It was a drama that I loved so much during my elementary school days😁 I could not see it on air, and I could not feel my heart all day long when I went to school😂
As much as this was an overall well made episode, the part with KITT didn't make any sense. A bunch of unemployed blokes, not only rebuilds a wreck a of supercar, (while being unable to set ignition in RC's car), they build SPM mode in, and waste time on a useless convertible mode whilst time was important, not to mention the mode would have inevitably weakened KITT's structure and added a lot of weight.
The joke with SPM is that the car's spoiler is still in the default position in the interior camera shot, instead of suspended out of sight as it should be. That's lazy, I'm sure they could have done the same scenes using the altered vehicle seeing it's not a physical driving scene anyway.
Another joke is that in other episodes they show KITT taking corners but no racing line is present, and even at the low speeds the actual footage was made, you can see how suspension dumps and recovers when the car turns and idiot behind the wheel wants to stay in lanes,.
I'm sorry, but I think Super Pursuit Mode was going too far. That's why I like Michael's line at 4:53, because KITT goes back to his normal Trans Am self. Although, I like what the C button does (I won't say what it does in case someone is watching this episode for the first time and hasn't seen Part 6 yet).
I guess Super Pursuit mode was so fast that they had to always take the quiet 🤫 back streets where no one ever went so they could avoid the traffic? Lolz 😂
This show has aged terribly bad. But they just wanted to go as far as they could in being spectacular, so laws of physics didn't matter that much really. I could not stop laughing at how naive we were by actually believing that part of that technology was real and existed. The fantasy of films, and the young age we had then did the rest.
yeah I think this should have ended at series 3, I didn't know they did a series 4 until I bought the box set. Back in the 90s on a Saturday morning show in the uk, they only showed series 1 to 3. just as well as I didn't find the 4 series all that good at all, Looked to me they were clutching at straws in the end. Same went for the series 5 with the A team.
When Stockwell appeared in the A Team and they just became his personal army, it just went against the whole idea of the show. And Frankie was just as bad an idea as RC in Knight Rider
