movies, one featuring Hasselhoff - and even a reboot attempt in 2008. But K.I.T.T. will never be forgotten, he even made crossover appearances like Diff’rent Strokes, when Hasselhoff and K.I.T.T. rescued Arnold and Dudley.
Most recently, Walmart made a commercial promoting its new curbside pickup service featuring K.I.T.T.

I still love Knight Rider today!! It will never get old. The look, the sound effects, the characters, the amazing theme tune and, of course, the absolute legend that is KITT!!! Everyone needs a car like KITT. William Daniels did a superb job at bringing KITT to life!! An amazing show!!! Loved this video. It brought it all back for me!!! Thank you 👍👍

When Knight Rider came out I remember my mom telling me how bad ass the music and car was. Her words. Lol The show was so futuristic. KITT was the ultimate car then. KITT was known as Knight Rider. Hardly anyone called the car KITT. KITT definitely out shined David at first. Everyone talked about the black Knight Rider car. When the first season ended they just reran them all again until a season two was ready. Good times. Great memories.

I saw my first episode of Knight Rider when I was 8 years old, Knightlines. I was already a car enthusiast as a child. But when I saw this episode, I was beside myself: an awesome car that talks, drives by itself and jumps over obstacles! I was, I am and I will always be a Knight Rider fan!

I've watched the original series, the Knight Rider 2000 movie, Team Knight Rider, and the 2008 reboot. I honestly liked them all in their own respects, but my love goes out to the original series from 1982-1986. Much love to OG Knight Rider!!

problem with the 2008 reboot, I think they focused less on the characters, and more on the whizz-bang car (and SFX to match) that seemed to think it was a Transformer

I bought the box set of all 4 seasons of Knight Rider here in the UK on DVD a couple of years ago, which includes the pilot episode, it was shown on Thursday Evenings on the ITV Anglia service in the East of England during the early to mid 80's. I watched every episode and was so glad when the box set was released, my favourite episode was KITT VS KARR

all I remember is the Trans-AM was trashed beyond repair and they put the KITT's "heart" (i.e. essentially the computer 'bits') into a Ford Mustang or something

I loved the show when I was a little girl. I watched it a lot with my dad. Lost him to Covid last Sept. Was in the middle of a Knight Rider marathon when he got sick. Haven't had to heart to continue watching.

Ouch that’s gotta be tough. I feel you there, all 3 of us in my house ended up pretty busted up cause of covid. Landed my dad in the hospital for 8 days, I got to be real good friends with the gastrointestinal specialist, and his wife glad it in general. That crap very nearly killed us all, but I’m sorry to hear that. Especially what you were watching when he got sick. You’ve got my sympathies.

I remember back in 2008 me and my dad went to a car show in my hometown and I was able to see the original car Kitt and it talked and I took pictures of the car and with the car and I felt like a 10 year old kid it was so cool to see the car in person and I watched Knight Rider when it first aired on Tv and I own all four seasons of the show on dvd and digital on vudu.

Aaah, the Hoff. He alone was enough to sung down the Berlin Wall ^^ And i tried to give the Reboot a chance, even if the car didn't had the great look of the Knight Industries 2000. But after KARR (and i think KITT too) changed into a Transformer, the show was done for me. BTW: There was a earlier Spin-Off Series named "Team Knight Rider". 5 Drivers, 5 Cars with nearly the same computer capacities as KITT, but i think the cars weren't so nearly indestructible as the original Knight Industries

Knight Rider was one of my fave tv shows in the 80's. Two of my fave episodes we're Slum Dog Junk Yard & the one with the young gymnast who was being used to steal a diamond. I was watching the reruns, then my son got into it coz he loves cars & KITT. I bought him the whole set on DVD 📀.. lol😊

My. Favorite episode of Knight Rider was Junkyard Dog because I think It's really good episode but Kitt's revenge on the villain who dumped him in the acid pit was successful and he was doing fine for that purpose in life but I'm still a huge fan of the show itself and music and that's what I call it the 1980's was my favorite decade of all time

I turned 10yrs that yr. this show started in 4th grade. What kid did not want such a car before they're even old enough to drive yet? I watched "Boy Meets World" the following decade & slowly realized, "Oh shit, that's K.I.T.T." A.K.A. Feeny. If cars could talk today, I so want K.I.T.T. No spinoff can ever begin to replace the Original. Michael, Devon, Bonnie, April, K.I.T.T, RC3 are my genuine homies. R.I.P. 1982 Pontiac Trans Am😇.

Oh yes. Grew up as a kid watching Knight Rider. Saw Knight Rider 2000 with the Pontiac Banshee, Team Knight Rider tv series, KR reboot in 2007 (?) with the Mustang, etc. Fond memories. It was like a live action cartoon. They don't make action shows anymore like this or A-Team, Airwolf, Dukes of Hazard, Hunter, Hardcastle & McCormick, etcetera.

I don't know. When I was a kid it didn't matter how many times we turned the antenna we still couldn't pick up NBC. I did watch Knight Rider and other shows at my friends house when I could.

My favorite episode was on Season 3 with the evil K.I.T.T. I love the showdown they did! Btw, Season 3 was my fave season too. As a kid, I wasn't too happy about Hasselhoff getting buff on Season 4 & the additional characters & was just mildly impressed with improvised K.I.T.T. I was more impressed when the turbo boost was first done in the earlier seasons. That was awesome!

I got to set in k.i.t.t at universal studios hollywood for my birthday when I was a child.. I tell my son that k.i.t.t knows me. Hahaha knight rider is my everything in the world! Plies I went to the U of A where his daughter went to college.

I did watch Knight Rider back in the 1980s. So many episodes to remember. "Knight Of The Phoenix" (Pilot episode) "Inside Out" "Soul Survivor" "Trust Doesn't Rust" "White Bird" "Goliath" "Knight Of The Juggernaut" "KITT vs KARR" Knight Rider 2000 I only watched the first episode of the KR Reboot and when they started transforming KITT from a car into a Truck, that was it. I didn't watch it anymore.

Watched the 1998 reboot. In the original series liked the episode where Michael was listening to Yes’s Owner of a Lonely Heart and going on vacation. Huge fan I even built the car model.

How I came across the show was by the analog to digital transition of june of 2009. Though I didn't know that channel 10.3 (which was RETRO Tv up until 2012 or so) was playing knight rider at the time initially, but, I turned on my digital ready tv one day around the latter part of 7pm (or 1900 hours for those who use the 24 hour time), and happened to see the episode where k.i.t.t happens to jump into the apartment, and k.i.t.t asks Micheal how their planning on getting out of the apartment. I wasn't hooked on the show immediately at that point, but, it took me a few weeks later to really get attached to it. For those wondering, the few minutes left of that episode was all that I initially watched, and, I didn't watch the show for a few weeks, then I started watching it.

Sadly, he did not mentioned Catherine Hickland who was married to David IRL, but played Stevie who was the love interest to Michael Long/Knight and wound up taken a bullet for Michael Knight.

@@jameshendricks2197 Her character is more of a recurring role like Grace Lee Whitney was to the original Star Trek series. Recurring characters that have been on the show several times are usually an important role. Since she was Michael's girlfriend in the pilot episode, she became Michael Knight's girlfriend/wife in later episodes.

I was raise with the 80's show especially Knight Rider. Kitt will protect Michael Knight and any good human at all cost...the show teach us about helping people in need & caring about each other. And of course... Kitt with his hilarious humour. The words " One Man Can Make The Difference " will stay with me for the rest of my life. Michael Knight and Kitt For Life 😍
